전래동요를 활용한 말놀이활동이 유아의 또래유능성 및 언어표현력에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 전래동요를 활용한 말놀이활동이 유아의 또래유능성 및 언어표현력에 미치는 효과를 알아보고, 이를 통하여 유아교육 현장에서 유아의 또래유능성과 언어표현력 향상을 도울 수 있는 프로그램의 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이와 같은 연구목적에 따라 설정된 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1) 전래동요를 활용한 말놀이활동이 유아의 또래유능성에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가? 2) 전래동요를 활용한 말놀이활동이 유아의 언어표현력에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가? 본 연구에서는 경기도 의정부시에 소재한 A 어린이집의 만 5세 유아 16명을 실험집단으로, 동일지역의 B 어린이집 만 5세 유아 16명을 비교집단으로 선정하였다. 전래동요를 활용한 말놀이활동이 유아의 또래유능성 및 언어표현력에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 2010년 10월 4일부터 11월 26일까지 총 8주 동안 주 2회씩 총 16회에 걸쳐 실험집단 유아들을 대상으로 전래동요를 활용한 말놀이활동을 실시하였다. 전래동요를 활용한 말놀이활동은 실험집단 담임교사인 본 연구자가 직접 활동을 실시하였다. 본 프로그램은 전래동요를 활용한 말놀이활동으로 구성되어있다. 비교집단 유아들은 주 2회씩 총 16회에 걸쳐 실험집단과 동일한 전래동요 부르기 활동만을 진행하였다. 본 연구에서는 유아의 또래유능성을 측정하기 위하여 박주희와 이은해(2001)가 취학전 유아용으로 제작한 또래유능성 척도를 사용하였다. 유아의 언어표현력을 측정하기 위하여 장영애(1981)가 4∼5세 유아의 수준에 맞게 개발한 언어 능력검사를 수정․보완하여 사용하였다. 본 연구에서 수집된 자료의 통계처리는 PASW Statistics 18 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였으며 실험처치인 전래동요를 활용한 말놀이활동이 유아의 또래유능성 및 언어표현력에 미치는 영향을 검증하기 위하여 사후검사의 차이를 독립표본 t-검증을 실시하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전래동요를 활용한 말놀이활동은 유아의 또래유능성 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 이를 또래유능성 하위요소별로 살펴보면 실험집단 유아들의 친사회성, 주도성에 대한 점수가 비교집단 유아들의 점수보다 높게 나타나 전래동요를 활용한 말놀이활동이 유아의 또래유능성을 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 전래동요를 활용한 말놀이활동은 유아의 언어표현력 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 이를 언어표현력 하위요소별로 살펴보면 실험집단 유아들의 단어수, 문장수, 내용일치도, 내용의 연계에서 전래동요를 활용한 말놀이활동에 참여한 실험집단 유아들의 점수가 비교집단 유아들의 점수보다 높게 나타났다. 이는 전래동요를 활용한 말놀이활동이 유아의 언어표현력을 향상시켰음을 의미하는 것이다. 이상의 결과를 종합해보면 전래동요를 활용한 말놀이활동이 유아의 또래유능성 및 언어표현력에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있다.| This study intends to offer the basic data of the program helpful for the Language Expression and peer competence of the infants in the field by inspecting the effect of the Words Play Activities Using Traditional Nursery Rhymes Language Expression and peer competence of the infants. According to the purpose of study above, the study topics were set like followings. 1)How's the influence of Young Children's peer competence for young children's on the Words Play Activities Using Traditional Nursery Rhymes? 2)How's the influence of Young Children's Language Expression for young children's on the Words Play Activities Using Traditional Nursery Rhymes? In this study, 16 infants of 5-year-olds, A Child Care Center of in Uijeongbu were selected as the experimental group, and 16 infants of 5-year-olds, B Child Care Center of the same region as the comparative group. In order to examine the effect of the mine the effect of Traditional Nursery Rhymes on Young Children's Language Expression and peer competence of the infants of the mine the effect of Traditional Nursery Rhymes was performed for the infants of the experimental group, 2 times a week, total 16 times for 8 weeks from 4th, October to 26th, November, 2010. The infants of the comparative group participated in the only traditional Nursery Rhymes the same as the experimental group 2 times a week, total 16 times. In this study, to measure the peer competence of the infants, the infant preschool was created to by Ju-Hi Park & Un-Hae Lee (2001) was used. To measure the Young Children's Language Expression of the infants, used to assess their language expressiveness by Jang Young-Ae(1981)'s Language Expressive-ness Test. For the statistical processing of data collected in this study, independent sample t-test was using PASW Statistics 18. Date of pre-test and post-test was analysis by t-test fer knowing effects of the experiment. The results of this study are like followings. First, the Words Play Activities Using Traditional Nursery Rhymes had the positive effect on improving Young Children's peer competence. When examined by sub-sphere of the peer competence, the marks of infants of the experimental group were higher than those of the comparative group on the sociability, and leadership. So, it shows the Words Play Activities Using Traditional Nursery Rhymes may improve on Young Children's peer competence. Second, the Words Play Activities Using Traditional Nursery Rhymes had the positive effect on improving Young Children's Language Expression. When inspected by sub-sphere of Language Expression, the marks of the experimental group infants participating in the Words Play Activities Using Traditional Nursery Rhymes were higher than marks of the comparative group infants on the spheres of word count, sentences, for consistency, for tier. This means the Words Play Activities Using Traditional Nursery Rhymes improved Young Children's Language Expression. As the results of this study above, it shows the Words Play Activities Using Traditional Nursery Rhymes has the affirmative effect on Young Children's Language Expression and peer competence.
