색채를 이용한 웨딩 메이크업 이미지 상승효과에 관한 연구

Abstract

개인의 사상과 개성이 중요시 되는 현대사회에서 단순히 좋아하는 색상이 아닌 자기 자신의 고유의 색을 파악하고 색을 입히는 행위인 퍼스널 컬러(personal color)는 점차 전문화 되어가고 있다. 이러한 경향에 따라 웨딩 메이크업에서도 색채와의 연관성을 부각시키고 있으며 개개인의 피부색에 맞추어 알맞은 색채를 활용하는 점이 중요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 미혼의 여성들이 선호하는 웨딩 메이크업의 이미지를 도출한 후, 퍼스널 컬러에 따라 피부 톤을 분류하여 설문에서 도출된 이미지의 메이크업을 적용하여 실험하고자 한다. 또한 퍼스널 컬러에 따른 색채의 활용으로 이미지의 상승효과를 실증적으로 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 구체적인 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 웨딩 메이크업과 퍼스널컬러, 그리고 색채를 이용한 이미지 상승효과 에 대하여 이론적 고찰을 한다. 둘째, 육안 측정과 분광 측색계 Minolta CM-2600d를 이용하여 찬 피부와 따뜻한 피부를 분류하여 특성을 파악한다. 셋째, 설문조사를 통하여 선호하는 웨딩 메이크업 이미지를 도출한 후 차 가운 피부 톤과 따뜻한 피부 톤에 적용하여 이미지와 피부색상의 변화에 따른 색채 제안을 한다. 넷째, 평가설문을 통해 색채활용과 이미지의 상승효과를 규명하고자 한다. 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 설문조사를 통해 얻은 만 19세에서 만 35세 미만의 미혼여성들에게 선호하는 웨딩 메이크업 이미지를 도출 한 결과 로맨틱한 웨딩 메이크업 이미지를 가장 선호하였으며, 연령이 낮을수록 로맨틱한 이미지를 더 선호하는 경향을 보였다. 둘째, 육안 측정과 분광 측색기 Minolta CM-2600d를 이용하여 피부색을 측정한 결과 차가운 피부 톤은 블루 언더베이스(blue under base)의 자색기미가 있는 붉은 피부 톤을 가지고 있었으며 L*, a*, b*의 평균값은 L* 63.50, a* 10.59, b* 16.82으로 cool/light유형과 가장 유사한 데이터 결과를 얻어 실험자의 피부색이 차가운 피부 톤이라는 진단 결과를 도출하였다. 반면 따뜻한 피부 톤은 붉은 기가 낮은 노란색상의 옐로 언더 베이스(yellow under base)를 가지고 있었으며 피부색의 평균값은 L*는 66.01, a*는 9.14, b*는 17.59으로 soft/warm유형에 가장 유사한 데이터 결과를 얻어 실험자의 피부색이 따뜻한 톤이라는 진단 결과를 도출하였다. 넷째, 적색도가 높은 차가운 피부 톤에 어울리는 베이스 색채로는 옐로우 계열의 색상이 가미되어 있는 베이스 색상을 이용하여 메이크업하면 붉은 기가 감소되는 결과를 얻었으며, 황색도가 높은 따뜻한 피부 톤은 핑크 계열의 색상이 가미되어 있는 베이스 색상을 이용하면 피부의 노란 톤을 감소시키는 결과를 얻었다. 다섯째, 적색도가 높은 차가운 피부 톤의 색조 메이크업은 붉은 기를 감소시키기 위하여 채도가 낮은 푸른 계열의 색상을 이용하여 메이크업하는 것이 붉은 기미를 감소하는 효과를 나타내며, 적색도가 낮고 황색도가 높은 따뜻한 피부 톤은 채도가 높은 계열의 바이올렛 색상을 이용하면 노란 기미의 피부색을 감소할 수 있는 이미지 상승의 효과를 도출하였다. 여섯째, 피부 톤과 상반된 색조 메이크업의 결과 피부 톤의 보정이 이루어 지지 않았으며 피부가 칙칙해 보이고 정돈되어 보이지 않았다. 따라서, 개 인 색채에 맞는 색조 메이크업의 적용은 피부 톤을 개선시킴과 동시에 이 미지의 상승효과를 가져온다고 볼 수 있다. 이상의 결과를 종합해보면, 차가운 피부 톤에 로맨틱한 이미지의 웨딩 메이크업을 하기 위해서는 옐로우 계열의 베이스 색상으로 피부를 표현하고 적색도와 채도가 낮은 푸른 계열의 라벤더 색상의 색조 메이크업이 효과적임을 알 수 있었다. 반면 따뜻한 피부 톤에 로맨틱한 이미지의 웨딩 메이크업을 하기 위해서는 핑크 계열의 베이스 색상으로 피부메이크업을 하고, 색조 메이크업으로 로맨틱의 이미지에 알맞은 페일(pale)한 푸른 색조를 쓰되, 적색도가 높고 채도가 높은 색상의 라벤더 색상을 이용하여 메이크업 하는 것이 이미지가 상승하는 웨딩 메이크업의 효과를 얻을 수 있었다. 본 연구는 서울, 경기, 충청 지역에 거주하는 만 19세에서 만 35세 미만의 미혼여성들로 한정하고 웨딩 메이크업의 로맨틱한 이미지에 국한되어 있는 제한점이 있다. 따라서 이상과 같은 연구의 제한점을 후속연구에서는 설문대상자 거주지, 실험자의 다양한 피부 톤을 확대 조사하여 폭 넓은 웨딩 메이크업 이미지와 색채 특성을 파악하고 개인색채의 지각을 비교분석하여 보다 체계적인 구성의 실질적인 연구가 필요하다고 사료된다. | In today’s society in which personal ideologies and individualities have been valued, a personal color as an act of identifying one’s unique colors instead of simply one’s favorite colors and coloring is something that has gradually become specialized. According to this trend, wedding makeup is also spotlighting the relationship with colors, and it is important to utilize suitable colors for the skin tone of each individual. Therefore, this study is to withdraw the preferred images of single women regarding wedding makeup, to classify skin tones according to personal color, and to conduct a test through the application of the makeup from images deduced from a survey. Also, the study aims to identify the effect of improving an image with the utilization of colors in accordance with personal color. The detailed contents of this study include the following. First, the study undertakes a theoretical consideration of wedding makeup, personal color, and the effect of improving an image using colors. Second, the study discovers the characteristics of by classifying cold skin and warm skin using observations with the naked eye and a spectroradiometer, the Minolta CM-2600d. Third, the study deduces the preferred image regarding wedding makeup through a survey, and proposes colors according to changes in the image and skin tones by applying the image to the cold skin tone and the warm skin tone. Fourth, the study is