효과적인 합창 수업을 위한 단계적 지도 방안

Abstract

교육의 궁극적인 목적은 '바람직한 인격을 형성하게 하는 일'이다. 음악 교육은 이런 교육의 일반적 목적을 음악을 통해 이루는 것을 목표로 한다. 음악 교육에서 가장 일반적으로 이루어지는 것이 바로 가창이며, 그 중에서도 합창은 독창, 중창, 제창 등 모든 요소를 다 포함하고 있다. 합창 활동은 협동심, 책임감, 사회성 등을 길러 조화로운 인간을 만들어내는데 큰 몫을 할 뿐 아니라 청소년들의 정서 함양을 위해서도 매우 필요한 교육 활동이다. 청소년기는 아동기와 성인기로 옮겨가는 과도기로서 신체적, 정신적으로 급격한 변화를 체험하게 되며 이 시기에는 감수성이 예민하여 음악이나 예술 등의 영향을 크게 받게 된다. 따라서 이 시기에 효과적인 합창 교육?? 통하여 음악의 아름다움을 느낄 수 있도록 함은 물론 정서를 순화시켜 주고 바른 인성이 형성 되도록 지도하는 것은 매우 의미 깊은 일이다. 그러므로 학생의 성장 발달 단계에 따른 과학적이고 체계적인 형태의 합창 교육 방법의 연구가 필요하다고 사료되어 본 논문에서는 합창 활동의 단계적 지도방안을 구안하여 종래의 단편적이고 획일적이며 비효율적인 교육 방법에서 벗어나 체계적이고 다양한 활동과 경험을 통한 학습 방법을 제시하고자 실제 수업 지도안을 작성하였다. 본 연구는 효과적인 합창 활동의 단계적 지도 방안을 연구하기 위해 다음과 같은 방법으로 연구하였다. 첫째, 합창 지도의 단계적 지도 방안을 제시하기에 앞서 합창의 개념 및 청소년기의 특징과 합창의 교육적 가치를 문헌을 통해 고찰함으로써 청소년기 합창 음악의 중요성에 대해 살펴보았다. 둘째, 합창 지도의 과정은 기초단계를 포함하여 6단계로 구분하여 각각의 단계의 활동들을 구체적으로 명시하였다. 자세 및 호흡과 발성 지도 → 리듬 지도 → 5음 음계를 통한 음정 및 선율 지도 → 오스티나토와 돌림노래를 통한 어울림 지도 → 주요 3화음을 통한 어울림 지도 → 주요 3화음 및 기타 화음을 통한어울림 지도'의 순으로 각각의 단계를 제시하였다. 셋째, 이러한 합창의 단계적 지도 방안을 실제 학교의 교실 현장에서 적용하기 위해 중학교 1학년 교과서에 나오는 2 · 3부 합창곡인 '여행자'를 통해 각각의 단계별로 지도 활동들을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 '효과적인 합창 수업을 위한 단계적 지도 방안'을 제안하여 실제 교육현장에서 적용되어 체계적이고 다양한 활동과 경험을 통한 음악활동으로 학생들의 전인적 인격형성을 하는데 도움이 되기를 바란다. 그러나 아쉬운 것은 실제 학교 교실 현장에서 검증을 거치지 못하였으며 음악의 다양한 활동 중 가창 영역의 합창 지도만을 연구하였기에 학교 현장에서 실제적으로 적용하여 그 효과성을 검증하고 더 나아가 합창 이외의 다른 분야도 연구되어 보다 효과적이고 효율적으로 학생들을 지도할 수 있는 새로운 방안들이 연구되기를 기대한다.|The ultimate purpose of education is 'to build up a desirable character.' The music education take it as its aim to achieve such a general purpose of education. In the music education, singing is the most generally practiced activity, and a chorus has all the singing elements, such as solo, duet, and unison. A chorus activity is a very essential educational activity to promote cooperative spirit, responsibility, and sociality to bring up harmonious people as well as to cultivate aesthetic sentiments of youth. The youth period is a transition period from childhood to adulthood, in which they undergo a drastic change physically and mentally and are greatly influenced by music or arts through their sensitive susceptibility. Thus, it is really meaningful to lead them to feel the musical beauty through an effective chorus education as well as to ratify their emotions and coach them to form an healthy character. Therefore, considering the necessity of a scientific and systematic research on the chorus education method based on developmental stages of students, this thesis suggests a couching method of chorus activities in stages and shows learning methods of systematic and various activities and experiences out of former educational method of fragments, uniformity and inefficiency. This research was researched in following ways in order to study an educational plan in stages for effective chorus activities. First, prior to suggest an educational plan of chorus guidance in stages, I review the significance of the chorus music in youth by examining the concept of chorus, youth characteristics and educational values of chorus by referencing literatures. Second, the stages of the chorus guidance is divided into 6 stages including a primary stage and each stage is specifically clarified. I show each stage in sequence of 'posture, breath, and vocalization guidance → rhythm guidance → intervals and note study using 5 note scale → consonant guidance through ostinato and round practice → consonant guidance through major 3 chords → consonant guidance through major 3 chords and others.' Third, to apply this tutoring plan of a chorus by stages in a class scene of an actual school, I proposed the tutoring activities by stages through 'The Traveller', a 2 and 3 volume chorus song in the 1st grade music textbook of the middle school. This study proposes 'the tutoring plan for an effective chorus class by stages' and expects to help the development of an wholesome personality through music activities based on systematic and various activities and experiences. Nevertheless, it stands in need of an on-site verification for its effectiveness in actual schools, and has rather a narrow focus of the chorus tutoring. Thus, I expect to verify its effectiveness in on-spot fields and moreover to see further related studies in various fields besides chorus for more effective and more efficient methods to teach students.
