Carl Maria von Weber의 Konzertstuck f minor op.79의 분석 및 표제음악에 끼친 영향에 대한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 19세기 낭만주의 시대 음악에 큰 영향을 끼친 독일 작곡가중 한 사람인 베버의 작품 Konzertstück f minor op. 79 의 분석 및 표제음악에 끼친 영향에 관한 연구이다. 베버는 음악여행을 통하여 프랑스, 이탈리아의 오페라 양식을 터득하였으며, 독일의 낭만적인 자연과 민속예술에 깊이 영향을 받아 오페라 마탄의 사수(Der Freischütz 1821) 를 작곡하였다. 이 작품은 낭만주의 시대를 연 첫 오페라 작품으로 미술의 색채주의적 기법에 영향을 받아 음악에서도 악기별 음색적 특징을 살리는 기법을 도입하여 색채적인 음향을 시도하였다. 베버는 음악의 색채감을 살리고, 두터운 짜임새를 구사하기 위해서 기악과 성악곡에 피아노 대신 오케스트라로 반주를 붙였고, 민요나 서사적인 내용을 협주곡, 피아노 독주곡, 오페라의 표제로 사용하였으며 자연의 정경을 묘사한 내용이나 인간의 감성에 호소하는 작품, 독일의 국민적 정서를 표현한 가곡을 많이 작곡하였다. 본 논문에서 연구한 Konzertstück f minor op. 79 는 베버의 피아노 협주곡으로 곡의 도입부에 사랑하는 님을 기다리다가 마침내 만났을 때 느끼는 기쁨과 환희의 이야기를 배경으로 멜로디를 진행시키고 음색을 표현하였다. 이러한 내용의 삽입은 그 전 시대의 협주곡에서는 볼 수 없었던 형식으로 낭만주의 시대 기악작품의 표제음악을 싹트게 한 작품이다. 이 작품에서는 독주악기의 테크닉에 의한 화려한 음향과 악상대비를 통해 극적인 효과와 오케스트라의 다양한 색채미가 드러난다. 이 논문에서는 베버의 Konzertstück f minor op. 79 의 분석을 통하여 피아노와 오케스트라의 특징들을 살펴보고, 어떻게 낭만주의 시대 표제음악에 영향을 끼쳤는지를 연구하였다.|This study is an analysis of the Konzertstück f minor op. 79 of Weber, who had a great influence on the music of German Romanticism in the 19th century, and of its influence on program music. Weber acquired the opera styles from France and Italy through his music tours, and composed an opera Der Freischütz deeply influenced by romantic nature and folklore arts in Germany. The work, the first opera that opened the Age of Romanticism, attempted to create colorful sounds by introducing the technique which makes the most of each instrument's tone and characteristics under the influence of the chromatic technique from the fine arts. Weber added orchestral accompaniment to instrumental and vocal works instead of piano ones in order to make the best of color sensation, and create a sophisticated musical fabric, used folk songs or epic contents for the titles of concertos, piano solos and operas, and composed lots of lieder which describe landscapes, appeal to human sensibility, or express German national emotion. Containing the above characteristics too, the Konzertstück f minor op. 79 expressed melodies and tones set in the story of joy one felt when meeting a yearned-for lover at last at the work's introduction. Also, this work shows dramatic effect and the beauty of various colors through the contrast of gorgeous sound and theme by the techniques of a solo instrument. It finds its meaning and value in that it is a father of programmatic instrumental concertos, which is shown by the fact hat instrumental concertos gave birth to new forms, as they introduced such programmatic contents during the 19th century. Weber laid a cornerstone of Romanticism in his techniques, forms, etc., and composed works of program music by adding titles, or applying programmatic contents to works in his early career. Like this, Weber made program music popular from the outset, a representative music style made popular in the Age of Romanticism, in his musical grammar at the beginning of the 19th century, and played a pioneer's role by composing works in the above style. After then, many composers developed and completed such styles and forms, thus making program music take root as mainstream form of music during the 19th century.
