대학생의 경조사매너교육에 대한 인식 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 대학생들을 대상으로 사회생활에서의 경조사 참석의 중요성에 대한 견해와 경조사매너인식의 정도를 파악하고 이들이 필요로 하는 경조사매너교육의 내용과 방안에 대해 살펴봄으로써 앞으로 대학생들이 경조사에 대해 바른 인식을 갖고 건전한 경조사문화의 정착을 도모할 수 있도록 대학 내 경조사매너교육의 방향을 모색하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 질문지를 작성하고, 서울시내 4년제 남녀공학에 재학 중인 학생들을 임의로 표집 하여 조사연구를 실시하였다. 총 450부를 최종분석 자료로 사용하였으며, SPSS 14.0을 이용하여 통계처리를 하였다. 주요 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 대학생들이 갖고 있는 경조사 참석의 중요성 인식정도를 살펴본 결과 5점 만점에 평균 3.88점으로 다소 높은 수준으로 중요성을 인식하고 있었다. 하위영역별로 살펴보면 문상 참석(4.55점) > 혼인식 참석(4.30점) > 문병 참석(4.03점) > 생일/수연 참석(3.50점) > 개업식 참석(3.47점) > 승진/퇴임식 참석(3.42점)의 순으로 중요성이 높게 나타났다. 또한 향후 사회생활에서 경조사에 참석하게 될 대학생들에게 경조사에 참석해야 하는 이유를 질문한 결과 상부상조나 인간적인 도리로 인식하는 것에 비해 원만한 인간관계를 위한 측면으로 인식하는 비율이 높음을 알 수 있었다. 이는 현대의 폭넓은 인간관계에 따른 자기관리의 차원에서 경조사 참석의 중요성이 높아지는 현실을 반영하는 것이므로 이와 더불어 상부상조 및 인간적인 도리를 조화롭게 추구해나가는 경조사 참석의 본질에 대한 교육이 요구된다. 2. 경조사 참석여부를 결정하거나 경조사비를 지출할 때 가장 고려하게 될 요소를 질문한 결과 친소관계 정도가 결정의 기준이 된다는 견해가 높았다. 즉 사회적 친소관계의 깊이와 실리적 중요 정도에 따라 경조사 참석이나 경조사비 지출이 달라짐을 의미한다고 볼 때, 친소관계에만 얽매여 형식적인 참석으로 유발되는 부정적 경조사비 관행을 우리 대학생들이 그대로 답습하지 않고, 성의를 담아 자신의 형편과 경제적 여건에 맞게 경조사비를 지출할 수 있도록 하는 교육이 이루어져야 할 것이다. 3. 앞으로 사회생활에서 경조사에 참석 시 수행하게 되는 매너에 대한 대학생들의 인식정도를 살펴본 결과 5점 만점에 평균 3.86점으로 나타났다. 하위영역별로는 문상 참석매너(4.20점) > 혼인식 참석매너(4.06점) > 승진/퇴임식 참석매너(3.95점) > 개업식 참석매너(3.80점) > 생일/수연 참석매너(3.69점) > 문병 참석매너(3.44점)의 순으로 경조사매너 인식을 나타냈다. 이를 보면 문상 참석매너, 혼인식 참석매너, 승진/퇴임식 참석매너를 제외하고 대부분 중간 정도의 인식수준에 있으므로 사회생활에 관련된 경조사매너에 대한 인식을 각 영역별로 향상시키는 교육이 요구된다고 하겠다. 또한 경조사매너 인식은 집안 내 경조사에 대체로 참석하는 집단에서 그 수준이 높게 나타남을 볼 때 가정에서 집안 내 경조사에 대학생 자녀들의 참여를 자연스럽게 유도하는 것이 의미 있는 생활교육으로서의 기능을 갖게 될 것이다. 그러나 가정과 더불어 학교 역시 대학생들을 대상으로 경조사매너에 대한 교육을 체계적으로 시행해나가야 할 필요성을 제기하는 바다. 그동안 매너에 대한 교육은 주로 가정을 중심으로 이루어졌지만 사회구조와 가족생활의 변화로 가정 내에서 부모자녀간의 만남과 대화가 많이 감소되고 있는 실정이며, 이로 인해 가정에서의 경조사매너교육을 지금보다 더 많이 기대하기란 점차 어려워질 것이다. 따라서 대학생들의 경조사매너교육은 이제 학교교육을 중심으로 교양과목으로 활성화되어야 할 것이며 좀 더 많은 대학에서 경조사매너교육에 대한 실시가 확대되어야 할 것이다. 4. 대학에서의 경조사매너교육에 대한 학생들의 필요성 인식을 분석한 결과 5점 만점에 평균 3.23점으로 중간정도의 필요성 인식을 나타냈다. 하위영역별로는 문상 참석매너 교육(4.08점) > 문병 참석매너 교육(3.35점) > 혼인식 참석매너 교육(3.27점) > 승진/퇴임식 참석매너 교육(2.96점) > 생일/수연 참석매너 교육(2.91점) > 개업식 참석매너 교육(2.82점)의 순이었다. 이 가운데 문병의 경우 참석의 중요성 인식과 매너교육의 필요성 인식이 높은 반면 현재 대학생들이 갖고 있는 문병 참석매너의 인식 수준은 앞서 살펴본 바와 같이 6개 영역 중 가장 낮은 상황이므로 교육을 통해 매너인식의 향상을 이끌어야 할 것이다. 5. 대학에서의 경조사매너교육 방안에 대한 대학생들의 인식을 살펴본 결과 5점 만점에 평균 4.08점으로 비교적 높은 인식수준을 보였다. 하위영역별로 보면 ‘교육내용은 실제 상황에 적용 가능해야 한다’(4.42점) > ‘교육내용은 이해하기 쉬워야 한다’(4.23점) > ‘교육내용 관련 정보나 자료를 얻는 것이 용이해야 한다’(4.01점) > ‘교육은 이론과 실습이 병행되어야 한다’(3.96점) > ‘교육 관련매체가 활용되어야 한다’(3.92점) > ‘교육 내용 구성에는 학생들의 요구가 반영되어야 한다’(3.91점)의 순으로 높은 인식을 나타냈다. 이는 다가올 직장생활과 사회생활에서 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있는 실천적인 경조사매너를 대학에서의 교육을 통해 이해하기 쉽게 습득할 수 있도록 해야 함을 보여준다. 이에 관련 정보나 자료 그리고 교육매체(비디오, 인터넷 등) 등도 적절히 활용되어야 할 것이다. 6. 대학생들의 경조사매너교육 인식과 제 변인들의 관계를 알아보기 위해 Pearson의 상관관계 분석을 실시한 결과 모든 하위영역별로 정적인 상관을 나타내 사회생활에서의 경조사 참석에 대해 중요성을 높게 인식하는 대학생일수록 경조사매너를 수행해야 하는 것에 대한 인식이 높으며, 경조사매너 수행에 대한 중요성을 높게 인식함으로써 대학에서의 실질적인 경조사매너교육 방안에 대한 생각이나 교육의 필요성에 대한 인식도 높음을 파악할 수 있었다. 이 같은 상호 연관성에 의거해볼 때 대학에서는 경조사 참석의 의미에 대한 바른 이해를 도모하고 학생들이 건전한 경조사매너에 대한 정확한 지식을 습득하여 이를 실행에 옮길 수 있도록 하는 것을 목표로 교육내용을 구성하고 사회생활의 경조사에 실제 적용 가능한 이론과 실습이 병행된 교육의 방안을 모색해나가야 할 것이다. 