S. Prokofiev Piano Sonata No.2, Op.14에 관한 연구

Abstract

20세기 최고의 선율 작곡가로 인정받는 프로코피에프는 작곡가로서 뿐만 아니라 지휘자, 피아니스트로서 그의 음악 전 분야에 걸쳐 고전적인 면과 현대적인 면을 절묘하게 융합하여 예술과 현실을 일치하고자 노력했던 작곡가이다. 콘서트 피아니스트로 다양한 스타일의 피아노 작품을 작곡한 프로코피에프는 생애 전반에 걸쳐 9개의 Piano Sonata를 작곡하였다. 이 곡들은 그의 음악적 특징인 고전적, 혁신적, 동력적, 서정적, 해학적 요소들을 조화와 균형의 고전주의적 원리에 20세기적인 그만의 고유한 음악적 어법과 독창성을 ?芽酉? 새롭게 해석하여 잘 나타내고 있다. 본 논문은 크게 두 부분으로 나누어진다. 전반부에서는 프로코피에프의 작품을 시기별로 나누어서 각 시기별 음악적 특징과 대표적 악곡을 살펴보고 이를 바탕으로 9개의 Piano Sonata에 공통적으로 나타나는 음악적 요소 5가지를 개괄하였다. 후반부에서는 초기 소나타인 No. 2, Op. 14의 형식, 선율, 화성, 리듬에 대해 연구하였다. Piano Sonata No. 2, Op. 14는 한 악장으로 된 소나티네에 스케르쪼 및 2개의 악장이 첨가되어 확대된 4악장의 곡으로 제1악장과 제4악장은 고전 소나타 형식을, 제2악장은 복합 3부 형식을, 제3악장은 느린 겹2도막 형식으로 고전 소나타 형식을 갖추고 있다. 형식미와 서정적 선율선을 강조함으로 고전주의 정신을 계승하고 있는 이 작품은 불협화음과 대담하고 갑작스런 전조를 통해 프로코피에프의 과감하고 실험적인 음악성 역시 잘 보여주고 있다. 또한 당김음에 의한 강박의 변화, 연타 등 여러 유형의 ostinato 등이 자주 사용함으로 해학적인 요소를 잘 표현할 뿐 아니라 리듬의 역동성을 강화시킴으로 피아노의 타악기적인 기능을 부각시키고 있다. 이상과 같이 Piano Sonata No. 2, Op, 14는 작곡가의 창조적 ?낵봉? 돋보이는 걸작으로 18-19세기 피아노 음악의 전통을 유지함과 동시에 20세기 피아노 스타일을 창조하는데 공헌했음을 확인할 수 있었다.|Sergey Prokofiev (1891-1953), who is recognized as the most prominent melodist in the twentieth century, attempted to integrate art and reality of his era and to balance the classical and the modern music throughout his music. Being not only a composer but also a conductor and a pianist, he composed a variety of piano pieces. Especially, his nine piano sonatas are known as not only the essence of his musical expression and characteristics, that is, classical, innovative, toccata, lyric, and grotesque elements. The main subject of this thesis is Piano Sonata No. 2, Op .14, an early piece out of Prokofiev's nine sonatas in this thesis. Firstly, I deal with the historical background of his life and his works and the most significant features of his music based upon the overall review of his nine piano sonatas. Next I focus on Piano Sonata No. 2, Op. 14 and analyze the form, melody, harmony, and rhythm of this piece. Piano Sonata No. 2, Op. 14 consists of four movements, comprising one movement of sonatine with additional one scherzo and two other movements. The first and the fourth movement are traditional sonata form, the second movement is a complex ternary form, and the third, slow twofold binary form used in the second movement in traditional sonata form. Overall tendency of the piece is as follows: it puts emphasis on mild classical element and melody-oriented lyric element while exposing internal maturity; It frequently uses harsh dissonance and unpredictable transposition out of innovativeness and radicalism of modern trend; for grotesqueness, it chooses frequent use of various kinds of ostinato such as variation of by syncopation and tremolo; and it highlighted percussional trait with dynamic rhythm. As described above, Piano Sonata No. 2, Op. 14 is a masterpiece that demonstrates Prokofiev's outstanding creativity and imagination. It is considered to have contributed to create a style in piano music of the twentieth century while preserving the eighteenth and nineteenth century musical tradition.
