회화속 등장인물의 팜므 파탈 이미지 분석과 메이크업에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 세기말 예술분야인 회화에서 폭발적인 인기를 누린 요부형의 이미지인 '팜므 파탈(Femme Fatale)'의 주제를 통하여 회화적 요소를 도입한 메이크업 (Make-Up)을 연구해 보고자 한다. 팜므 파탈을 더욱 다양하게 연구하기 위해 잔인, 신비, 선정의 3가지 이미지를 분류하였다. 분류한 이미지에 맞는 요부형의 인물들을 분류하여 배경을 설명하고 그 인물들이 등장한 회화작품을 선별하여 각각의 잔인, 신비, 선정의 이미지를 표현한 회화요소들을 분석하고 그 요소들이 적용되어진 메이크업을 연구하였다. 본 논문의 내용으로 Ⅰ장에서는 본 논문의 연구 목적과 연구 방법을 제시하였고 Ⅱ장에서는 팜므 파탈의 정의와 사회적 출현 배경을 살펴보고, 팜므 파탈 이미지를 3가지로 분류하여 각 이미지에 해당하는 회화작품에서 묘사된 이미지 요소를 분석하였다. Ⅲ장에서는 Ⅱ장에서 연구한 팜므 파탈 이미지별 회화 요소들이 적용되어진 메이크업을 연구하였다. Ⅳ장에서는 Ⅱ장과 Ⅲ의 연구한 회화 요소와 메이크업 요소들의 연구결과를 배경으로 본 연구자가 각각의 이미지별로 직접 메이크업으로 표현하였다. 마지막 본 논문의 Ⅴ장 결론에서는 연구에 대한 결과와 요약, 후속 될 연구과제에 대한 제시를 하고자 한다. 본 논문의 연구 방법은 문헌고찰을 통해 팜므 파탈의 특성을 파악하고, 그리스신화와 성서의 등장인물을 대상으로 잔인, 신비, 선정의 이미지를 분류, 분석하였다. 회화작품은 19세기를 전후한 화가들의 작품을 가지고 연구하였고, 해외 4대 켈렉션(Collection)의 메이크업과 잡지, 인터넷 사이트 등의 메이크업사진 자료를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 회화에서 나타나는 요소들과 메이크업에서 나타나는 요소들은 비슷한 양상을 보여 회화와 메이크업의 요소들은 동일한 표현법으로 나타났다. 둘째, 잔인한 이미지에서는 강한 명암 대비, 어두운 색 사용 등의 요소가 나타났다. 셋째, 신비한 이미지의 작품에서 표현된 요소는 장식적 요소가 많이 도입되고, 부드러운 분위기와 화사한 색상의 사용, 섬세한 붓 터치 등의 요소가 표현되었다. 넷째, 선정의 이미지에서는 색의 대비 효과, 강렬한 색상의 사용 등의 요소로 다양하게 나타?뎬?. 본 논문을 연구하면서 회화적 요소를 도입한 메이크업을 연구하는 과정에서 메이크업의 요소만으로 의도하는 이미지를 찾기에는 자료가 부족하였기 때문에 메이크업에 있어 부수적인 요소 즉, 헤어나 의상, 모델들의 포즈와 얼굴 표정등의 요소들과 함께 연구해야만 하는 어려움이 있었다. 따라서 본 논문의 제안 점으로는 메이크업이 다른 부수적인 요소 즉, 헤어나 의상의 요소들 없이 메이크업의 표현 요소들만으로도 이미지를 표현하고, 연상될 수 있는 요소들의 표현 연구가 활성화되기를 바란다.|The purpose of this study is to study on make-ups introducing a pictorial element through a theme of femme fatale, an image of an enchantress which was very popular in fine arts at the end of century. In the 1st chapter of the study, it suggests the purpose and method of study, and in the 2nd chapter, examines the definition of femme fatale and its background of social appearance, and classifies and analyzes femme fatale with three images and elements of image in pictures of each image. In the 3rd chapter, it analyzes make-ups applied by elements of each femme fatale image studied in chapter Ⅱ. In the last conclusion chapter, it suggests further task of study along with results and summarization of the study. As a method of the research for this study, it finds out characteristics of femme fatale through literary examination and analyzes images based on figures appeared on myths and the bible. It studies pictures of painters around 19th century and examines make-ups of collections of 2003 S/S, 2003,04 F/W based on pictures of magazines and internet sites. The results of the study, firstly, there's no difference between paintings and make-ups in expressive ways because elements appeared on paintings and make-ups shows similarities each other. Secondly, there are striking comparison between light and darkness and dark color use. Thirdly, there are many ornamental element introduction and elements of soft and light color use with delicate brush touch in paintings with mysterious image. Lastly, it's appeared in variety with gloomy atmosphere and strong color use in paintings with decadent image. In this study, it's expected more active study on make-ups to express and remind images with only their elements without subsequent elements like hair or costume.
