아르데코 양식을 응용한 메이크업 연구

Abstract

변화와 새로움을 추구하는 메이크업 아티스트(make-up artist)는 현대문화에 맞추어 새로운 감각을 추구하며 메이크업 트렌드(trend)를 창출해야한다. 그러기 위해서는 끊임없이 메이크업에 접목시킬 대상을 찾아야 하고 이는 예술양식을 기반으로 한다. 현대사회는 매스미디어의 급진적인 발달로 대중문화가 확산되고 다국적 문화의 양상을 띠고 있으며 이러한 사회적 문화에 유사한 예술 양식은 아르데코 (Art Deco)양식이다. 20세기 초, 새로운 변화와 혁신의 물결 속에 나타난 아르데코(Art Deco)양식은 1925년 당시 미적가치와 더불어 산업의 변화에 밀접한 영향을 받아 탄생하였고 다양한 문화의 융합을 통하여 모든 예술 분야와 더불어 괄목할 만한 변화를 가져왔다. 따라서 본 연구는 현대 메이크업에 새로운 감각의 트렌드를 제안하기 위하여 아르데코(Art Deco)양식을 응용한 작품을 제시하였다. 작품 제작을 위한 모티브로서는 아르데코(Art Deco)양식의 재현이 나타났던 1960년대 메이크업 중 아르데코(Art Deco)의 특성이 나타나있는 메이크업을 중심으로 분석하였다. 논문은 총 5장으로 구성된다. 제Ⅰ장은 서론 부분으로 연구의 목적 및 필요성과 연구의 내용 및 방법으로 본 논문의 전반적인 체계를 제시하고 있다. 제Ⅱ장은 이론적 고찰로서 아르데코(Art Deco)의 시대적 배경과 개념, 특징 그리고 1960년대의 사회적 배경과 문화적 특징에 대해 고찰하였다. 제Ⅲ장은 아르데코(Art Deco)양식을 응용한 1960년대 메이크업 분석으로 앞에 살펴본 이론적 배경을 토대로 1960년대 메이크업의 형태와 아르데코 양식의 특성을 응용한 메이크업을 선과 형, 색채, 재질로 나누어 분석하였다. 제Ⅳ장은 앞에 살펴본 이론적 고찰과 분석을 토대로 아르데코(Art Deco)양식을 현대적으로 재해석하여 작품을 제시하였다. 제Ⅴ장은 결론으로 본 연구결과에 대한 요약을 기술 하였다.

|Make-up artist to seek change and newness should seek new sense and create make-up trend by fitting to modern culture. For it, he(or she) should find the subjectto have to graft to make-up endlessly, and this is based on art style. In modern society, mass culture is spread by the rapid development of mass media and it is showing the style of multinational culture, and art style to be similar to this social culture is Art Deco style. Early in the 20th century, Art Deco stye which appeared in the wae of new change and innovation was born under the influence to be close to the change of industry with asethetic value, and it brought change to be worthy of close attention with all the fields of art through the fusion of diverse cultures. Thus, this study presented the work which applied Art Deco style so as to propose the trend of new sense for modern make-up. As for the motive for work manufacture, this researcher analyzed centering around the make-up that the feature of Art Deco is showing out of make-up in 1960s when the reproduction of Art Deco style showed. This thesis is composed of 5 chapters totally. Chapter I is presenting the whole system of this thesis with the goal and necessity of study and the contents and method of study as introduction part. In the chapter II, this researcher studied the period background, concept and feature of Art Deco and the social background and cultural feature of 1960s as theoretical study. In the chapter III, this researcher analyzed by classifying the form of make-up in 1960s and the make-up which applied the feature of Art Deco style into line, form, color and material on the basis of theoretical background examined above as the analysis of make-up in 1960s which applied Art Deco style. Chapter IV presented work by reinterpreting Art Deco style modernly on the basis of theoretical study and analysis examined above. In the chapter V, this researcher described the summary for this findings as conclusion.
