온라인 토익수업에서의 한국 대학생들의 동기와 성취도 분석

Abstract

오늘날 세계는 정보화 시대로 진입하면서 점차 국제화, 세계화 되고 있다. 이러한 국제화, 세계화라는 시대적 조류에 맞춰, 영어는 오늘날에 있어서 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화 등의 분야에서 세계 공통어로 통용되고 있으며, 특히 영어의 의사소통 능력이 중요시 되고 있다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 온라인 토익을 수강하고 있는 서울에 있는 모 여대 대학생을 대상으로 인터뷰와 설문지 그리고 토익 성적을 통해서, 한국 사람들이 제일 많이 응시하고 있는 토익에 대해서 살펴보았다. 특히 한국 대학생들의 CAT(Computer-Adaptive Test; 컴퓨터가 각 개인의 수준에 맞는 문제를 제공) 방식으로 문제를 제공하는 온라인 토익에서의 만족도와 토익 점수의 성취도와의 상관관계와 그리고 영어 학습의 언어적 차원인 내적/외적 동기와 학습자 차원의 자기 확신, 노력 조절, 태도와 성취도와의 상관관계를 알아보았다. 그 결과 온라인 토익에 대한 만족도와, 동기, 노력 조절과 태도는 성취도에 영향을 미치지 않았으며, 단지 자기 확신만이 성취도에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 그리고 온라인 토익 강의를 듣는 학생들이 온라인 토익 강의를 들으면서 느낀 불편 사상을 살펴보면서 온라인 토익 프로그램 상의 문제점과 개선점도 알아보았다.|In these days, the world is entering international and global era. Going with the current of the times like this, English is more and more important in politics, economy, society, and culture. Specially the communication skill of English is important. In this paper through the interview and survey with the women‘s university students in Seoul, I examined TOEIC test that Korean people take the most. Specially I examined the correlation between the achievement of TOEIC test and satisfaction degree on scores of Online-TOEIC that offers items to Korean university students by the way of CAT(Computer-Adaptive Test), and the one between intrinsic/extrinsic motivation, self-efficacy, effort-regulation, attitude and the achievement of TOEIC test. As the result, the degrees of satisfaction on the Online-TOEIC, motivation, effort-regulation, and attitude had no effect on the achievement and only self-efficacy influenced the achievement significantly. Looking into the inconvenience that students had felt taking the Online-TOEIC test, I tried to find the problems and improvement on the Online-TOEIC programme.
