소외계층을 위한 오케스트라 활동이 학생 자아존중감 및 사회성 발달에 미치는 영향

Abstract

이 연구에서는 소외계층을 위한 오케스트라 활동이 학생 자아존중감 및 사회성 발달에 변인별로 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 소외계층 학생의 음악교육, 자아존중감 및 사회성 발달의 중요성에 관한 참고 문헌을 고찰하였다. 소외계층을 위한 오케스트라 활동을 하는 학생의 자아존중감 및 사회성 발달을 알아보기 위해 서울, 경기 지역의 소외계층을 위한 오케스트라 4곳에서 활동 중인 초등학교 3학년 ~중학교 3학년 학생 총 129명에게 설문조사를 실시하였다. 총 129부의 설문지를 배부하여 모든 설문지를 회수하였고, 이 중 불성실한 응답과 무응답 설문지 27부를 제외한 102부를 통계 처리하였다. 수집한 설문지는 기술통계분석(SSPS 22.0)과 독립표본 t-검정(independent t-test), 일원배치분산분석(One-way ANOVA)을 실시하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 소외계층을 위한 오케스트라 활동이 변인별로 학생 자아존중감에 미치는 영향은 초등학생이 중학생보다 높은 자아존중감을 나타냈고, 활동시간이 길수록 높은 자아존중감을 나타냈으며, 현악기를 하는 학생이 관?타악기를 하는 학생보다 높은 자아존중감을 나타냈다. 부모님의 권유로 오케스트라 활동을 하게 된 학생이 자발적 참여나 선생님?친구의 권유로 참여하게 된 학생보다 자아존중감이 높게 나타났으며, 오케스트라 활동에 만족하는 학생일수록 높은 자아존중감을 나타냈다. 소외계층을 위한 오케스트라 활동이 변인별로 학생 사회성 발달에 미치는 영향은 목관악기를 하는 학생이 현악?금관?타악기를 하는 학생보다 높은 사회성을 나타냈고, 오케스트라에 활동에 만족할수록 낮은 사회성을 나타냈다. 음악을 전공할 의향이 있는 학생이 없거나 잘 모르겠다고 응답한 학생에 비해 높은 사회성을 나타냈다. 이러한 연구 결과가 소외계층을 위한 오케스트라 활동의 발전을 위한 기초연구로서 도움이 되기를 바라며, 소외계층을 위한 오케스트라가 더욱 발전되어서 오케스트라 활동을 통해 학생들의 자아존중감 및 사회성 발달에 도움이 될 수 있기를 바란다.| The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of orchestra activity on the self-esteem and social development of the under privileged people. to this end referenced literatures on the importance of music education, self-esteem and social development of under privileged students was examined. To investigate the self-esteem and social development of the orchestra students for the under privileged, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 129 students from the third grade of elementary school to third grade of junior high school in four orchestras for the under privileged in Seoul and Gyeonggido. A total of 129 questionnaires were distributed and all questionnaires were retrieved, and of these 102 respondents were statistically treated except for the unfair response and the non-response 27 questionnaire. The collected questionnaires were analyzed by descriptive statistics(SSPS 22.0), independent t-test, and one-way ANOVA. As a result, the effect of orchestra activity for the under privileged showed elementary student has higher self-esteem than junior high school student, and the longer the activity time, the higher the self-esteem, student who played strings showed higher self-esteem than students who played wind and percussion. The student who participated in orchestra activities by parent’s recommendation showed higher self-esteem than the students who participated by voluntary, teacher, and friend’s recommendation. Students who were satisfied with orchestra activities showed high self-esteem. The orchestra activity for the under privileged effects on student’s social development showed student who played woodwind had higher sociality than students who played strings, brass, and percussion, and the more satisfying the activity in the orchestra, the lower the sociality. it showed student who wants music as major had high sociality compared to students who did not or did not know want music as major. It is hoped that these results will be helpful as a basic study for the development of orchestra activities for the under privileged, and the orchestra for the under privileged will be further developed and help the students develop self-esteem and sociality through orchestra activities.
