정치교과서의 통일대비교육 내용에 관한 관점 연구
- Abstract
- 통일은 우리 민족이 이룩해야 할 과업이지만 그렇다고 하여 미래 통일 후의 모습이 유토피아적인 이상화된 모습으로 서술되어 통일의 당위성만을 지향해서는 안 된다. 또한 그 반대로 통일을 준비하는 과정이나 통일 이후의 모습이 문제점과 남한의 일방적인 손해 쪽으로 치우쳐서 청소년에게 통일에 대한 부정적인 인식과 북한 주민에 대한 거부감이 생겨서도 안 된다.
통일세대로서의 삶을 준비하는데 중요한 매체인 교과서는 이와 같은 양쪽측면을 균형적으로 제시하여 청소년들이 성인이 되어 통일문제 관련 국가 정책에 있어서 올바른 사고로 판단할 수 있는 버팀목이 되어야 할 것이다.
이러한 문제의식에 기반하여 본 연구는 고등학교 정치교과서 통일관련 단원인「Ⅴ.정치발전의 과제 4. 민족통일의 과제」의 서술내용이 통일을 기점으로 통일에 이르는 준비과정과 통일 후 우리사회의 모습과 과제에 대해 균형적인 관점을 유지하고 있는 지 살펴보았다.
이를 위해 먼저 통일관련 단원에서 통일 전·후로 교과서 내용구성을 나누고 이를 긍정적 관점과 부정적 관점 그리고 비고로 나누었다. 그리고 이를 분야별 차이가 있는지 살펴보기 위해서 각 관점의 내용을 정치 분야, 경제 분야, 사회 분야로 나누어 보았다.
