중학교 미술과 교과서의 공예 영역 분석 및 학습 지도 방안 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 중학교 미술 교과서의 공예 영역 분석 및 학습 지도 방안에 관해 고찰한 것으로 국내외의 선행 연구를 바탕으로 구성주의와 공예 교육과의 관계를 고찰하고 7차 개정 교육 과정에서의 중학교 미술 교과서에 나타난 영역별 내용을 분석하여 구성주의가 갖는 교육적 의미와 구성주의에 기초한 중학교 공예 교육의 방향을 제시해 보고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 공예 교육은 다양한 재료를 사용하며 재료의 조합, 구성하는 조형 능력과 창의성을 기르며, 실생활 속에서 미적 아름다움을 추구하는 것을 주된 목적으로 한다. 그러나, 중학교 미술 교과서 7종 21권을 분석한 결과 각 출판사별로 공예 영역이 차지하는 비중은 타 영역에 비해 낮은 편이었으며, 현실적으로 다뤄지는 빈도가 낮은 편이라는 점이 선행 연구 보고를 통해 지적되고 있다. 이에, 본 연구에서는 공예 교육의 활성화를 위해 구성주의에 기초한 공예 영역 학습 지도 방안을 구상하여 제시하였다. 즉, 문제중심학습(PBL) 교수 · 학습 모형에 근거하여 문제 제시 과정, 과제 수행 과정, 발표 및 평가 과정으로 PBL전개 과정 단계를 설정하고 동기 유발, 문제 파악, 과제 수행 계획세우기, 문제 해결 모색하기, 결과 정리하기, 발표하기, 평가하기의 학습 과정을 통하여 학습자 중심의 자기주도적 학습과 협동 학습 능력을 강조하는 공예 교육 수업 모형을 구안하였다. PBL교수·학습 모형은 구성주의 인식론에 근거한 것으로서 궁극적으로는 학습자 중심의 교육, 결과보다는 삶 속에서 문제를 해결하는 탐구 과정 중심의 학습 활동을 추구한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 공예 교육 교수·학습 활동을 구성주의에 근거하여 적용해봄으로써 자기주도적 학습 능력과 창의성, 정서 함양 및 청소년기 올바른 인격 형성에 기반을 둔 효율적인 공예 교육 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.|This study analyzed the part of arts and crafts in middle school fine art textbooks and considered the instruction methods based on constructivist learning theory. It aims to find the educational meaning of constructivism and suggest an instruction method for middle school arts and crafts education based on constructivism through considering the relationship between constructivism and arts and crafts education from the internal and external previous studies and analyzing contents of each subcategory of the middle school arts textbooks in the 7th revised curriculum. The main aims of arts and crafts education are increasing organization and coordination ability, creativity using various materials, and pursuing beauty in the real life. But according to the results of analyzing of 21 textbooks from 7 different publishers showed the portion of arts and crafts category was lower than other categories and previous studies reported that the rate of conducting arts and crafts classes is low, too. Therefore, this study conceived and suggested an instruction method based on constructivism to revitalize arts and crafts education. The model established based on Problem Based Learning(PBL) mode has four steps such as presenting problems to learners, performing task progress, presentation, and evaluation. The suggested arts and crafts instruction model emphases the self-directed learning skills focusing on learner-centered education and collaboration on problem solving through the learning process such as inducing motivation, identifying the problem, planning to perform the task, searching the problem-solving methods, summing up the results, presentation, and evaluation. PBL model based on constructivism epistemology ultimately pursues learner-centered education and process-focused learning rather than the results in the real life situations. Therefore, this study tried to suggest an effective arts and crafts education approach to enhance self-directed learning skills and creativity, cultivate positive emotions, and establish a well-integrated personality for the adolescent period by adapting constructivist learning theory into arts and crafts education.
