남자 중학생의 교복 디자인에 관한 연구

Abstract

의복은 인간행동과 인간심리에 미치는 영향이 모든 연령층에 걸쳐서 중요하지만 특히, 일생 중 다른 어느 시기보다 자신의 외모와 의복에 많은 관심을 가지고 민감한 반응을 보이며 의복을 통해 심리상태를 나타내는 청소년기에 미치는 영향력은 매우 크다고 할 수 있다. 일반적으로 남학생보다 여학생이 의복에 대한 관심이 크지만, 최근 몇 년간 남성들의 의복과 패션에 대한 관심 증대현상이 사회적으로 부각되었고, 현대의 청소년들은 정보의 접촉도가 높아 새로운 정보에 민감하여, 남학생들도 유행을 빨리 받아들이고 새로운 감각의 패션을 추구하는 현상을 보여주고 있다. 청소년기의 대부분은 교복을 착용하기 때문에 학생들에게 교복은 의복으로서 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 과거의 획일적인 교복과 달리 최근에는 디자인이나 색상 면에서 다양해졌으나, 청소년들은 교복에 대해 만족하지 못하고 교복변형 행동을 통해 해소하며 유행과 트렌드를 추구하는 현상이 두드러지게 되었다. 따라서 교복에 대한 청소년들의 의견을 반영한 디자인에 대한 필요성이 커지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 교복에 대한 인식이 형성되는 시기인 중학생을 대상으로 교복 디자인과 관련하여 주요하게 다루어지지 않는 남자 중학생들의 교복만족도, 교복변형, 교복디자인 선호도에 대해 알아보고 디자인 선호도에 따른 교복디자인을 제시하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 이를 위하여 서울시와 경기도 부천시에 재학 중인 남자 중학생을 대상으로 설문지 응답방식으로 자료를 수집하여 총 333부를 최종분석에 사용하였다. 자료의 분석은 빈도분석, t검증과 일원분산분석(One-way ANOVA), 교차분석(χ² 검증)을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 얻은 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 남자 중학생은 전반적으로 교복의 만족도가 낮았으며 불만족의 이유로는 디자인이 마음에 들지 않기 때문인 것으로 나타났다. 교복디자인제작 시점이 15년 이상 오래 전에 디자인된 교복을 입은 학생들이 최근에 디자인된 교복을 입은 학생들에 비해 교복 만족도가 낮았고, 한달 평균 의복구입 비용이 5만원 이상으로 많거나 의복구입이 1~2개월에 한번 이상으로 빈도가 높아 의복과 패션에 관심이 많은 학생들도 교복 만족도가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 전체적인 교복의 소재에 대한 만족도는 낮은 편이었다. 둘째, 교복변형 경험이 있는 남자 중학생은 전체의 24.9%였는데 학년이 올라갈수록 교복을 변형한 학생들이 많았다. 교복변형 경험이 있는 학생들 중에서 최근에 디자인된 교복을 착용한 학생들과 한달 평균 의복구입 비용이 적거나 의복 구입빈도가 잦은 학생들이 교복변형을 하는 비율이 높게 나타났다. 교복의 아이템 중에서 바지를 가장 많이 변형하는 것으로 나타났으며, 교복을 변형하는 이유는 치수가 맞지 않거나 디자인이 마음에 들지 않기 때문이라고 하였다. 남자 중학생들은 교복을 변형한다면 바지통을 변형하는 것을 가장 선호하였고, 활동에 편하거나 유행이 가미된 디자인을 중요시하며, 교복의 개선점으로 디자인을 가장 높게 꼽았다. 셋째, 남자 중학생의 교복디자인 선호도를 아이템별로 살펴본 결과, 재킷은 테일러드 칼라에 투버튼의 싱글여밈과 허리선과 엉덩이선의 중간 정도 길이에 허리가 약간 들어간 스타일을 가장 선호하였다. 허리선의 길이와 허리에 꼭 맞는 스타일의 선호도가 비교적 높고 스키니 바지를 가장 선호하는 것으로 나타나 남자 중학생들은 슬림하고 스키니한 디자인을 선호한다는 것을 알 수 있다. 또한 버튼다운 칼라의 셔츠와 V 네크라인 니트 조끼를 가장 선호하였고, 타이는 없거나 넥타이를 선호하였다. 교복의 색상 선호도를 아이템별로 살펴보면, 전체적으로 셔츠를 제외한 각 아이템에서 검정색계열과 청색계열의 선호도가 높아 명도와 채도가 낮거나 남성적인 이미지를 보여주는 색상을 선호하는 것을 알 수 있었고, 셔츠는 흰색계열, 타이는 검정색계열과 청색, 적색계열 등의 다양한 색상을 선호하였다. 또한 교복의 상의와 하의를 유사색으로 배색하는 것을 선호하였다. 교복의 무늬 선호도를 살펴보면, 교복의 모든 아이템에서 무늬가 없는 것을 가장 선호하였고, 상의와 하의의 무늬가 같으며, 교복에 부분적으로 칼라와 주머니, 소매끝단 등에 배색하거나 바인딩하는 것을 선호하였다. 또한 교복의 소재는 통풍과 보온성이 좋은 소재를 가장 선호하였다. 이상의 연구 결과를 통하여 남자 중학생이 선호하는 디자인을 고려한 교복 디자인을 제시하였다. 남자 중학생들이 가장 선호하는 디자인 및 색상과 무늬를 대부분 수용하되 전체적인 조화를 고려하여 디자인을 설정하였으며, 이를 기초로 하여 교복 전문업체가 교복을 제작하거나 우리나라 중학교에서 남학생 교복을 채택할 때 참고할 수 있는 자료로써 청소년들의 의견을 반영한 교복의 실용화를 위한 노력도 이루어져야 할 것이다. 또한 다양한 욕구와 감각을 지닌 남학생의 선호도가 반영된 교복의 디자인 개발이 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것으로 본다.|Clothing the effect which goes mad to a human behavior and a human psychology extends in all age groups and it is important. But, Recently clothing and the plaque of the some year for males, the interest augmentation actual condition regarding is embossed socially, the young people of today contact boat song of information are sensitive to highly new information, also the school boys accept a popularity quickly and the plaque of the new sense, they show the actual condition which it pursues. Most of the young people flag in order to wear the school uniform the school uniform as clothing has meaning which is important in the students. If past with the uniform and uniform school uniform differently to recently design or hue, from it comes to be various, but the young people regarding the school uniform were not satisfactory not to be able and school uniform variation conduct it led and it was solved and popularity and the actual condition which pursues the status became prominently. Consequently the necessity regarding the design which reflects the opinion of the young people against the school uniform is becoming larger. With school uniform design about under relating importantly from the research which it supports the man junior high school student who is not the school uniform satisfaction, school uniform variation, against a school uniform design preference degree examined in the object and it presents the school uniform design which it follows in design preference degree the objective of the place where it put.
