F. Schubert 가곡에 연결되는 바로크 음악 양식 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 바로크 음악 양식이 나타나는 프란츠 페터 슈베르트(Franz Peter Schubert, 1797-1828)의 가곡에 관한 연구이다. 고전주의와 낭만주의를 연결한 작곡가라고 할 수 있는 슈베르트는 특히 가곡이라는 장르의 가능성을 철저히 탐구하고 가곡을 중요한 음악 장르로 격상시켰다. 그는 가곡에서 가사의 내용을 화성과 반주를 통해 부각시킬 뿐만 아니라 전주를 통해 곡의 분위기를 강화시키고 장단조의 화음과 반음계, 조성변화를 적절히 조화시킴으로써 효과적으로 표현했다고 할 수 있는데 이러한 방법은 조성이 확립되고 가사를 효과적으로 전달하는데 초점을 두었던 바로크 시대의 음악 양식에 그 바탕이 있다고 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 연가곡 『아름다운 물방앗간의 아가씨』(Die Schone Mullerin),『겨울나그네』(Winterreise)를 포함한 약 90여곡의 슈베르트 가곡에서 바로크적 음악 양식을 찾아보았다. 서론에서, 연구하게 된 동기와 연구할 내용을 개괄적으로 설명하고 본론에서는 바로크 시대의 사회 상황과 음악, 이념, 성악 음악 양식, 슈베르트 가곡의 특징에 대해 알아본다. 그 다음, 알아본 내용을 토대로 슈베르트 가곡에서 바로크 음악 양식의 효과를 찾아본다. 그리하여 바로크 음악 양식이 바로크와 고전 시대를 지나 낭만주의 음악에도 나타남을 알아보고자 한다. 감정 표현, 가사 표현을 중시했던 바로크의 음악 양식과 그 효과를 시와 음악을 일치시키려 했던 슈베르트의 가곡에서 찾아보는 것이 본 논문의 핵심이다.|This thesis is a study on the songs of Franz Peter Schubert(1797-1828) which depict Baroque music style. Schubert, who connected both ends of classicism and romantism was a composer who scrutinized the possibility of genre of songs, and has elevated songs as one of the important music genres. He has not only emphasized the lyrics through consonance and accompaniment, but also strengthened the atmosphere of the song by overture. Also, by adequately harmonizing the consonance of major and minor keys, with chromatic scale and tune composition changes, he has effectively expressed the tone of song. This method laid grounds for Baroque music style which established tune composition and focused on effectively communicating the lyrics. This thesis has researched Baroque music style among approximately 90 Schubert's songs, including his famous song cycles such as 『Die Schone Mullerin』and 『Winterreise』. In the introduction part, study motivations and contents will be briefly dealt, and in the main part, the author focusd on analyzing the social circumstances, music, ideology, vocal music styles of Baroque age, and features of Schubert's songs. Then, based on the analyzed data, this study reviews the effect of Baroque music style in Schubert's songs. Thus, the author reaches further into scrutinizing whether the Baroque music style has put impact on classic era to romantism musics. The core of this thesis is to find the Baroque music style and its effects which emphasized the expression of sentiments and lyrics, along with uniting those elements with poems and music in Schubert's songs.