to reveal the effect of improving an image, resulting from the utilization of colors through an evaluation survey. The conclusions of the study include the following. First, as a result of deducing a preferred image regarding wedding makeup in single females aged between 19 and 35 from the survey research, they preferred the romantic wedding makeup image in most cases, and the lower their age was, the more they preferred a romantic image. Second, as a result of measuring skin tone using naked eye observation and a spectroradiometer, the Minolta CM-2600d, the cold skin tone had a red skin tone with a purple tint of blue underbase. Also, the mean values of L*, a*, and b* were L* 63.50, a* 10.59, and b* 16.82; thus, the study obtained a data result most similar to the cool/light type. Thereby, the study deduced a diagnostic result that the skin tone of a model was a cold skin tone. Meanwhile, the warm skin tone had a yellow underbase which was of yellow color with a low red tint, and concerning the mean value of the skin tone, L* was 66.01, a*was 9.14, and b* was 17.59. Therefore, the study obtained data results most similar to the soft/warm type, and deduced a diagnostic result that the skin tone of a model was a warm tone. Fourth, regarding base colors matching a cold skin tone with a high level of red color, the study achieved a result that a red tint was reduced in makeup when using a base color added with yellow group colors, and another result that the yellow tone in the warm skin tone with a high level of yellow color was reduced when using a base color added with pink group colors. Fifth, concerning the makeup for a cold skin tone with a high red tint, it was effective in reducing a red tint in makeup using blue group colors with a low chroma in order to reduce a red tint. As for a warm skin tone with a low level of red color and a high level of yellow color, it was deduced that the there is the effect of improving an image, which can reduce a skin tone with a yellow tint when using violet color with a high chroma. Sixth, as a result of wearing a color makeup in contrast with a skin tone, the skin tone was not corrected; thus, the skin looked dark and didn’t look neat. Therefore, the application of color makeup attuned to personal colors may not only improve a skin tone but also bring about the effect of improving an image, at the same time. In summarizing the above results, in order to wear wedding makeup with a romantic image for a cold skin tone, it is effective to express the skin with yellow group base colors, and to wear color makeup with a lavender color in blue group colors which have a low level of red color and a low chroma. On the contrary, with a view to wearing a wedding makeup with a romantic image for a warm skin tone, it was effective to have a wedding makeup with an enhanced image, when wearing a makeup with pink group base colors, using pale blue colors suitable for a romantic image, and, yet, wearing a makeup using lavender color with a high level of red color and a high chroma. The following may be the limitations of the research: the study limited research subjects to single women with ages that were between 19 and 35, living in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Chungcheong areas, and since it is limited to a romantic image of wedding makeup, it would be necessary to propose colors according to various wedding makeup images. Regarding such limitations of the research, follow-up research may be able to identify a wider array of wedding makeup images and the characteristics of colors by investigating the extended residential area of research subjects and diverse skin tones of test takers, and it is also required to conduct practical research with more multilateral and systematic composition through a comparative analysis of the recognition of personal colors.
