전래동요를 활용한 자연친화 놀이가 유아의 자연친화적 태도와 정서지능에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 전래동요를 활용한 자연친화 놀이가 유아의 자연친화적 태도와 정서지능에 미치는 효과에 대해 분석하여 전래동요를 활용한 자연친화 놀이의 교육적 가치를 밝히고, 전래동요를 활용한 자연친화 놀이의 활용에 대한 기초 자료를 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이와 같은 연구 목적에 따라 설정된 연구 문제는 다음과 같다. 1) 전래동요를 활용한 자연친화적 놀이가 유아의 자연친화적 태도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? 2) 전래동요를 활용한 자연친화적 놀이가 유아의 정서지능에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? 본 연구의 대상은 수원에 있는 H유치원의 만4세 유아 56명 중 A반 유아 30명을 실험집단으로 B반 유아 26명을 비교집단으로 하였다. 전래동요를 활용한 자연친화 놀이의 효과검증을 위한 실험은 10주간 총 20회 실시하였으며 실험집단은 ‘전래동요를 활용한 자연친화 놀이’를 실시하였고 비교집단은 정규수업 안에서 전래동요를 배우고 불러보는 활동만 하였다. 본 연구는 전래동요를 활용한 자연친화 놀이 처치 전과 후의 자연친화적 태도와 정서지능의 효과검증을 위해 자연친화적 태도검사는 Musser & Diamond(1999)가 제작하고 허윤정(2001)이 번안·수정한 ‘환경친화적 태도검사’ 중 ‘자연친화적 태도’를 측정하기 위한 11개의 문항을 사용하였고, 정서지능 검사는 Salovey & Mayer(1996)의 정서지능 개념모형을 토대로 김경회(1999)가 제작한 유아정서지능 교사평정척도를 사용하였다. 본 연구에서 설정된 연구문제에 따른 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, ‘전래동요를 활용한 자연친화 놀이’는 실험집단과 비교집단의 자연친화적 태도에 유의미한 차이를 보였으며 이는 본 활동이 자연친화적 태도의 향상에 효과가 있음을 보여준다. 둘째, ‘전래동요를 활용한 자연친화 놀이’는 실험집단과 비교집단의 유아의 정서지능에 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 특히 정서지능의 하위요인 중 ‘자기정서의 이용’, ‘타인정서의 인식 및 배려’, ‘자기정서의 인식 및 표현’, ‘감정의 조절 및 충동억제’, ‘교사와의 관계’의 점수는 향상되었다. ‘또래와의 관계’에서는 두 집단간 차이는 없었으나 두 집단 모두 점수가 상승하였다.|The currently study aims to investigate educational values of nature-friendly play using Korean traditional children's song and suggest basic data concerning application of nature-friendly play using it by analyzing the influence of nature-friendly play using Korean traditional children's song on children's nature-friendly attitude and emotional intelligence. The study subjects established according to the above study aims are as follows. 1) What are the influences of nature-friendly play using Korean traditional children's song on children's nature-friendly attitude? 2) What are the influences of nature-friendly play using Korean traditional children's song on children's emotional intelligence? The subjects of the study were 56 children at the age of four in H Kindergarten in Suwon. Among them, 30 children in Class A belonged to an experimental group while 26 children in Class B belonged to a comparative group. The experiment were conducted 20 times for ten weeks. The experimental group performed 'nature-friendly play using Korean traditional children's song' while the comparative group learned and sang Korean traditional children's song during regular lessons. For nature-friendly attitude test, 11 relevant questions among 'Pro-environmental Attitude Test' created by Musser & Diamond(1999) and adapted and modified by Heo, Yoon-Jeong(2001) were used, while for emotional intelligence test, Teacher's Role Scale for children's emotional intelligence made by Kim, Gyeong-Hoe(1999) based on Salovey & Mayer(1996)'s emotional intelligence concept model was used. The followings are results corresponding to the study subjects established in this study. First of all, 'nature-friendly play using Korean traditional children's song' presented a meaningful difference in nature-friendly attitude between the experimental group and the comparative group, which shows this activity has an effect on the improvement of nature-friendly attitude. Secondly, 'nature-friendly play using Korean traditional children's song' also presented a meaningful difference in emotional intelligence between the experimental group and the comparative group. In particular, among subordinate factors of emotional intelligence, scores regarding 'using self-emotion', 'recognizing and considering other's emotion', 'recognizing and expressing self-emotion', 'controlling emotion and inhibiting impulse' and 'relationship with teacher' improved. Although there was no difference in 'relationship with peers', both groups presented improved scores.
