고등학교 미술수업에 있어서 교과서의 기능 및 활용에 관한 연구

Abstract

미술은 느낌이나 생각을 시각적 조형언어를 통하여 창조 발전시켜 나아가는 예술의 한 영역이다. 또한 그 시대의 문화를 기록하고 반영하기에 우리는 미술 문화를 통해서 과거와 현재를 이해하고, 나아가 문화의 창조와 발전에 공헌할 수 있다. 고등학교 미술 교육은 다양한 미술활동을 통하여 미술의 기본적인 이론과 실기를 학습함과 동시에 표현 및 감상 능력을 기르고, 창의적인 사고 능력을 개발하며, 실생활에서 미술을 생활에 적용하고, 미술 문화 유산을 향유할 수 있는 능력을 함양하는데 그 목적이 있다. 학습 대상인 실제와 그에 대한 지식체계를 학습자에게 제시하는 교과서는 교육과정을 구현하기 위한 학습자료 중 가장 핵심이 되며, 교육 발전에 기여하는 매우 중요한 자료이다. 이것은 결국 교육 과정에서의 교육 목표가 교과서를 통하여 실제적인 모습을 갖추게 된다는 것을 의미한다. 본 논문은 이러한 기능을 갖고 있는 교과서가 실제 미술수업에서 얼마나 활용되며, 그 기능과 역할을 제대로 이행하고 있는지 알아보았고, 이를 분석하여 미술 교과서의 문제점을 찾아 새로운 방향을 모색하는데 의의를 두었다. 2장에서는 먼저 제7차 미술과 교육과정의 성격과 특성, 목표 및 내용에 대한 특징을 서술하였으며, 3장에서는 교과서의 개념 및 미술교과서의 기능과 역할을 서술하였다. 4장에서는 제7차 고등학교 미술교과서의 집필기준을 분석하였으며, 현재 사용되고 있는 8종 교과서의 구성체제와 내용을 분석하였다. 연구의 결과로 5장과 6장에서는 고등학교 미술수업에 있어서 교과서의 기능 및 활용에 관한 설문지를 분석하여 문제점과 그에 따른 개선방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 도출된 문제점을 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 고등학교 미술교과서는 학습 내용이나 활동에 대한 구체적인 설명, 동기유발을 유도하는 발문과 작품에 대한 설명이 부족하여 실제 학습에 활용되기 어려운 형식적인 내용만을 담고 있으며, 교과의 내용을 개념적으로만 제시하고 있을 뿐 학생들의 흥미나 관심, 요구 등은 충분히 반영되지 않고 있다. 또한 미술 교과서 내의 용어와 표현이 포괄적이고 추상적이며, 기초 이론에 대한 부분이 절대적으로 부족하여 충분한 이해를 돕는 안내서가 되기에 부족하다. 이에 따른 개선방안은 미적 체험, 표현, 감상 영역이 고르게 담겨진 내용을 학생 수준에 맞춰 학습활동을 구체적으로 제시하여야 하며, 가장 기초가 되고, 기본이 되는 이론을 정선하여 이를 학습자 주도적인 학습으로 유도할 수 있어야 한다. 또한 본문의 내용이 문제해결에 필요한 정보와 각종자료 등을 다양하게 제시함으로써 학습자의 학습활동을 돕는 교과서가 되어야 한다. 결론적으로 교과서는 수업에 실질적으로 도움이 되는 자료로써 개발되어야 하며, 교사들이 쉽게 수업에 활용할 수 있도록 많은 자료와 활용방안이 모색되어야 한다. 아울러 학습자와 과정을 고려하여 보다 창의적이며 융통성 있는 교육과정이 될 수 있도록 하는데 교과서가 그 역할을 충분히 해야 할 것이다.|Art is means of creating and developing of emotion or thoughts through visual formative language. Since art records and reflexes culture of its period, it not only help us to understand the past and present, but also contributes to creation and improvement of culture to come. Through various art activities, art education teaches basic art theory and practice, increases expressive and appreciation ability, and develops creative thinking process. Art education's purpose is to apply art to real life and to cultivate ability to enjoy artistic cultural heritage. Art textbook which presents educational goal and systematic knowledge to a learner, is the most important learning material which enhances educational development.. Thus it implies that the educational goal becomes materialize by the textbook during educational process. This thesis focuses on the problem and improvement area of current textbook used in high school by researching and analyzing utilization and functional performance of the textbook. Chapter 2 contains characteristic, trait, goal, and distinctive features of "7th National Curriculum of Art ". Chapter 3 describes concept, function, and role of art textbook. Chapter 4 is about writing guideline of "7th High School Art Textbook" and result of analyzing architecture of 8 different type of current textbooks. Chapter 5 and 6, as a conclusion of the research, presents the analysis of questionnaire about functionality and application of art textbook in high school classroom. And, the problem of current textbook and improvement suggestions are also included. The problems that has revealed through the research is as follow. The current art textbook only contains general contents and lacks specific description of contents, activity, art piece, and epilogue that induce motivation. It only presents conceptual content by chapters, and does not reflex the learner's interests and requests. Also, the terms and expression used in the textbook is inclusive and abstract. The lack of basic theory makes inappropriate to facilitate the learner's understanding of art. Therefore, art textbook should include balanced contents related to aesthetic experience, expression, and impression that targets appropriate level of learner. To become more learner oriented educational material, art textbook should carefully select the basic theory and information, and materials for problem solving. In conclusion, the art textbook should become more practical lesson material by developing of various related material and practical usage plan. Furthermore, art textbook should play the role in more creative and flexible learning process by considering learner and the learning process.
