효과적인 미술 감상교육을 위한 「Work Sheet」 활용 방안

Abstract

수많은 시각 정보에 둘러싸여 생활하고 있는 현대인들에게, 가치 있는 정보를 선택하고 지각하며 반응하고 정보를 새롭게 활용, 창안하는 일은 매우 중요하다. 이러한 시각정보의 비판적 수용 능력 육성이라는 측면에서 오늘날 미술교육에 대해 요구되는 기대효과는 대단히 크다 할 수 있다. 특히 미술 감상 교육은 이러한 시각적 인지능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 구체적인 영역으로, 궁극적으로는 생활 속에서 아름다움을 발견하고 이를 통해 심미적인 정서와 안정을 얻게 된다. 이러한 아름다움을 추구하는 활동은 과거 미술 작품에만 국한된 감상교육에서 벗어나 보다 확장된 의미에서, 보다 광범위한 시각문화 전반을 포함하고 있다. 그러한 점에서 오늘날, 미술교육의 절대적 필요성이 요구되며 직접적인 미적 체험과 관련된 감상교육 역시 중요한 의의와 필요성을 가진다고 하겠다. 이에, 본 연구는 변화하는 사회 속에서 넘쳐나는 시각정보를 비판적으로 받아들이고, 적절하게 활용하며, 능동적으로 제작하고 재해석하는 시각적 인식능력을 길러주는 시각적 문해력(Visual Literacy)과 시각적 의사소통(Visual Communication) 능력의 육성을 위한 감상 교육의 중요성을 인식하고, 보다 효과적인 감상교육을 위한 교수 매체로서의 워크시트(Work Sheet)의 개발 방안에 대해 고찰하였다. Ⅰ장 서론에서는 본 논문의 목표에 대해 간단히 언급하였다. Ⅱ장에서는 감상의 개념과 감상교육의 교육적 의의에 대해 밝히고, 감상 지도의 유형과 감상지도 방법의 종류를 제시하였다. Ⅲ장에서는 감상 보조 매체로서의 워크시트(Work Sheet)의 필요성을 구성주의의 교육적 측면에서 강조하고 워크시트(Work Sheet)가 가지는 교수 매체로서의 장점을 제시하였다. Ⅳ장에서는 셀프 가이드(Self-Guide)의 역할을 담당하는 미술관에서의 워크시트(Work Sheet)와 구성주의적 교육환경을 제공하는 방안의 하나로서의 학교의 워크시트(Work Sheet)를 분류, 제시함으로써 워크시트(Work Sheet)의 활용적 측면을 구체화 하였다. Ⅴ장에서는 워크시트(Work Sheet) 유형을 형식과 내용에 따라 분류하고 제작상의 주안점 및 완성된 표본을 제시하였다. 이상을 통해, 본 연구는 시각문화교육에 대한 관심이 나날이 늘어가는 오늘날 사회적, 교육적 흐름에 응하기 위한 효율적 방안으로서 학습 도우미로서의 워크시트(Work Sheet) 개발의 필요성과 제작유형 및 활용사례를 제안하였다. 본 연구를 기초로, 향후 미술관이나 학교 현장의 교사들 및 교육 연구자들에 의한 보다 구체화된 후속 연구가 연계되기를 기대한다.| For contemporaries who live surrounded with too muchvisual information, it is very important to choose, recognize, and respond to valuable information, and also to use in a different way and create such information. From the aspect of developing ability to receive visual informationcritically, the expected effect which is required of today's art education is very huge.

Especially, education of art appreciation is a specific area that improves such visual recognition ability, and people can eventually find out the beauty in daily life and get aesthetic feeling and composure through such education. This kind of activity, which pursues beauty, was limited to appreciation education focusing on art works in the past, but now it includes visual culture of the wider range in an extended meaning. Against this backdrop, today the art education is absolutely needed, and education of art appreciation related to direct aesthetic experience has a significant meaning and need.

Therefore, this study recognizedthe importance of education for art appreciation to improve ability in terms of visual literacy and visual communication, which develops the visual recognition ability that critically receive, adequately use, actively produce and reinterpret visual information overflowing in the changing society. And this study also examined the development plan of work sheet as a teaching material for more efficient education of art appreciation.

In chapter 1, preface, Ibriefly mentioned the objective of this study. In chapter 2, I examined the concept of art appreciation and educational significance of art appreciation, and suggested the patterns and types of appreciation guide. In chapter 3, I emphasized the needs of work sheet as a supplementary material for appreciation from the educational aspect of constructionism, and suggested merits that work sheet has as a teaching material. In chapter 4, I divided work sheet into 2 types; one for work sheet used at museumswhich plays a role as self-guide; the other for work sheet at school which is one of the programs that provide constructionism educational environment. By doing so, Iembodied the practical uses of work sheet. In chapter 5, I categorized work sheet according to format and content and presented the keynote of production and final sample.

From this, I suggested the need of development, pattern of production and use example of work sheet as a teaching aid, which is aimed at being used as an efficient teaching material to correspond to the current social and educational trend in whichinterest about visual culture education is rapidly increasing. I expect further studies, which are more embodied by museums, current teachers and education researchers based on this study, to be followed in future.
