교육과정별 일차방정식과 일차함수의 그래프 사이의 관계

Abstract

중학교 수학에서 대수 해석학 분야의 대부분을 차지하고 있는 것이 방정식과 함수라고 해도 과언이 아니다. 중학교 1, 2학년에서 다루는 일차방정식의 풀이와 일차함수의 그래프 사이의 관계는 향후 보다 상급학년에서의 방정식과 함수의 그래프 사이의 관계를 이해하는 시금석이 될 것이므로, 올바른 개념의 정립이 매우 중요한 교육적 주제이다. 이 논문에서는 우리나라 교육과정의 변천에 따라 일차방정식과 일차함수의 그래프 사이의 관계를 어떻게 다루어왔는지를 조사하였다. 방정식과 함수는 광복 이후 우리나라 수학교육과정이 교수요목기부터 시작하여 제1차 ~제7차 개정에 이르기 까지 많은 변화를 거치면서 조금씩 계속 변화해 왔다. 교육과정마다 방정식과 함수의 그래프사이의 관계가 조금씩 달리 다루어 졌다는 것은 그만큼 이 주제가 다루기 어렵다는 것을 반증하는 것이기도 하다. 이런 방정식과 함수의 그래프사이의 관계의 교육과정별 변화과정을 수학교과서를 중심으로 분석하였고 앞으로의 교육과정에서 이 주제를 어떻게 다루어야 하는지 대안을 제시하고자 하였다. | It may be no exaggeration to say that the education of algebra and analysis in middle school mathematics is that of equations and functions. It will be a very important issue in the first and second grade of middle school to establish correct concept of the relationship between graph of linear equations and linear functions, because it may be a touchstone to understand the relationship between graph of equations and functions in higher level. In this paper, we investigate how we deal with the relationship between graph of linear equations and linear functions in our history of mathematics curricula. The concept of equations and functions have been changed slightly according to the changes of our curricula, from the period of syllabus after the liberation of Korea to the period of 1st ~ 7th curriculum. Those changes themselves also prove that this issue is very hard to handle. Our aim of this paper is to analyze the change of the concepts of equations and functions in each curriculum via texts and provide alternative methods to deal with such issues.
