회화에 나타난 공간과 죽음에 관한 표현 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 연구자의 작업에서 ‘공간’과 ‘죽음’이 어떻게 표현되었는지 형성 배경과 과정을 통해 연구하고자 한다. 2015년부터 2017년까지의 본인의 작품을 대상으로 하며, 연도에 상관없이 ‘공간’과 ‘죽음’이라는 두 개의 주제로 분류하여 살펴보고자 한다. 사람들은 살아가며 다양한 경험을 하며 살아가고 그 경험들로부터 많은 영향을 받는다. 연구자는 일상 속에서 과거의 기억으로부터 여전히 많은 영향을 받으며 살고 있다. 과거의 좋지 못한 기억으로 누군가는 강아지를 보며 좋아하지만, 본인에게는 두려운 것처럼 말이다. 또 기억은 희미하지만 무언가를 보았을 때의 기시감을 느낀 뒤로부터 연구자는 일상 속에서 습관처럼 메모와 사진을 통해 어떠한 현상이나 느끼는 바와 같은 것들을 짧게 남기거나 본인에게 영감을 주는 것을 사진을 찍음으로 최대한 기억의 휘발성을 막으려고 한다. 추억이 있던 옛 장소를 우연히 길을 걷다 마주쳤을 때 생각이 떠올랐다. 예전의 모습 과 달라진 장소는 연구자에게 익숙했던 공간이 낯선 기분을 느끼게 되었고 그때 남겼던 글과 이미지는 작업의 바탕이 되었다. 그리고 이후에 남겨온 메모들 또한 연구자의 깊은 내면에 있었던 감정과 생각이었고 이를 회화로 표현하게 되었다. 논문의 구성은 Ⅰ.서론을 통해 연구의 배경과 목적을 다루며, Ⅱ-1장에서는 작품의 형성 배경으로 프로이트의 무의식, 공간과 죽음의 의미와 정의에 대하여 살펴보고자 한다. Ⅱ-2장에서는 작품의 형성 과정을 1) 공간이 반영된 작업, 2) 죽음이 반영된 작업을 통해 연구자의 작업 형성 과정과 작품 설명에 대하여 설명, 분석하고자 하였다. 본 논문에서는 연구자의 작업을 진행하는 과정에서 점차 변화되는 과정을 ‘공간’과 ‘죽음’이라는 두 개의 주제로 나누어 분석하고 표현방법에 대해 고찰하고자 하였으며, 이러한 과정을 통해 연구자의 작업과정을 정리하며 어떤 의미를 지니는지 탐구하고자 하였다.|This thesis has a goal to research how express ‘space’ and ‘death’ in my work through background of formation and its process. This is based on my work from 2015 to 2017, regardless of timeline, it has been classified into two sections as ‘space’ and ‘death’.

People have been through various experiences as living and they have been affected by these experiences. I would also be affected by memories from the past. For instance, someone feels happy to see a puppy, however, I do not feel the same way as someone does because of bad memory I had in the past. Memory must be getting faded in someday though, since I had felt a sense of d?j? vu as seeing something, I have habituated to try not to be faded of memory by writing down my thoughts and taking pictures that have given me an inspiration. For example, I found myself that I reminisced about a certain memory when I walk through the place I used to by chance. The space that has been changed from the past that I remember, even though I was used to this space, I totally feel new in the same place, and my work is based on note and image which I recorded in the past. And what I have written was my thoughts and feelings from my internal conscious, and I would like to express these as my own work.

The construction of the thesis is that Ⅰ.background and purpose of the research, Ⅱ-1.searching the background of formation of my work with definition and meaning of space, death, and unconscious of Freud. Ⅱ-2.analyzing and explaining the process of formation of my work 1) work reflected in space, 2) work reflected in death, about my work processing and explanation of my work.

This thesis to consider method of expression and to figure how it has been changing with my work processing as involved two subjects as ‘space’ and ‘death’, and to find a certain meaning by arranging the process of my own work.
