서비스 디자인 요소를 활용한 결제 지원 서비스 디자인 툴킷 개발 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 해외 여행 및 해외 결제의 증가에 따라 야기되는 해외 여행 상황에서의 결제 시 일어나는 여러 문제 상황을 해결하고자 서비스 디자인 컨셉을 개발하였으며, 결제 지원 서비스 컨셉 개발에서 필요한 서비스 디자인 요소를 툴킷화하여 이를 활용할 수 있도록 하는 연구를 진행하였다. 여행 상황에서의 결제의 경우 평소의 일반적인 결제와는 다른 환경에서 진행되는 만큼 현재 다양한 서비스들이 편재되어 존재하나, 여전히 해외 여행 시 결제 상황에서 사용자의 어려움이 존재하였다. 이에 여행 및 결제 상황 여정에 대한 이해와 디자인 요소를 파악하여 여행 상황에서의 결제 지원에 대한 서비스 디자인적 접근이 필요하다.

여행 상황에서의 결제 지원 서비스를 구체적으로 알아보기 위해 본 연구에서는 여행에서의 결제 여정을 구체적으로 성립하고, 이를 기반으로 여행 상황에서의 결제 지원 서비스에 필요한 디자인 요소를 발견하였다. 이를 기반으로 한중일 여행 상황에서의 결제 지원 서비스에 대한 사용자 니즈를 알아보는 중국 및 일본 필드리서치 및 국제 워크숍을 각 국가별로 진행하였다. 워크숍을 통해 여행의 여정에 따라 사용자의 니즈가 상이하고, 결제 수단의 유형, 법과 제도, 사용자의 능력 및 상황, 물리적/환경적 요소에 대한 니즈가 있음을 확인하였다. 이에 따라, 본 연구에서는 여행 상황에서의 결제 시 고객이 여정과 여러 고려 사항에 대한 중요성을 파악하였다.

앞서 파악한 여행 상황에서의 결제 시 고객 여정과 고려 사항을 응용하여, 여행 상황에서의 결제 지원 서비스 컨셉 개발 프레임워크 및 디자인 툴킷을 제안한다. 이는 특수한 상황에서의 결제 지원 서비스 디자인을 하기 위한 아이데이션 단계에서 활용될 수 있으며, 향후 결제 지원 서비스 산업의 발전에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다.|This study aims to develop a service design concept to address the challenges that arise in payment situations during overseas travel, which have increased with the rise of international travel and cross-border payments. The research focuses on creating a toolkit of essential service design elements for developing payment support service concepts, enabling practical application. Unlike standard payment scenarios, payments in travel contexts occur in unfamiliar environments. Despite the availability of various services, travelers still face significant difficulties during payment processes while abroad. Therefore, understanding the travel and payment journey and identifying relevant design elements are crucial for a service design approach to payment support during travel.

To gain a deeper understanding of payment support services in travel contexts, this study establishes a comprehensive payment journey specific to travel scenarios and identifies design elements necessary for payment support services in such situations. Based on these findings, the study conducted field research and international workshops in China and Japan to explore user needs for payment support services in travel situations among Chinese, Japanese, and Korean users. The workshops revealed that user needs differ depending on the travel journey, including the types of payment methods, legal and institutional factors, user capabilities and circumstances, and physical/environmental considerations. Accordingly, the study highlights the importance of understanding the travel journey and various considerations in payment situations during travel.

Building on the identified travel payment journey and considerations, the study proposes a framework and design toolkit for developing payment support service concepts tailored to travel scenarios. These tools can be utilized during the ideation phase of designing specialized payment support services, potentially contributing to advancements in the payment support service industry.
