- [유클리드 정역이면 주아이디얼 정역이다] 라는 명제는 성립한다. 하지만, 그 역은 성립하지 않는다. 즉, 주아이디얼 정역이면서 유클리드 정역이라 할 수 없는 예는 얼마든지 존재할 수 있다.
이 논문에서는 주아이디얼 정역이지만, 유클리드 정역이 될 수 없는 하나의 예를, D = {a+b(1+√-13)/2 │ a, b는 정수} 이것을 이용하여 몇 개의 정의와 정리를 사용해서 증명하였다.
