음악교육학 석사학위 논문의 연구 동향

Abstract

영문초록: p. 58-59|본 연구는 서울소재 7개 교육대학원 음악교육 석사학위 논문 중 2000년 2월부터 2003년 2월까지의 음악교육 관련 논문들의 연구경향을 분석하여 앞으로의 음악교육 연구의 새로운 방향을 제안하고 음악교육 분야에 관심을 갖고 있는 연구자들에게 도움을 주고자 하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구논문은 연구대상별, 연구영역별, 연구방법별로 분석하였다. 연구의 결과에 따른 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구대상에 있어서 유아, 대학 보다는 초등과 청소년 대상의 연구가 월등하게 많았다. 이것은 논문의 주제가 어느 한 대상에 너무 치우쳐 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 어느 한 대상에 편중됨이 없이 음악교육의 체계적·균형적 발전을 위해서는 다양한 연령과 학교 급별에 대한 연구가 이루어져야 하겠다. 둘째, 연구영역 중 음악교육과정 영역이 절반가량을 차지하였는데, 이것은 문헌 연구방법의 영향이라고 할 수 있다. 그리고 음악교육과정 영역은 연구주제의 상당 부분이 교과서의 감상 영역 분석에 많이 치중되어져 있다. 또한, 음악교수-학습방법도 그 연구의 대부분이 전통적 교수법을 적용한 프로그램이 대부분이었고, 이것을 자료개발이나 실제 수업에 활용 가능한 수업 지도안을 제시한 연구가 많았음을 알 수 있었다 이렇게 연구 영역별 논문 주제가 어느 특정 영역에 한정되어 있어서 균형 있는 음악 발전에 문제가 있다. 셋째, 연구방법에 있어서 문헌 위주의 연구 방법이 절반 이상으로 나타났는데, 대부분의 문헌연구들이 무엇인가 새로운 것을 밝혀내기 보다는 유럽과 북미의 이론들을 정리, 소개하는 수준에 머무르고 있어서 많은 문제점이 있다. 조사연구, 실험연구, 질적 연구방법을 사용한 논문은 매우 저조하여 음악교육 연구방법이 한 연구방법에 치중되어 있는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 넷째, 연구의 다양화를 위해서는 석사 논문 주제의 다양화가 선행되어야 하며 음악의 제 요소와 제 요인들을 다각도로 분석하고 세분화하여서 음악에 어떻게 적용하고 영향을 미치는지 구체적으로 알아보고 확인하는 작업이 수행되어야 하겠다.|The goal of this study is to suggest the new direction of study of future music education and to try to give help to researchers to have interest about the field of music education, by analyzing the research trend of theses related to music education from February in 2000 to February in 2003 out of master's theses for music education in 7 graduate schools of education in Seoul. The thesis was analyzed by subject, research field, and research method. Conclusion to be based on findings is as follows: First, in subject, study on elementary school students and youths was by far than early childhood and university student. By this, it can be seen that the subject of thesis is leaning to any one subject. So, for systematic and balanced development of music education without laying disproportionate emphasis on any one subject, study by diverse ages and schools and classes should be made. Second, out of research field, music curriculum research occupies half. Then, this may be said as the influence of research method of literature. And, as for music curriculum research, considerable part of study subject is leaning to the analysis of listening activity of textbook. In addition, as for teaching and leaning method research, program to which traditional teaching method was applied was most. And, it could be seen that there was much study which was presented for the development of lesson plan that application is possible in real teaching. As thesis theme by the field of music education is being limited to any special field like this, there is problem in balanced music development. Third, research method centering around literature showed over half. Most literature studies are staying at the level to arrange and introduce the theories of Europe and North America than clarify something new. So, there are many points at issues. Theses that survey research, experiment research, and qualitative research were used were very low. Thus, it can be seen that the research method of music education is leaning to one study method. Fourth, for the diversification of research, diversification of theme of master's thesis should precede. And, by analyzing and subdividing all the elements and all the factors of music versatilely, work to examine and confirm how they are applied to music and how they influence concretely should be performed.
