생태동화를 활용한 유치원-가정연계 도서대여활동이 유아의 환경친화적 태도 및 행동에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 생태동화를 활용한 유치원-가정연계 도서대여활동이 유아의 환경친화적 태도 및 행동에 미치는 효과를 알아보는데 목적이 있으며, 이러한 목적에 따라 설정된 연구 문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 생태동화를 활용한 유치원-가정연계 도서대여활동이 유아의 환경친화적 태도에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가? 2. 생태동화를 활용한 유치원-가정연계 도서대여활동이 유아의 환경친화적 행동에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가? 3. 생태동화를 활용한 유치원-가정연계 도서대여활동의 전개과정에서 나타난 유아의 환경친화적 태도 및 행동 변화는 어떠한가? 본 연구는 서울시에 위치한 J초등학교병설유치원 만 5세반 두 학급의 유아 56명(실험집단 28명, 통제집단 28명)을 대상으로 실시하였다. 실험집단은 생태동화를 활용한 유치원-가정연계 도서대여 활동을 2011년 4월 28일부터 7월 6일까지 10주간 실시하였으며, 통제집단은 도서대여활동을 실시하지 않았다. 실험집단은 총 15권(각 2권)의 생태동화로 도서대여 활동을 진행하였다. 유아의 환경친화적 태도를 측정하기 위한 연구도구로는 Musser와 Diamond(1999)가 제작한 CATES-PV(The Children's Attitudes Toward the Environment Scale-Preschool version)를 기초하여 허윤정(2001)이 수정 ․ 번안한 도구를 사용하였다. 유아의 환경친화적 행동을 측정하기 위한 도구는 송명선(2006)이 작성한 유아의 환경인식 질문지를 기초하여 이은희(2009)가 교사가 측정하도록 수정·보완한 연구도구를 사용하였다. 본 연구에서는 교사 대신 부모가 유아의 환경친화적 행동을 측정하도록 하였다. 생태동화를 활용한 유치원-가정연계 도서대여활동이 유아의 환경친화적 태도 및 행동에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 실험집단과 통제집단의 사전·사후 검사 점수를 SPSS Windows 12.0 프로그램을 사용하여 평균점수와 표준편차를 산출하고, 두 집단 간의 차이를 t-검증하였다. 또한 생태동화를 활용한 유치원-가정연계 도서대여활동 전개과정에서 나타난 유아들의 환경친화적 태도와 행동의 변화를 알아보기 위해 교사-유아 간, 유아-유아 간의 상호작용을 녹음하고 관찰기록지에 기록하였으며, 후에 녹음자료를 전사하여 이를 토대로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 생태동화를 활용한 유치원-가정연계 도서대여활동을 경험한 실험집단이 통제집단보다 환경친화적 태도 점수가 유의미하게 높게 나타났다. 이는 생태동화를 활용한 유치원-가정연계 도서대여활동이 유아의 환경친화적 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다고 할 수 있다. 둘째, 생태동화를 활용한 유치원-가정연계 도서대여활동을 경험한 실험집단이 통제집단보다 환경친화적 행동 점수가 유의미하게 높게 나타났다. 이는 생태동화를 활용한 유치원-가정연계 도서대여활동이 유아의 환경친화적 행동 향상에 효과적이라고 할 수 있다. 셋째, 생태동화를 활용한 유치원-가정연계 도서대여활동 전개과정에서 나타난 유아의 행동변화를 살펴보면 실험초기에는 유아들이 주변의 자연환경에 대한 관심이 적었으며 환경을 보호하고 자원을 절약하는 모습이 부족하였다. 그러나 실험이 진행되면서 자연을 사랑하고 보호하려는 태도가 내면화되어가고 있었으며 깨끗한 환경을 만들어가는 태도 및 행동으로 변화하였다. |The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of kindergarten-home connected book lending program with application of ecological fairy tales on kindergarten children's eco-friendly attitude and behavior. The following are the research problems that were established according to this objective. 1. What are the effects of kindergarten-home connected book lending program with application of ecological fairy tales on kindergarten children's eco-friendly attitude? 2. What are the effects of kindergarten-home connected book lending program with application of ecological fairy tales on kindergarten children's eco-friendly behavior? 3. What are the changes of kindergarten children's eco-friendly attitude and behavior in the process of applying the kindergarten-home connected book lending program with application of ecological fairy tale? This study was carried out with 56 5-year-old children(28 children for the experimental group, 28 children for the control group) of two classes at J kindergarten in Seoul. The experimental group was carried out the kindergarten-home connected book lending program with application of ecological fairy tales for 10 weeks from April 28, 2011 to July 6. The control group followed the regular curriculum. To measure children's eco-friendly attitude was used a tool, that Heo Yun-jeong(2001) modified and adapted on the basis of CATES-PV(The Children's Attitudes Toward the Environment Scale-Preschool version) made by Musser and Diamond(1999) was used. To measure children's eco-friendly behavior a tool, that Lee Eun-hee(2009) modified and supplemented based on the questionnaire of kindergarten children's' environmental recognition prepared by Song Myeong-seon(2006) was used. This study allowed parents instead of teachers to measure kindergarten children's eco-friendly behavior. The findings of the study are summarized as follows: First, the experimental group, which experienced the kindergarten-home connected book lending program with application of ecological fairy tales, scored higher on eco-friendly attitude than the control group. This can be said that the kindergarten-home connected book lending program with application of ecological fairy tale had positive influence upon kindergarten children's eco-friendly attitude. Second, the experimental group, which experienced the kindergarten-home connected book lending program with application of ecological fairy tale, scored higher on eco-friendly behavior than the control group. This can be said that the kindergarten-home connected book lending program with application of ecological fairy tale is effective for improving preschoolers' eco-friendly behavior. Finally, the children in the experimental group showed behavioral changes while the experiment went on. They had little interest in natural environment around in the early experiment, and were lacking in the image of protecting environment and saving resource. However, they proceeded with being internalized the attitude of aiming to love and protect nature while the experiment was progressed, and were changed into the attitude and behavior of proceeding with making clean environment.
