조현형 성격 성향을 가진 대학생의 정서적 공감 결함에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 조현형 성격 성향을 가지는 대학생의 정서적 공감 능력의 결함을 정서적 반응성 과제를 사용하여 알아보고자 하였다. 조현형 성격 질문지(schizotypal personality questionnaire)의 점수에 근거하여 조현형 성격 성향군(n=18)과 정상통제군(n=17)을 선정하였다. 정서적 반응성 과제는 정서가가 유발되는 사회적 상황이 기술된 문장을 제시한 후 그 문장의 상황에서 본인이 보일 것 같은 정서와 동일한 정서를 선택하는 것이 요구되는 과제로, 연구 참여자에게는 두 개의 얼굴 중 자신과 가장 비슷한 정서를 느끼는 얼굴을 선택하는 것이 요구되었다. 행동자료 분석 결과, 조현형 성격 성향군이 정상통제군보다 유의하게 낮은 정확률과 빠른 반응시간을 보였다. 또한 조현형 성격 성향군이 정상통제군보다 대인관계문제 질문지의 총점과 하위 척도, 즉 비주장성, 냉담, 사회적 억제, 자기 중심성에서 정상통제군보다 유의하게 더 높은 점수를 받았다. 이에 덧붙여 조현형 성격 특성과 대인관계 문제 간에 정서적 공감 능력이 미치는 영향을 알아본 결과, 정서적 공감 능력의 부분 매개효과가 관찰되었다. 이는 조현형 성격 성향군이 정서적 공감의 결함을 가지고 있고, 이 결함이 이들이 가지는 대인관계 문제 중 일부(냉담)에 영향을 미쳤음을 시사한다.|This study investigated the deficits of emotional empathy in college students with schizotypal traits using an affective responsiveness task. Based on the scores of Schizotypal Personality Questionnaire (SPQ), normal control group (n=17) and the schizotypal-trait group (n=18) were determined. In affective responsiveness task, participants were asked to imagine how they would feel if they were experiencing some social situations, and then to select one of two emotional facial expressions matching to their emotions. The behavioral results of the affective responsiveness task showed that the schizotypal trait group exhibited significantly lower total accuracy rates and faster response times than the control group. And the schizotypal trait group showed significantly higher scores on the interpersonal problem (total, nonassertive, cold/distant, socially inhibited, vindictive/self-centered). In addition, schizotypal traits were significantly associated with interpersonal problem(cold), and emotional empathy partially mediated in this relationship. These results imply that college students with schizotypal traits have deficits of emotional empathy, which affects some of interpersonal problems (cold) these individuals have.
