앤디 골드워시의 생태미학 개념이 적용된 바디아트 제작

Abstract

4차 산업의 가속화로 끊임없이 발전하고 변화하는 현대사회에서 환경 보호에 대한 인식은 지속적으로 논의가 되어왔다. 환경 철학의 한 부분을 형성하는 생태 미학적 관점에서 본 환경은 인간의 삶을 구성하는 사회적·문화적인 문제 인식에 영향을 끼쳤다. 생태 미학적 관점에서 바라본 바디아트 디자인은 이러한 사회문화적 배경을 바탕으로 작가가 표현하고자 하는 도구의 수단으로써 그 가치를 전달해 주는 역할을 수행한다. 본 연구는 생태학적 사고가 반영된 앤디 골드워시의 작품을 생태미학의 특성을 적용하여 바디아트 작품을 제작함으로써 독창적인 바디아트 디자인을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구의 방법으로는 국내·외 단행본, 학술지, 선행연구의 인터넷 자료를 바탕으로 생태미학과 앤디 골드워시, 바디아트의 이론적 배경을 고찰하였고, 생태미학의 특성을 통일, 상호보완성, 동적 균형 3가지로 분류하여 각 특성을 바탕으로 앤디 골드워시의 작품을 응용하여 상반신 바디아트 2점, 전신 바디아트 3점, 총 5점의 작품을 제작하였다. 작품 Ⅰ은 생태미학 특성 중 통일을 앤디 골드워시의 작품 ‘Rowan leaves laid around hole’을 모티브로 응용하여 작품을 제작하였다. 에너지의 발산을 불규칙한 선의 배열로 UV 블랙라이트 기법과 회화적 기법을 사용하여 표현하였다. 작품 Ⅱ는 생태미학 특성 중 상호보완성을 앤디 골드워시의 작품 ‘Line to follow colour in stone’을 모티브로 응용하여 작품으로 표현하였다. 동적인 선의 표현을 위해 반대되는 색을 적용하여 회화적 기법으로 나타내었다. 작품 Ⅲ은 생태미학 특성 중 상호보완성을 앤디 골드워시의 작품 ‘Balanced rocks’를 모티브로 작품으로 나타내었다. 자연의 무질서를 정적인 균형감으로 표현하기 위해 단청의 문양을 응용하여 회화적 기법으로 바디아트를 제작하였다. 작품 Ⅳ는 생태미학 특성 중 동적 균형을 앤디 골드워시의 작품 ‘Leaf trumpet’을 모티브로 응용하여 바디아트 작품에 디자인 하였다. 원의 겹침을 자연의 진화로 표현하여 자연이 주는 활기찬 색감으로 에어브러쉬 기법과 회화적 기법을 사용하여 표현하였다. 작품 Ⅴ는 생태미학 특성 중 동적 균형을 앤디 골드워시의 작품 ‘Thine ice’를 모티브로 응용하여 작품을 제작하였다. 점, 선, 면을 사용하여 얼음의 소멸성을 재해석하여 에어브러쉬 기법과 회화적기법으로 바디에 표현하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 생태의 미학적 특성이 나타난 앤디 골드워시 작품의 특징을 바디아트에 재해석하여 적용할 때, 기존의 작품이 가지고 있던 형태와 요소들이 새롭게 다양한 형태로 표현됨을 알 수 있었다. 또한 다양한 작가와 작품을 응용한 바디아트 디자인의 제작이 이루어져 바디아트의 영역과 장르가 더욱 다양화되고 표현의 광범위한 방향성을 제시하는 바디아트 디자인 연구가 지속되어지길 기대한다.|According to accelaration of the four industrial revolution, the environmental awareness in modern society has been consistently discussed. The environment on the part of ecological aesthetic viewpoint which consists of a part of environmental philosophy has influenced social and cultural problem recognition in human life. The design of body-art by ecological aesthetic viewpoint performs a role of delivering the value as a means of tool with artists want to express something based on social and cultural background. The purpose of this study is suggestion of creative body art design works applying Andy Goldsworthy works in ecological thought to ecologial aesthetic characteristics. The method of this study is to find theoretical background of ecological aesthetic, Andy Goldsworthy and body-art based on internal and external books, journals and advanced research through the internet. The three classification by unification, complimentary cooperation and dynamic balance into which ecological aesthetic characteristics classified made two upper half of body art works, three whole body art works ? which are total five works, which are inspired by works of Andy Goldsworthy. The work Ⅰis created by unification in ecological aesthetic characteristics inspired by the work of Andy Goldsworthy - ‘Rowan leaves laid around hole.’ It is expressed with U-V black light and pictorial techniques according as emission of energy is shown by irregular lines. The work Ⅱ expressed complimentary cooperation in ecological aesthetic inspired by the work of Andy Goldsworthy - ‘Line to follow colour in stone.’ It is expressed with pictorial techniques according to opposite colors to show expression of dynamic lines. The work Ⅲ expressed complimentary cooperation in ecological aesthetic inspired by the work of Andy Goldsworthy - ‘Balanced rocks.’ It is expressed with pictorial techniques applying Dan-cheong patterns according to nature disorder of nature is shown by static balance. The work Ⅳ expressed dynamic balance in ecological aesthetic inspired by the work of Andy Goldsworthy - ‘Leaf trumpet.’ It is expressed with airbrush and pictorial techniques in lively colors of nature according as is evolution of nature is shown by layered circles. The work Ⅴ expressed dynamic balance in ecological aesthetic inspired by the work of Andy Goldsworthy - ‘Thine ice.’ it is expressed with airbrush and pictorial techniques using spots, lines and faces according to reinterpret extinction of ice. In terms of this study, once characteristics of Andy Goldsworthy works in ecological aesthetic characteristics are interpreted by the works in body art. the shapes and factors in the original works are changed to new various types of them. Also the works in body art inspired by various artist’s works make the category and genre of body art diversified and it will keep design study in body art to make broaden direction of expression.
