채색을 통한 야경의 심상표현연구

Abstract

예술가는 자신의 느낌이나 감정을 표현하고자 하는 욕망을 가지고 있다. 그리고 경험과 현실을 바탕으로 단순한 자연의 모방이 아닌 내면의식을 주관적이고 독창적인 조형언어로 표현하고자 한다. 이를 위해 자신이 말하고 싶은 것을 가장 잘 표현해 낼 수 있는 방법을 찾아야 할 것이다. 그러기 위해선 우선 끊임없는 자기 내면에 대한 눈뜨기 훈련을 해야 하며, 그 눈을 통해 인식된 것을 작품으로 표현해야 한다. 또한 예술가는 언제나 무언가를 말하고자 하고, 또 말하기 위한 나름의 방식들을 선택하게 된다. 그것은 시대에 따라 많은 양식의 변화로 발전해 왔다. 그런 의미에서 현대미술의 과제는 전통양식의 계승과 현대성을 어떠한 방법으로 조화롭게 작품화해야 하는가일 것이다. 특히 근대 한국화화단은 무분별한 서구의 문화유입과 수용으로 서구화를 지향하여 왔었다. 그러나 70년대 후반부터 전통에 대한 관심과 우리 문화를 재인식하게 되면서부터 우리 미술의 방향은 혼란을 겪게 되었으나, 현대에 와서는 새로운 재료의 사용, 다양한 기법의 확대와 공간의 창조 등을 통하여 시각적인 조형성을 강조하는 표현방법이 전개되어 가고 있다. 이러한 현대회화의 예술성과 전통성을 이 시대에 맞는 새로운 회화양식으로 발전시키기 위한 연구가 필요하다고 생각한다. 따라서 본인은 전통양식과 현대성을 융합하여 새로운 조형세계를 모색하는데 본 연구의 의미를 두고자 한다. 본 논문은 이러한 현대회화의 추구를 위해 작품에 대한 이론적 근거를 제시하고자 하였다. 즉 전통기법을 바탕으로 새로운 매체인 양지를 사용하여 본 작품 속에서 어떠한 방법으로 미의식을 추구하였는지에 대해 논하고자 한다. 그리고 야경의 이미지들을 내면화하여 서정적 추상표현으로 전개되었음을 서술하고, 이 같은 연구를 통해 개별 작품에 대한 분석을 하고자 하였다.|It is natural that artists have a strong desire to express their feeling and emotion. And, they are eager to represent an inside consciousness in subjective, original, formative language, not in a simple modeling after the nature, based on their own experience and the reality. So, artists should find the best possible way that encourages what they want to speak to be expressed and represented best. To find such a way, above all, artists should have themselves trained always how to be awakened to the inner side, and represent what they perceived through the awakening through a work. Further, artists have tended to say something constantly, and choose ways of their own to say it. Those ways have developed in accordance with a change of modes with the times. In such a sense, the liability of contemporary art is to find how to represent on a work the succession of the traditional modes in harmony with contemporariness. Especially, Korean paintings circle of modern times had oriented to be westernized with the indiscreet flow of and acception of western culture. But, since the late of the 70s when artists began to be interested in the tradition and recognize our culture, the direction of Korean art has been in a tangle and in contemporary times, Korean art has shown a development of expression focusing on visual formativeness, such as a destruction of the traditional modes and concepts, use of new materials, expansion of all of techniques, and creation of a space, etc. I think that a study is required to deal with the issues of contemporary art and develop a new mode of painting suitable for the times coordinating the artistry and traditionality of contemporary paintings. So, I suggest that this study has an implication that it helps create a formative world by blending the traditional modes into contemporariness. This study provides with a theoretical foundation of the work in pursuit of the contemporary paintings. That is, it is discussed how an aesthetic sense is represented on my work, in which a new media, a western paper, was used based on the traditional technique. Also, it is discussed how images of night scenes are internalized and represented with abstract description lyrically. Based on the discussion, I would like to analyze each work.