결론적으로 대학에서는 학생들이 경조사의 근본정신을 일깨우면서 앞으로의 사회생활에서 도움이 될 수 있는 구체적이고 실천적인 경조사매너를 습득하게 하여 원만한 사회인으로서의 자질을 갖도록 해야 할 것이다. 이를 위해 학교는 가정과 상호 유기적인 관계를 맺고 우리 사회에 바르게 정립되어야 할 경조사문화와 경조사매너에 대한 교육을 통해 이를 생활화 할 수 있도록 교육의 기회와 경험의 장을 활성화해야 할 것이다.|This thesis aims at groping for the direction of manner education of an occasion for celebration or sorrow in university, so that university students may strive for the performance for the settlement of sound culture of an occasion for celebration or sorrow with right recognition for an occasion for celebration or sorrow in the future, by grasping the opinion for the importance of participation of an occasion for celebration or sorrow in social life and the degree of manner recognition of an occasion for celebration or sorrow and examining the contents and scheme of manner education of an occasion for celebration or sorrow that they need. For this, this researcher made out questionnaire and executed survey study by sampling students at 4 year system co-eds in Seoul randomly. Total 450 copies were used as final analysis data, and statistical handling to use SPSS 14.0 was enforced. To summarize main findings is as follows: 1. As for the result to have examined the recognition degree of importance of participation of an occasion for celebration or sorrow that university students have, they were recognizing that it is important at relatively high level with average 3.88 marks for full marks of 5 marks. To examine by subordinate domains, they were recognizing importance high in the order of participation in condolatory call(4.55 marks)>participation in marriage ceremony(4.30marks)>participation in visit to a sick person(4.03 marks)>participation in birthday/birthday feast for an old man(3.50 marks)>participation in ceremony to open a business(3.47 marks)>participation in promotion/retirement ceremony(3.42 marks). 2. As for the result to ask question about the reason that university students who will participate in an occasion for celebration or sorrow in future social life should participate in an occasion for celebration or sorrow, ration to recognize as dimension for harmonious human relation was high than thinking only as traditional mutual help or human reason. 3. As for the result to ask the element to consider most in deciding the participation in an occasion for celebration or sorrow or expending the expense for an occasion for celebration or sorrow, opinion that the degree of intimacy relation is the standard of decision was high. 4. As for the result to examine the recognition degree of university students for the manner that they get to perform in participating in an occasion for celebration or sorrow in future social life, average 3.86 marks showed for full marks of 5 marks. By subordinate domains, they showed the manner recognition of an occasion for celebration or sorrow in the order of participation manner of condolatory call(4.20 marks)> participation manner of marriage ceremony(4.06 marks)> participation manner of promotion/retirement ceremony(3.95 marks)> participation manner of ceremony to open a