Alban Berg의《7개의 초기가곡》에 관한 연구 분석

Abstract

본 논문은 베르크가 1905년에서 1908년 사이에 작곡한 《7개의 초기가곡 Sieben Frühe Lieder》에 관한 연구이다. 어려서부터 문학에 조예가 있던 베르크는 그의 문학에 대한 깊은 이해를 바탕으로 하여 7명의 각각 다른 시인들이 자연과 사랑을 주제로 하여 쓴 「밤 Nacht」, 「갈대의 노래 Schilflied」, 「나이팅게일 Die Nachtigall」, 「꿈의 대관 Traumgekrönt」, 「방안에서 Im Zimmer」, 「사랑의 송가 Liebesode」, 「여름날 Sommertage」에 곡을 붙였다. 《7개의 초기가곡》은 베르크가 쇤베르크에서 사사받기 시작한 초기에 작곡된 작품으로 쇤베르크로부터 영향을 받은 현대적인 작곡기법과 슈만으로부터 내려오는 정통 독일 낭만주의 음악의 서정적인 요소들이 잘 결합된 베르크의 독특한 작곡양식을 보여준다. 본문에서는 작품의 연구에 앞서 작곡자의 생애와 시대적 배경을 다루고 있으며, 시의 이해를 돕기 위해 각 시들의 원문과 번역 및 시의 구조와 운율 분석을 제시하고 있다. 음악 분석에서는 곡의 전체적 구성을 도표로 나타내었으며 악보 예시와 함께 곡의 세부적 특징들을 보여주었다.|Alban Berg's “Seven Early Songs” were written from 1905 to 1908, when Berg began to study with Schoenberg. Berg, who was known for his ability to create sensitive musical settings for poetic texts, chose seven poems depicting love and nature, which were written by seven different poets: Nacht, Schilflied, Die Nachtigall, Traumgekrönt, Im Zimmer, Liebesode and Sommertage. In this musical setting of seven poems, Alban Berg combined modern compositional technique influenced by Shoenberg with Romantic lyricism inherited from Romantic composers like Schumann. The composer's bibliography and historical background are introduced before the musical analysis. To enhance understanding of the lyrics, the text of the songs is presented, along with translations and analysis of the poetic structure. In the musical analysis sections, organizations of the compositions are illustrated in the charts and detailed characteristics of each piece are explained along with select musical excerpts
