음악 능력과 언어, 수학논리 능력과의 상관관계

Abstract

본 연구는 음고 지각력, 리듬 능력과 언어 능력, 수학논리 능력의 상관관계를 조사하기 위해 실시되었다. 본 연구의 대상으로 일반 초등학교에 재학 중인 4-6학년 학생 60명(남학생 30명, 여학생 30명)을 모집하였다. 연구는 2019년 1월 26일부터 2019년 3월 20일까지 진행되었으며, 개별적으로 1회 실시되었다. 연구대상자의 음고 지각력과 리듬 능력, 언어 능력과 수학논리 능력을 알아보기 위해 리듬 재현력 검사, 박 지속력 검사, 음고 지각 검사와 다중지능 검사의 총 4가지 검사를 진행하였다. SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 사용하여 독립표본 t-검정, 일원분산분석, Pearson 상관분석으로 수집된 자료를 분석하였다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학교 4-6학년 학생들의 음악 능력은 음고 지각력 점수(p < .01), 박 지속력 점수(p < .05), 리듬 재현력 점수(p < .01) 모두 언어 능력과 유의한 정적 상관이 있었다. 둘째, 초등학교 4-6학년 학생들의 리듬 능력은 박 지속력 점수(p < .01), 리듬 재현력 점수(p < .01) 모두 수학논리 능력과 유의한 정적 상관이 있었다. 연구 결과, 초등학교 4-6학년 학생의 음악 능력은 언어 능력과 유의한 정적 상관이 있고, 리듬 능력은 수학논리 능력과 유의한 정적 상관이 있다고 나타났다. 본 연구는 선행연구의 결과들을 지지하기 위한 이론적 근거로 사용될 수 있으며, 추후 언어 능력과 수학논리 능력의 향상을 위한 음악치료 및 음악교육에서 기초자료가 될 수 있음을 시사한다.|This study was conducted to examine the correlation between pitch perception ability, rhythmic abilities, linguistic ability, and mathematical-logic ability. The subjects of this study were 60 students in the 4th to 6th grade (30 boys and 30 girls) who were enrolled in the general elementary school. The research was conducted once individually from January 26, 2019 to March 20, 2019. In order to investigate the subjects' pitch perception ability, rhythmic abilities, linguistic ability and mathematical-logic ability, four tests were conducted: reproduction of musical rhythms test, beat keeping ability test, pitch perception ability test, and multiple intelligence test. The data collected were analyzed through independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and Pearson correlation analysis, using SPSS 22.0 statistics program. The results are summarized as follows: First, the linguistic ability of the 4-6 graders in elementary school showed a significant positive correlation with pitch perception ability scores (p < .01), beat keeping ability scores (p < .05), and the reproduction of musical rhythms scores (p < .01). Second, the mathematical-logic ability of the 4-6 graders in elementary school showed a significant positive correlation with the beat keeping ability score (p < .01) and the reproduction of musical rhythms score (p < .01). The results of this study showed that the musical abilities of elementary school students in grades 4-6 have a significant correlation with linguistic ability, and rhythmic abilities have a significant correlation with mathematical-logic ability. This study can be used as a theoretical basis to support the results of previous studies, which suggests that it can be a basic data for music therapy and music education to improve linguistic ability and mathematical-logic ability in the future.
