분열형 인격 성향군의 정서지각과 주의의 관련성에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 분열형 인격 성향군의 정서 지각과 주의력의 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 즉, 분열형 인격 성향군이 정서 지각의 결함을 보이는지, 정서지각의 결함과 주의가 어떻게 관련되어 있는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 특히 Mirsky (1991)의 주의력 4 요인 모델에 근거하여 어떤 주의 유형이 정서 지각 결함을 가장 잘 예측할 수 있는가를 알아보고자 하였다. 서울시내 대학교에 재학 중인 396명의 여자대학생(만 18∼26세)에게 Schizotypal Personality Questionnaire(SPQ; Raine, 1991)를 실시하여, 대상자들 중 상위 7%의 SPQ 점수를 받은 이들을 분열형 성격 성향군 집단 (n=14)으로, 평균 SPQ 점수를 받은 이들을 정상통제군(n=15)으로 구성하였다. 주의 검사와 얼굴재인 검사, 얼굴표정 확인 검사 및 얼굴표정 변별 검사를 실시하였다. 얼굴 정서 지각 과제에서는 천장효과를 예방하고, 실제 생활에서의 정서 지각 상황과 유사한 난이도와 생태학적 조건을 유도하기 위해, 변형된 얼굴 자극과 짧은 제시 시간을 사용하였다. 그 결과, 분열형 인격 성향군은 얼굴 표정 확인 과제에서 유의한 손상을 보였다. 통합 정서 지각 과제의 반응시간에 대한 분석에서, 집중-집행 주의 요인인 Stroop 검사의 색채-단어 과제와 정서 지각 사이에 유의한 관련성이 관찰되었다. 또한, 분열형 인격 성향과 정서 지각과의 상관 분석 결과, 분열형 인격 성향의 SPQ 총 점수, 정적 특성 및 부적 특성과 얼굴표정 확인 과제의 수행 사이에 유의한 상관이 나타난 반면, 세 가지 특성과 정서 유형간의 상관은 관찰되지 않았다. 종합하면, 분열형 인격 성향군이 얼굴 정서 확인 과제에서 정상 통제군에 비하여 유의한 수행 저하를 보였으며, 이 수행 저하는 분열형 인격 성향군이 보인 집중-집행 주의 결함과 관련되어 있음이 관찰되었다. 또한, 분열형 인격 성향의 정적 특성 및 부적 특성이 정서 지각의 결함과 유의한 상관을 보였다.|The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between emotional perception and attention in a sub-clinical schizotypal personality disorder sample through the experimental design of ecological validity and reduced ceiling effect. Especially, based on Mirsky(1991)'s attentional model, of which attentional factor was to be found to best predict the observed deficit in the emotional recognition. Three hundred ninety-six female university students aged 18 ~ 26, in Seoul, completed Schizotypal Personality Questionnaire(SPQ; Raine, 1991) of which 14 scoring in the upper 7 %(schizotypal group) and 15 scoring in the average(control group) completed measures of attention, facial affect. Attentional tests were administered to each participant of the study, including the Trail-Making Test(TMT), d2 test, digit span, Stroop test. A computerized facial affect recognition test tool(presented by the E-PRIME; Psychology Software Tools, Inc.) was developed by the author. All the facial affect recognition tests(facial recognition, facial affect identification, and facial affect discrimination) used either modified stimuli or a short presentation of stimulus. After controlling the group difference in BDI, BAI, the ANCOVA analysis showed the schizotypal group had deficits in facial affect identification. The concentration performance index of the d2 test, the response time of the word task, and the color-word of the Stroop test was lower in the schizoypal group, and the color-word task of the Stroop test was, in the stepwise multiple regression, found to be associated with facial emotional processing. In addition, it was found by the partial correlation that the deficits in the facial affect identification test were in the relationship with the SPQ total score, positive and negative schizotypy.. To summarize, the sub-clinical schizotypal personality disorder, partially, had deficits in facial affect recognition in the possible relationship with attention. These results provide support for the potential trait status of facial affect recognition deficits in schizophrenia and schizophrenia spectrum disorders.
