R.schumann의『12 Gedicht von J. Kerner op.35』에 관한 반주 분석

Abstract

슈만(Robert Schumann, 1810-1856)은 독일 가곡(Lied)에 있어서 슈베르트 이후에 가곡 세계를 발전시킨 낭만주의를 대표하는 작곡가로 전 생애동안 250여곡의 가곡을 썼다. 그 중 140여개의 예술 가곡은 ‘노래의 해’ 라고 알려진 1840년에 작곡되었으며 대표적인 곡으로 <Liederkries op. 24>, <Myrten op.25>, <Frauenliebe und Leben op. 42>, <Dichterliebe op. 48> 등이 있다. <케르너의 시에 붙인 12가곡(12 Gedicht von J. Kerner op. 35)>도 같은 해에 작곡된 연가곡으로 시의 주요 모티브는 고통과 암울한 자연의 형상화와 민요풍의 특징을 갖고 있으며 이곡은 모두 12곡으로 구성되어 있다. 각 곡을 주제별로 나누어 볼 때 자연 <NO. 1, 4, 5, 9, 11, 12>, 사랑 <NO. 2, 8>, 우정 <NO. 6>, 방랑 <NO. 3, 7>, 눈물 <NO. 10> 등을 소재로 이루어진 작품이다. 본 논문은 슈만 가곡의 특징인 시의 정신을 그대로 음의 세계에 묘사할 만큼 시를 중요시 여긴 것과 피아노가 단순히 반주 역할만 하는 것이 아니라 노래와 같은 음악적 비중을 차지한 것을 토대로 <케르너의 시에 붙인 12가곡(12 Gedicht von J. Kerner op. 35)>을 시의 번역과 음악 분석 및 시와 반주와의 상호 관계성을 깊이 있게 조명하고 피아노반주가 얼마만큼 주도적으로 시의 내용과 음악을 이끌어 가는 지를 연구하고자 한다.|Robert Schumann(1810-1856), an influential Romanic composer, is noted for prospering German lied after Schubert by composing 250 classical music compositions. In 1840, known as the ‘Liederjahr of 1840’ Schumann wrote over 140 compositions such as <Liederkries op. 24>, <Myrten op.25>, <Frauenliebe und Leben op. 42>, <Dichterliebe op. 48> and more. During this same year, Schumann composed <12 Gedicht von J. Kerner op.35>. This kreislieder, which is combined of 12 songs, portrays its main motive in the pain and melancholy of nature through folk style. This piece can be divided into themes such as: Nature <NO.1, 4, 5, 9, 11, 12>, Love <NO.2, 8,>, Friendship<NO. 6>, Wander <NO. 3, 7,>, and Tears <NO. 10>. This thesis will acknowledge Schumann’s musical characteristics in which he emphasizes the meaning of the poems into the music world. Furthermore, Schumann’s piano roles are vital, in not only accompaniment but in the meaning of the song itself. Through these distinctive traits, this paper will look at <12 Gedicht von J. Kerner op.35> by analyzing the translation of the poem, musical analysis, reciprocal relation of the poem and accompaniment, and last but not least describe how the piano accompaniment initiatively leads the meaning of the poem and music.
