고등학교 뮤지컬 감상 지도 방안 연구

Abstract

음악교육에서 감상수업은 학생들이 음악에 대한 폭 넓은 이해를 할 수 있도록 해주며 음악에 대한 관심과 흥미를 갖게 한다는 점에서 중요하다. 특히 뮤지컬은 춤, 노래, 연기, 미술, 분장 등의 다양한 요소로 결합된 종합예술로써 클래식과 대중음악의 요소를 함께 가지고 있어 학생들에게 즐거운 감상수업을 제공할 수 있는 장르이다. 이러한 뮤지컬 감상수업을 의미 있게 하기 위해서는 듣는 수업에서 벗어나 학생들의 적극적인 참여를 유도할 수 있는 수업이 모색되어야 한다. 따라서 이 연구의 목적은 학생들이 다양하고 적극적으로 활동에 참여할 수 있는 뮤지컬 감상수업을 제시함으로써 학생들의 뮤지컬에 대한 흥미와 지속적인 관심을 유발하고 풍부한 음악적 경험을 할 수 있도록 하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 고등학교 음악교과서 10종에서 가장 빈도수가 높은 뮤지컬 「캣츠」와 「웨스트 사이드 스토리」를 선정하여 ICT를 활용한 학습자 중심의 뮤지컬 감상수업지도안을 구안하였다. 수업지도안의 구안을 위해 학습자 중심의 수업유형인 발견학습, 문제 중심의 학습과 탐구수업, 토의법, 협동학습, 개별화 수업을 활용하였으며, ICT를 함께 적용하여 뮤지컬「캣츠」와「웨스트 사이드 스토리」를 각 4차시의 수업지도안으로 제작하였다. 뮤지컬 감상수업지도안의 구안을 통한 교육적 가치를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기존의 듣는 수업에서 벗어나 학생들이 직접 참여하는 학습자 중심의 다양한 활동을 통해 학생들의 적극적인 참여를 유도하여 주체적이고 창의적인 수업을 만들어갈 수 있을 것이다. 학습자 중심의 수업을 통하여 학생들은 호기심, 사회성, 협동심과 음악을 긍정적으로 바라보는 태도를 기를 수 있다. 둘째, ICT를 뮤지컬 감상 수업에 적용하여 기존의 칠판중심의 수업에서 벗어나 시각적으로 효과가 높은 수업을 만들 수 있다. 이러한 수업은 학생들의 관심과 흥미를 높일 수 있으며 수업에 대한 집중력도 높이는데 도움이 될 수 있다. 셋째, 감상 활동 이외에 다른 활동의 학습이 통합적으로 이루어질 수 있으며, 미술과 문학과 관련된 활동을 통해 학생들이 음악과 다른 예술과의 관계를 이해하는데 도움이 될 수 있다. 효과적인 뮤지컬 감상수업을 위해서는 학습자가 수업의 주체가 될 수 있는 다양한 활동중심의 수업지도방안이 계속적으로 연구되어야 할 것이다.|In the field of music education, listening instruction is important in that it enables students to have a wide variety of understanding and interest in music. A composite art which is comprised of classical and popular features, a musical is particularly a good genre for students to take pleasure in learning. To make such musical-listening instruction effectively, we need to find the way to induce the students to participate in the learning with positiveness, not the students simply listen. The purpose of this study, accordingly, is to present a listening instruction program, in which students can take part with full activity, so that the students can have rich experiences and also sustain their interests in the genre of musical. On this account, the author selected two of the most frequently contained musicals in ten kinds of the high school music textbooks, the Cats and the West Side Story, and worked out the learner-centered program of the musical-listening instruction with ICT. In order to design the program, the author employed the discovery learning (a learner-centered method), problem-based learning, investigative instruction, discussion method, cooperative learning, and the differentiated instruction. The program for four sessions was made of the musicals the Cats and the West Side Story with applying ICT. The educational values of the musical-listening instruction program are as follows: First, the program of musical-listening instruction will enable to improve a creative, active music instruction, unlike current listening instruction, through various activities based on the participation of the students. By the instruction based on the students’ participation, they can develop the curiosity, sociality, ability to cooperate, and a positive view on music. Second, compared with the traditional on-board instruction, applying ICT on the musical-listening instruction will allow improving the visuality of the class. Such classes can improve the students’ concerns and interests in music as well as concentrate on the classes. Last, not only the listening activity but also other activities cooperatively can the class have. By the activities associated with arts and letters, the students can understand the relationship between music and other kinds of arts. To achieve musical-listening instruction more effectively, various activity-focused programs in which the learners can take the lead should be continuously studied.
