경제활동을 중심으로 한 사회극놀이가 유아의 수학개념 발달에 미치는 영향

영문초록: p. 93-95|본 연구는 경제활동을 중심으로 한 사회극놀이가 유아의 수학개념 발달에 미치는 영향을 알아보고 이를 통하여 유아교육 현장 교사들의 수학 교수-학습방법에 도움을 주고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이와 같은 목적에 따라 설정된 연구 문?┫? 다음과 같다. 1. 경제활동을 중심으로 한 사회극놀이가 유아의 수학개념에 어떠한 영향 을 미치는가? 1-1. 경제활동을 중심으로 한 사회극놀이가 분류개념에 어떠한 영향 을 미치는가? 1-2. 경제활동을 중심으로 한 사회극놀이가 서열개념에 어떠한 영향 을 미치는가? 1-3. 경제활동을 중심으로 한 사회극놀이가 측정개념에 어떠한 영향 을 미치는가? 1-4. 경제활동을 중심으로 한 사회극놀이가 패턴개념에 어떠한 영향 을 미치는가? 1-5. 경제활동을 중심으로 한 사회극놀이가 수 개념에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? 1-6. 경제활동을 중심으로 한 사회극놀이가 공간개념에 어떠한 영향 을 미치는가? 1-7. 경제활동을 중심으로 한 사회극놀이가 시간개념에 어떠한 영향 을 미치는가? 2. 경제활동을 중심으로 한 사회극놀이 상황에서 관찰된 수학과 관련된 활동내용은 무엇인가? 본 연구는 경기도 용인시에 위치한 H유치원에 재원중인 만5세 유아30명을 실험집단으로, 서울시 강남구에 위치한 I유치원에 재원중인 만 5세 유아 30명을 비교집단으로 선정하였다. 실험처치는 실험집단 30명의 유아를 네 개의 소집단으로 나누어, 2004년 6월 7일부터 7월 16일까지 6주 동안 매주 2회씩 총 12회?? 걸쳐 이루어졌다. 실험집단은 경제활동을 중심으로 한 사회극놀이를, 비교집단은 생활주제에 따른 극놀이를 실시하였다. 수학개념 검사도구는 Fischer(1988)가 제작한 수학개념 검사 도구를 조은영(1993)이 번안하고 적용한 도구를 사용하였다. 본 연구에서 수집된 자료는 SAS 8.2 프로그램을 사용하여 사전검사 점수를 공변인으로 한 공분산분석(ANCOVA)을 실시하였고, 경제활동을 중심으로 한 사회극놀이 상황에서 관찰된 수학과 관련된 활동내용을 알아보기 위해서 유아의 상호작용 사례를 중심으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 경제활동을 중심으로 한 사회극놀이는 유아의 수학개념을 향상시켰다. 경제활동을 중심으로 한 사회극놀이가 수학개념의 하위요인인 분류, 서열, 측정, 패턴, 수개념, 공간, 시간개념 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 경제활동을 중심으로 한 사회극놀이 상황에서 관찰된 수학과 관련된 활동내용은 수/연산과 측정에 대한 내용이 많이 나타났다. 이는 선정된 6가지 사회극놀이가 공통적으로 경제활동을 유발하는 주제로 구성되었고, 화폐의 거래를 통한 연산활동이 많이 이루어진 것과 관련이 있는 것 같다. 또한 경제활동을 중심으로 한 사회극놀이에 표준화된 측정도구가 놀이 주제에 따라 다양하게 제공되었기 때문에 유아들의 측정도구에 대한 관심과 사용에 영향을 미친 것 같다.|The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of sociodramatic plays on the development of children's concept of mathematics, and to utilize the outcome of this research in helping teachers to develop better teaching methods. The following research questions were established for the investigation: 1. What effect does the sociodramatic play with an economic theme have on the children's concept of mathematics? 1-1 What effect does the sociodramatic play with an economic theme have on the children's concept of classification? 1-2 What effect does the sociodramatic play with an economic theme have on the children's concept of order? 1-3 What effect does the sociodramatic play with an economic theme have on the children's concept of measurement? 1-4 What effect does the sociodramatic play with an economic theme have on the children's concept of pattern? 1-5 What effect does the sociodramatic play with an economic theme have on the children's concept of numbers? 1-6 What effect does the sociodramatic play with an economic theme have on the children's concept of space? 1-7 What effect does the sociodramatic play with an economic theme have on the children's concept of time? 2. What types of mathematically related activities are observed during the sociodramatic play? The data collected were analyzed by using the SAS 8.2 program to perform ANCOVA with the prior test results as a covariant. Children's interactions were mainly analyzed to determine the kinds of mathematically related activities practiced within the economically-centered sociodramatic plays. The results of the present research are as follows: First, the children's concept of mathematics improved through participating in sociodramatic plays with themes on economic activity. The plays also positively influenced numerous factors under the mathematical concept: the concepts of classification, order, measurement, pattern, numbers, space, and time.
