장애아동 어머니의 양육 스트레스와 우울의 관게

Abstract

본 연구는 장애아동 어머니의 양육 스트레스와 우울간의 관계에서 성격특성, 대처방식 및 사회적 지지의 매개효과를 검증해 보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울, 경기 지역의 장애인 복지관을 이용하는 136명으로 양육 스트레스 척도, 다요인인성검사의 성격척도, 대처방식 척도, 사회적 지지 척도 및 우울 척도를 사용하여 설문을 실시하였다. 설문을 통해 얻은 자료는 One Way ANOVA(일원배치분산분석), 상관분석, 중다회귀분석 및 구조적 관계에 대한 모형 검증을 위해 AMOS를 사용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애종류에 따른 양육 스트레스, 성격특성, 대처방식, 사회적 지지 및 우울의 차이를 알아보기 위해 일원배치분산분석을 한 결과, 장애 종류별 유의미한 차이는 없었다. 둘째, 양육 스트레스, 성격특성, 대처방식, 사회적 지지 및 우울간의 상관을 알아보기 위하여 상관분석을 한 결과, 양육 스트레스와 우울은 정적상관을 보였고, 성격특성과 사회적 지지는 부적상관을 보였다. 그러나 대처방식은 유의미한 상관이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 양육 스트레스, 성격특성, 대처방식, 사회적 지지 및 우울간의 매개효과를 확인하기 위해서 중다회귀분석을 한 결과, 양육 스트레스와 우울의 관계에서 성격특성과 사회적 지지의 매개효과가 있음이 밝혀졌다. 넷째, 장애아동 어머니의 양육 스트레스와 우울 간의 구조적 관계에 대한 연구모형과 가설을 검증하기 위하여 구조방정식 모형검증 및 경로분석을 통해 살펴 본 결과, 성격특성과 사회적 지지에 있어서 매개효과가 있다는 것이 밝혀졌다. 또한 성격특성이 사회적 지지보다 양육 스트레스와 우울 간에 관계에 더 영향을 미친다는 것이 밝혀졌다. 마지막으로, 본 연구의 임상적 함의와 한계 및 후속연구에서의 제안을 논의하였다.|The purpose of this study was to examine the moderating effect of personality, support and coping behavior on the relationship between parenting stress and depression among mother with handicapped children. One hundred thirty six mother were recruited from Metropolitan Seoul areas and Kyunggi area were asked to fill out the The Parenting Stress scale, 16PF and The social support scale, The coping behavior scale, BDI. The data was analyzed through one way ANOVA, correlation and multiple regression analysis, AMOS. The results of the study are as follows: First, one way ANOVA showed that the group did not have statistically significant group differences. However personality and social support's subdirectory have statistically significant group differences. Second, the correlation analysis showed statistically significant correlations among parenting stress, personality, social support and depression. However the coping behavior did not have statistically significant correlations. Third, the multiple regression analysis showed the mediating effects of personality, social support for the relationship between parenting stress and depression. Forth, a structural model of partially mediating role of personality, social support and coping behavior was hypothesized and tested regarding the relationship among variables and depression. Results from the structural equation model analysis showed that the hypothesized model fit to the data. The analysis showed that the personality and social support mediated the effects of parenting stress to depression. That is, the parenting stress influenced directly the depression and indirectly via the personality, social support. Therefore the coping behavior influenced depression but indirectly personality and social support. Finally, the clinical implication and limitation of this study and suggestion for future studies were also discussed.
