Abstract

베토벤(Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770~1827)은 자신의 소나타 작품에서 변주곡 형식을 소나타 형식 다음으로 많이 사용하였다. 또한 독주용 변주곡을 비롯하여 소나타, 실내악, 교향곡 등 각 분야에 걸쳐 변주 악장을 작곡한 것으로 보아 변주곡 형식이 그의 작곡 기법에 있어 매우 중요한 비중을 차지하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 베토벤은 이전의 단순했던 장식 변주곡에서 벗어나 주제의 화성이나 조성 또는 구조까지 자유롭게 변화시키는 기법을 사용하는데 이는 19세기 낭만 시대의 변주곡의 효시가 된다. 본 논문은 베토벤 Sonata for Violin and Piano in F Major, Op.47의 2악장, 변주악장에 대해 연구한 것이다. 변주곡 형식의 초기 형태를 살펴보고, 변주곡 형식이 시대적 흐름에 따라 어떤 유형으로 변해 가는지에 대해 살펴본다. 그리고 본 작품의 변주 기법을 분석하고, 그에 따른 베토벤의 피아노 변주곡집과 피아노 소나타 악장에서 유사한 변주 유형을 제시함으로써, 베토벤의 변주곡 형식에 대해 심도 있게 고찰해 보도록 한다.|Ludwig van Beethoven(1770~1827) used the variation form followed by sonata form mostly in his sonatas. Variation movements had been seen in a variation for a recital, sonata, chamber music, symphony, and other many areas of Beethoven's works. A variation form in the type of his compositional technique was very important. Beethoven found his way out of previous simple decorative variation and developed the changing technique of variation with harmony, tonality, and structure. He was the first one to lead the varaitions of the 19th century romantic era. This paper is studied on the second movement, a variation movement, of Beethoven "Sonata for Violin and Piano in F Major, Op.47". This study will take a close look at the type of early variation form and find out how the variation has been changed with time. And the variation techniques introduced in this work is analyzed. Furthermore, the study proposed a similar variation pattern either in Beethoven's piano variations or in the movement of piano sonata in order to approach even closer to Beethoven's variation forms.
