J. Brahms Violin Sonata No.2 Op.100에 관한 연구

Abstract

브람스(Johannes Brahms, 1833-1897)는 수많은 낭만주의 시대의 작곡가들 중에서 낭만적 감성을 고전주의의 형식적인 틀 안에서 훌륭히 음악화한 작곡가이다. 그는 바흐의 음악으로부터 고전적인 형식미를 계승하였으며, 브람스의 작품 속에는 사랑스럽고 친근감이 느껴지는 가락과 웅대한 악상, 풍부한 화음의 사용 등 낭만적 정서가 풍부하게 깃들어 있지만, 대부분의 그의 대표적 기악곡들이 고전적인 형식의 뼈대 위에 작곡 되었다는 점에서 ‘신고전 악파’로 불리운다. 본 논문에서는 브람스 바이올린 소나타 2번 op.100의 악장별 형식 분석과 더불어 비토(Gioconda de Vito, 1907-1994), 펄만(Itzhak Perlman, b.1945), 정경화(b.1948), 발린(Ulf Wallin, b.1963)의 브람스 바이올린 소나타 2번, Op. 100의 연주를 연주시간, 아티큘레이션, 활쓰기, 주법, 비브라토 등으로 비교해 봄으로써 연주자로서 브람스가 의도하는 음악적 요구에 부합하는 훌륭한 연주법에 대한 해석 과정을 비교, 연구했다. 비토의 연주는 넓은 비브라토를 써서 깊이 있는 소리로 표현하면서 여유롭고 서정적으로 연주하고 있으며, 분위기를 바꿀 때 강렬하게 연주하는 모습도 보이고 있고, 활을 쓰는 속도 또한 느리게 하는 부분과 빠르게 하는 부분의 차이를 많이 두어 표현하고 있으며, 길고 끈기 있게 연주하고 있다. 펄만은 피아노와 조화를 이루며 튀지 않는 소리로 부드럽게 연주하고 있으며, 다른 연주자들에 비해 빠른 속도로 연주함으로 인해서 아티큘레이션을 많이 사용하지 않고 있고 강하게 활을 내려치는 주법의 사용 부분에서 약간 끊어지는 듯한 강한 느낌으로 연주하고 있다. 정경화는 다이나믹의 폭을 크게 하며 또렷한 소리로 표현하며, 페르마타를 길게 표현하면서 넓은 비브라토를 사용하여 멋진 마무리를 특징으로 하고 있다. 발린은 여유를 가지고 템포의 변화를 조심스럽게 처리하여 곡을 연주하며 연주 시간 또한 가장 길고, 부드러운 소리로 곡을 표현하고 있으며, 전체적으로 강렬한 느낌은 적지만, 편안하게 연주하는 듯한 모습을 보이고 있다.|Brahms Violin Sonata No.2, Op.100 shows classic Sonata form with lyrical rhythm and melodious characteristic. This Sonata is composed of three movements. The first movement is in the classic Sonata form, the second movement is ternary form with two repeated theme, and third movement is Rondo form of ABA'CB'A". This structure of classic sonata is developed with repeated theme of the melody that has lovely and friendly tone, theme in magnificence, and abundant chord of the Romantic characteristic, to sequence progression, extension, and transposition skill. It gives an equal role to violin and piano, so two different sounds make harmony. Hereby Brahms has established the Neoclassicism by using the Romantic compositional technique based on classical style. Brahms Violin Sonata No.2 fully reflects unique musical world of J. Brahms and it opens the new genre of duet sonata by combining the classical tradition and formal beauty with romantic melody and consonance, and liberal rhythm. This thesis researches performance of four musicians Gioconda de Vito, Itzhak Perlman, Kyung Wha Jung, and Ulf Wallin. Though they play a same music composed by Brahms, each musician shows their unique characteristic and performs the different quality of a tone based on the different understanding of the music. Gioconda de Vito uses wide vibrato and expresses sound in depth, the performance of Itzak Perlman is hamonious and gentle, the performance of Kyung Wha Jung has wide range of dynamis with vivid sound, and Ulf Wallin carefully plays the change of tempo. If one, who is based on the essential understanding of his musical world, plays the music of J. Brahms, he can perform the music in another special quality according to his individuality as the four musicians did. At last, the history of violin in appendix that examines how violin came into the world and manufacture process is intended to help the violin majoring students to know common knowledge of violin.
