국어과 ‘평화’ 주제 수업 사례 연구

Abstract

이 연구는 국어과에서 평화교육을 위한 수업 설계에 목적이 있다. 평화교육의 관점에서 2015 국어과 교육과정의 핵심역량 중 공동체 역량과 국어과 교육과정과 교과서에서 다루고 있는 갈등 관련 교육 내용을 검토하여 평화교육을 위한 이론적 논의의 출발점을 삼았다. 본 연구가 공동체 역량과 평화 교육에 주목한 이유는 우리나라 청소년들의 공동체 의식에 대한 부족과 관련이 깊다. ICCS(International Civic and Citizenship Education Study)의 국제 비교 조사(2010) 자료와 연구 결과를 보면, 우리나라 청소년들은 ‘더불어 사는 능력’이 최하위 수준으로, OECD 22개국 중 최하위인 21위라고 한다. 따라서 우리 사회에서는 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 청소년 교육에 더욱 많은 관심과 노력을 기울일 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 2015 개정 교육과정 국어 교과서에서 갈등을 다루고 있는 부분을 찾아서 공동체 역량의 함양을 위한 구현된 공동체의 양상을 살펴보고, 한 대안학교의 평화배움 프로젝트 수업 사례의 분석을 통해 공동체 역량의 함양을 위한 교육의 방안을 연구하는 데 의미가 있다. 이 연구를 통해 국어과 평화교육에 대한 목표를 적극적으로 세우고 그간 교과서에서 다루지 않았던 텍스트와 학습자의 경험을 중심으로 학년별 연계를 통해 평화 배움 프로젝트 수업을 개발했으며, 이를 통해 국어과에서 평화교육을 통한 공동체 역량의 함양을 지향하고자 했다. 본 연구자는 공동체 역량이 사회와 문화, 역사 등 다양한 체제 속에서 이루어지는 것을 인식하며, 공동체 역량의 함양을 위한 국어교육 연구의 기점이 되기를 기대한다. |The purpose of this study is to look at the factors for fostering community competency, to find the necessity of research for the content of community competency, and to find the direction and plan for Korean language education of community competency. The importance of fostering community capacity is emphasized not only in Korea but also globally. Reflecting this trend, this thesis examines the aspect of community embodied in the Korean textbook of the 2015 revised curriculum, and proposes an educational plan for fostering community competency through the case of a peace learning project class in an alternative school. To this end, the theoretical background of community capacity and peace education and the implementation aspects of the 2015 revised Korean language curriculum were reviewed, and the content of the Peace Learning Project class was critically analyzed. For this study, first of all, the meaning of community competency and how community is recognized and defined in the Korean language curriculum were confirmed. Based on this, we will review the community-related educational elements in the 2009, 2011, and 2015 Korean language curriculum and look at how the related competencies have changed. Then, through the connection between education for sustainable development and community education, the educational elements of education for sustainable development necessary for community education were examined. After examining how the community is defined in 11 types of literature textbooks and examining the implementation aspects of the community competency presented in the 2009 curriculum and the 2015 revised curriculum, we approached it critically. We seek new alternatives for community education and design specific contents of community education accordingly. It set the goal of peace education to cultivate a sense of community and suggested sanctions for texts that were not covered in textbooks. In addition, by suggesting that Korean language education for cultivating a sense of community should be developed through integration within the domain and between subjects, it was intended to pursue a broader understanding of community competency as a starting point in literature. Through this study, it is recognized that the educational element of 'community competency' is not a fixed concept discussed only in a limited area, but an educational element that takes place in various systems surrounding learners such as society, culture, and history, and recognizes the importance and value of education. It is hoped that it will become a starting point for research to cultivate more active community capacity.
