요한 세바스찬 바흐의 플루트 소나타 C Major, BWV 1033의 연주법 비교 연구

Abstract

This is the thesis on Study of playing method for Flute Sonata in C major BWV 1033 composed by Johan Sebastian Bach, 1685 ~ 1750, representative composer in the Baroque Era. As the Baroque Era ended in 1750, the year of Bach’s death, Bach is the most influential composer in Baroque Era. He composed 6 Sonatas for Flute. Among them, BWV 1033 was composed in 1720.

Bach Sonata in C major, BWV 1033 is a sonata played with flute, keyboard and bass instrument. As a kind of Church Sonata, it is consisted of 4 movements : the first movement in Andante and Presto, the second movement with Allegro, the third movement with Adagio and the forth movement with Minuet I and II.

In the Baroque Era, Articulation, Softness, Decorative Note were not indicated on the score. It made the performer play it freely. The playing method was not standardized and the interpretation of music was differed by each performer.

This thesis examines the musical characteristic of the Baroque Era and changed by development of Flute and instrumental music in the Baroque Era. Furthermore, it compares the playing method in Baroque Era and Modern Era in diversity of articulation, decorative notes and playing method of each performer.

For this, three albums have been chosen among the modern performer: Flutist Barthold Kuijen, Emmanuel Pahud and Peter-Lukas Graf|본 논문은 바로크 시대의 대표적인 작곡가인 요한 세바스찬 바흐(Johann Sebastian Bach, 1685-1750)의 플루트 다장조 소나타 BWV 1033의 작품을 연주하는 연주법에 관한 논문이다. 바로크 시대는 1600년부터 1750년으로 바흐의 죽음을 끝으로 시대를 구분 짓게 된다. 이렇듯 바흐는 바로크 시대에 가장 영향력이 큰 작곡가이다. 요한 세바스찬 바흐는 플루트를 위해 6개의 소나타를 작곡 하였고, 그 중 BWV 1033은 1720년경에 작곡 되었다. 바흐의 플루트 다장조 소나타 BWV 1033은 플루트와 건반악기, 통주저음 악기로 연주되는 소나타이다. 교회 소나타의 종류이며, 총 4악장으로, 1악장은 안단테-프레스토, 2악장은 알레그로, 3악장은 아다지오, 4악장은 미뉴에트Ⅰ과Ⅱ로 구성되어있다. 바로크 시대에는 작곡가가 악보에 아티큘레이션, 셈여림, 장식음 등을 표기하지 않고 연주자에게 자유로이 연주법을 사용하여 연주하도록 하였기에, 음악을 해석하는 것이 연주자 마다 달랐고, 연주법을 정형화하여 연주하지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 바흐가 작품 활동을 했던 바로크 시대의 음악적 특징과 바로크 시대의 기악음악과 플루트의 발달로 인해 변화하였던 것들에 대해 살펴보았으며, 바로크 시대의 플루트 연주법과 현대 시대 3인의 플루티스트 ‘바르톨드 쿠이젠’ (Barthold Kuijken), ‘엠마누엘 파후드’ (Emmanuel Pahud), ‘페터 루카스 그라프’ (Peter-Lukas Graf)의 음반을 선정하여 연주자 마다 아티큘레이션의 다양성과 장식음 및 연주법을 비교 연구해보았다.
