음악학원 및 교습소의 교육적 환경에 대한 실태 조사와 그 개선점 연구

Abstract

피아노 교육은 우리나라에서 가장 일반화 되고 보편화된 음악 교육의 대표적 영역이다. 현대 음악 교육에서 강조되는 통합적 교육과 전인 교육의 지향점은 피아노 음악 교육에서도 공유되어야 할 가치로 인식되고 있으며 오늘날 피아노 교육은 양적인 측면을 넘어서 이와 같은 질적인 측면에 대한 재고가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구자는 성공적인 음악교육의 요건이라 할 수 있는 피아노 학원 및 교습소의 음악 교육 내용과 그 환경의 실태를 알아보기 위해 현재 정읍지역의 피아노 학원 및 교습소의 교사들을 대상으로 의견을 수렴하였으며, 이러한 기관들의 교육 환경과 교사의 자질 및 교재 사용 등의 문제를 중심으로 조사 결과를 분석하여 보다 바람직한 피아노 교육을 위한 개선 방안을 제안하고자 하였다. 우리나라의 주요 음악교육 기관 중 하나로 그 역할을 담당하는 피아노 학원 및 교습소는 일반인 뿐 아니라 전문 음악인들에게도 음악교육의 기초적 체험을 제공한다는 면에서 중요한 의미를 지닌다. 따라서 교사의 전문성 향상을 위한 노력과 함께 관련 기관의 연수 프로그램 실시 등으로 학원의 교육적 질이 관리될 필요가 있으며, 다양하고 풍부한 교육 서비스를 제공하기 위해 학생의 특성에 맞는 교수법, 과학적이며 실용성이 높은 교재에 대한 연구와 개선이 요구된다.|As a professional field, music training courses can be largely divided into public schools and private educational facilities such as institutes and academies. In this reality, there's a need to research actual conditions of private institutes and academies, and then make possible improvements for them. This paper aims to research actual conditions of music private educational facilities in Jeongeup area through surveys, and to suggest solutions for possible problems. The survey features three aspects of questions: qualification of teachers, appropriateness of curriculums, and condition of facility environment for education of music. As a conclusion, those who teach in private music facilities should put constant efforts to be more qualified teachers with professional spirits and responsibility. As for the government, regular re-training courses for teachers should be designed to support them. In addition, curriculum and teaching principles that are suitable for each student are needed in teaching basic knowledge on music and appreciative techniques. Beyond the conventional textbooks represented by Beyer and Czerny, more creative and practical teaching materials are required for raising education level. Lastly, more efforts should be put to improve educational environment of private institutes, taking more consideration into conditions, tuning, and repairment of piano and sound-proofing status installed in the facilities.
