성인애착과 결혼만족도의 관계

Abstract

본 연구는 성인애착과 결혼만족도의 관계에서 공감능력과 정서조절곤란의 매개효과를 가정하고 이를 검증해 보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울과 경기 지역에 위치한 기혼남녀 398명이었으며, 성인애착 척도(Experiences in Close Relationships Scales: ECRS), 결혼만족도 척도(Marital Satisfaction Inventory: MSI), 공감능력 척도, 정서조절곤란 척도(Difficulties in Emotional Regulation Scale: DERS)를 사용하여 설문을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 각 변인의 상관분석 결과, 기혼남성의 애착회피와 애착불안은 결혼만족도와 유의미한 부적상관이 있었고, 기혼여성은 애착회피만이 결혼만족도와 유의미한 부적상관이 있었다. 또한 공감능력은 결혼만족도와 정적상관이, 정서조절곤란은 부적상관이 있었다. 둘째, 집단간의 차이를 확인하기 위하여 t 검증을 한 결과, 여성이 남성보다 정서조절곤란이 더 높았고, 결혼만족도에 있어서 남성이 여성보다 높았다. 셋째, 성인애착과 결혼만족도의 관계에서 공감능력의 매개효과를 알아보기 위하여 회귀분석을 한 결과, 유의미하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 성인애착과 결혼만족도의 관계에서 정서조절곤란의 매개효과를 알아보기 위하여 회귀분석을 한 결과, 기혼남성에서는 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 기혼여성에서는 매개효과가 나타나지 않았다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 한계 그리고 후속연구를 위한 제언에 대하여 논의하였다.|This paper examined the mediating effect of emotion-dysregulation and capacity for empathy on the relationship between adult attachment and marital satisfaction, and attempted to verify the effect. For the paper, 398 married men and women responded to the questionnaires drawn using Experiences in Close Relationships Scales (ECRS), Marital Satisfaction Inventory (MSI), Empathic Ability Scale, and Difficulties in Emotional Regulation Scale (DERS). The result can be summarized as follows: First, the correlation analysis of each factor showed that both attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance showed a statistically significant negative correlation with marital satisfaction for married men, while such correlation was observed in attachment avoidance only for married women. The emphatic ability and the emotion-dysregulation were found to have a statistically significant positive and a negative correlation respectively with marital satisfaction. Second, the result of t-test to find out differences between the groups showed that women experienced more emotion-dysregulation than men, and men experienced higher marital satisfaction than women. Third, regression analysis was conducted to look into the mediating effect of emphatic ability on the relationship between adult attachment and marital satisfaction, and it was found that the effect was not statistically significant. Fourth, another regression analysis on the mediating effect of emotion-dysregulation on the relationship between adult attachment and marital satisfaction showed that the effect exists for married men, but not for married women. Lastly, the implications and limitations of the study was discussed and recommendations for follow-up research was suggested.