business(3.80 marks)> participation manner of birthday/birthday feast for an old man(3.69 marks)> participation manner of visit to a sick person. In addition, as for the manner recognition of an occasion for celebration or sorrow, the level showed high in the group to participate in an occasion for celebration or sorrow in kin on the whole. Therefore, it is thought important to lead the participation of children in an occasion for celebration or sorrow in kin naturally about the education of an occasion for celebration or sorrow. 5. As for the result to have analyzed the necessity recognition of students for the manner education of an occasion for celebration or sorrow at university, they showed the necessity recognition of middle degree with average 3.23 marks for the full marks of 5 marks. As for the recognition of university students for the scheme of manner education of an occasion for celebration or sorrow in university, they showed relatively high recognition level with average 4.08 marks for the full marks of 5 marks. To see by subordinate domains, they showed high recognition with 'Education contents should be applicable to real situation'(4.42)> 'Education contents should be easy to understand'(4.23)> 'It should be easy to obtain information or data related to education contents'(4.01)> 'Theory and practice should be performed at the same time in education'(3.96)> 'Media related to education should be utilized(3.92)> 'Demand of students should be reflected in the composition of education contents(3.91) in order. This shows that university enables students to learn the concrete and practical manner of an occasion for celebration or sorrow which may be substantial help in coming workplace life and social life. 7. As the result to have executed the correlation analysis of Pearson so as to examine the university students' recognition of manner education of an occasion for celebration or sorrow, static correlation showed by all the subordinate domains. So, university students to recognize the importance for the participation in an occasion for celebration or sorrow in social life high have the recognition for performing the manner of an occasion for celebration or sorrow high and they recognize the importance for the performance of manner of an occasion for celebration or sorrow. Thus, they had the thought for the substantial scheme of manner education of an occasion for celebration or sorrow and the recognition for the necessity of education high. In conclusion, university will have to enable students to have the quality as harmonious members of society, by making them learn the concrete and practical manner of an occasion for celebration or sorrow which may be help in future social life, awakening the basic spirit of an occasion for celebration or sorrow. For this, with mutually systematic relation through the education for the culture of an occasion for celebration or sorrow and the manner of an occasion for celebration or sorrow which will have to be established in our society, school will activate the opportunity of education and the field of experience, so that students may make this into life.
