아르누보 양식의 조형적 특성을 응용한 네일아트 디자인

Abstract

본 연구는 자연의 생명력을 모태로 하는 아르누보의 여성스러운 양식적 특성이 네일아트 디자인으로 자유롭게 표현될 수 있는 지를 살펴보고 아르누보의 대표적인 특징인 꽃과 식물의 유기적인 곡선과 추상적, 상징적 양식의 특징을 응용하여 여성의 감성적 이미지를 네일아트 디자인 작품으로 제시하는 것이다. 본 연구의 내용은 다음과 같다 첫째, 매니큐어의 정의와 역사, 산업경향을 조사하여 고찰한다. 둘째, 매니큐어의 분류와 그중 디자인 시도가 가능한 네일케어와 네일아트를 중심으로 표현기법들을 분석한다. 셋째, 아르누보의 정의와 이론적 형성배경을 알아보고 고찰한다. 넷째, 아르누보 양식의 특성과 그에 나타난 유형을 분석한다. 다섯째, 아르누보의 유형 중 여성적 이미지를 대표하는 꽃과 유기적인 곡선의 형태를 대표적인 작품을 통해 장르별로 그 특성을 분석한다. 여섯째, 이를 바탕으로 작품화한다. 이를 위해 아르누보 양식과 네일아트에 관련된 국내외 서적과 작품, 선행연구 논문 등을 참고로 문헌조사를 하여 아르누보 작품에서 나타난 조형적 특성 등을 연구하였으며 특히 아르누보의 자연적 모티브 가운데 여성적 아름다움을 상징하는 꽃과 식물의 유기적인 곡선의 형태로 그 범위를 한정하여 분석 연구한 결과를 네일아트 디자인으로 작품화하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 형태적 측면에서는 아르누보의 유기적 곡선을 이용하여 여성의 감성 이미지를 효과적으로 도출시킬 수 있다. 둘째, 색채적 측면은 아르누보의 특징적 색채를 사용하여 여성의 심리적 감성변화를 효과적으로 표현할 수 있다. 셋째, 재료· 표현방법적 측면으로는 네일케어 및 네일아트의 기법을 이용하여 각각의 재료가 갖는 가능성을 갖고 아르누보 양식을 표현함으로써 네일아트 디자인으로 제시될 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 넷째, 장식적 표현 기법으로는 두 가지 색상의 에나멜과 인조보석, 글리터를 사용함으로써 여성스럽고 화려한 분위기를 강조할 수가 있다. 다섯째, 자연적 모티브를 표현주제로 삼고 있는 아르누보가 현재의 자연적 소재를 다루는 네일아트 디자인의 모태가 되어 아름다운 여성적 감성미를 표현할 수 있는 양식으로의 방향성을 제시한다. 앞으로 네일아트가 훌륭한 조형 예술로 인식되고 발전되기 위해서는 더 많은 네일 전문가들의 다양한 창작활동이 요구된다. 따라서 앞으로의 연구는 아르누보 양식을 응용한 작품의 축적은 물론이요 다양한 미술사조의 응용이 네일아트 디자인에 접목되어 연구되어야 할 것이다.|Being characterized by female-oriented creations and consumption structure, nail art adopts the space or fantastic themes in expressing women's beauty sometimes and incorporates everyday life and nature into its expression other times. Such a tendency corresponds to the Art Nouveau style and aesthetics, which focused on curves and feminine elements in its growth process, in that it's a new creative style that uses natural materials of life force and potential growth as motives and brings out the possibility and design of each material for the sake of free art of personality seeking after new ideals and values of beauty. The previous studies on nail art usually paid attention to expressive techniques, customers' satisfaction with service, color coordinations and health conditions. This study set out to suggest some nail art designs with women's sensitive images by applying the representative characteristics of Art Nouveau, which include flowers, organic curves, and abstract or symbolic styles. It conducted literature study by consulting books, works, and previous studies home and abroad in order to set up a systematic theory. After reviewing the origin, history, and industry trends of nail art, it examined nail care in which new attempts of nail art designs could be made and analyzed the materials and expressive techniques of nail art. After reviewing Art Nouveau, an art trend in history, analyzing its types and characteristics, and adopting them as expressive themes of nail art, the study drew the following conclusions: First, in terms of forms, the use of Art Nouveau and organic curves made it possible to produce women's sensitive images to deliver feminine and sophisticated images and nature's ecological life force. Second, in terms of colors, women's psychological and emotional changes were effectively expressed by using the cold and turbid pastel colors of Art Nouveau, splendid complementary colors, fantastic and subtle colors, and delicate gold colors. Third, in terms of materials and expressive methods, the following techniques were employed: hand painting, design silk wrap, air brush, pro-trans, marbling, gel art, acrylic design sculpture, embo art, 3D art, and artificial gemstone. The common materials include acrylic, silk, glue, paper, and artificial gemstone, which were used to express the Art Nouveau style and thus proved themselves to be used in nail art designs. Fourth, in terms of decorative expressions, two-color enamel, artificial gemstone, and glitters were used to emphasize a feminine and gorgeous atmosphere. And fifth, Art Nouveau, which adopts natural motives as its expressive themes, provided itself as the matrix for today's nail art designs of natural materials and thus suggested some directions towards the expression of beautiful female sensitivity. Through those processes, eight nail art designs were created depicting an elegant dream, whispering, fantasy, waiting, splendid yearning, pride, pure heart, and longing for beauty. In future, more nail art experts need to engage in more diverse creative activities so that nail art can grow and be perceived as wonderful formative art. It's also necessary to create high quality nail art designs with a focus on artistic features by incorporating various artistic trends. The study suggested nail art designs as new motives by investigating some nail art works where Art Nouveau was applied.
