현대패션에 나타난 다변화 의상디자인 연구 = 작품제작을 중심으로

Abstract

복식의 착용 목적은 고대에는 신체 보호와 장식적인 개념이었으며, 근대에는 자신의 지위와 능력을 나타내는 자기표현의 수단이 되었다. 하지만 현대에는 장식적인 목적, 기능적 목적을 가지며 하나의 복식이 다양한 변화를 통해 여러 가지 목적을 지니도록 디자인되어진 다변화 복식이 출현하였다. 복식의 목적과 등기는 어느 한 면이 부각되거나 강조될 수 있지만, 현대인들의 복잡한 사회구조와 다양한 라이프 스타일로 인해 기호감성의 변화가 빨라졌으며, 복식의 목적과 등기는 더욱 복합성을 띠게 되었다. 또한 현대 디자인의 새로움과 다양성에 대한 추구는 현대 복식 디자인의 한 경향으로서 다변화 복식의 성립을 가져왔다. 한편, 다변화 복식은 현대 패션에서 추구하는 조형미와 기능성을 다양하게 창출 할 수 있으며, 변화와 새로움에 대한 욕구들은 충분히 수용할 수 있는 분야로서, 최근의 해외 컬렉션에서는 이러한 패션들이 많이 소개되는 반면, 국내에서의 시도는 구조적·기술적 문제로 해외에 비해 미진한 편이다. 본 연구의 목적은 현대패션에서 나타난 이러한 복식들을 분석하고 이것을 바탕으로 복식의 장식성, 기능성을 응용하여 다양하게 변화하는 다변화 복식을 디자인하고자 한다. 본 연구는 문헌조사 방법에 의한 이론적 배경과 그것을 토대로 한 작품으로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구의 내용으로는 첫째, 다변화 복식에 관한 고찰로 다변화 복식의 개념, 출현배경과 경향, 특성과 의의에 대해서 알아보았다. 둘째, 현대페션에서 나타난 다변화 복식 디자인의 사례분석으로 다변화 복식이 가장 많이 나타난 1997 S/S에서 2002년 F/W를 대상으로, 각 시즌별로 50여 개의 컬렉션을 잡지와 인터넷 사이트를 통해 변화 가능한 다변화 복식을 조사, 표집하여 다변화 복식디자인의 유형과 표현방법을 분류, 분석하였다. 셋째, 작품 제작의도 및 방법과 작품해설에 관하여 서술하였다. 연구방법은 이와 같은 이론적 고찰을 바탕으로, 장식적인 요구와 실용적인 요구를 충족시켜주는 가변성을 가진 복식을 유형별로 각각 길이변화 2점, 실루엣변화 2점, 색상·재질변화 2점, 용도변화 2점으로 총 8점을 제작하였다. 본 연구는 복식의 시각적·기능적 다양화를 모색하는 동시에 인체, 의상, 소품의 구조적·기능적 연구를 통하여 현대인의 다양한 감성적·기능적 요구에 부응하고, 디자인에 부가가치를 부여할 수 있는 방법적 모형을 제시하고자 하였으며, 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다변화 복식은 한 벌로 여러 벌의 시각적 효과가 발생하고, 다양한 조형적 연출이 가능하므로 현대인의 새로움에 대한 감성적 요구에 부응할 수 있는 측면이 있고, 유희성을 지니므로 수요가 증대될 수 있는 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 복식의 다변화는 인체구조와 치수, 의상/소품의 형테와 기능, 효율적 구성법과 패턴에 관한 연구를 통해 창출 될 수 있으며, 이에 의한 디자인 방식은 디자인에 부가가치를 부여할 수 있는 바람직하고 효과적인 방법적 모형이 될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 셋째, 다변화 복식은 지퍼, 끈, 단추 등의 패스너를 통해 조작에 용이성을 부여할 수 있으며, 각 패스너의 종류에 따라서도 다양한 표현이 가능하였다. 넷째, 다변화 복식은 길이변화, 실루엣변화, 색상·재질변화, 용도변화 등 간단한 착용방법(개페, 착용위치의 변경, 디테일의 착탈, 주름잡기, put in ＆ out)에 따라서 변화가 가능하며, 의복의 영역을 벗어나 타예술 영역과의 조화가 가능하다는 것을 확인하였다. 앞으로 후속 연구로서 디자인의 구조적, 기능적, 장식적 측면을 완벽하게 갖춘 다변화 복식에 관한 체계적이면서도 구체적인 디자인 연구가 확대, 전개되길 바란다.|Regarding purpose of wearing costume based on the era, in ancient times, it was used for physical protection and ornament, in modern times, for the means of self-expression of social status and ability. In contemporary times, however, the diversified costume emerges which is designed to make one style of the costume satisfy both ornamental and functional purpose through various mutation. Actually, even though the purpose and motive of costume can be emphasized in one-sided manner, the complicated social structure and life style of contemporary people cause a rapid change of their taste and complexity of its purpose and motive. Moreover, the pursuit of newness and diversity of led establishment of diversified costume as a main stream of design for contemporary costume. Under the circumstance stated above, the diversified costume can create diversely formative characteristic and functional ability modern fashion pursues, and accept desire for change and newness fully. Despite its significance, there is not any trial to introduce the diversified costume in domestic fashion collection due to structural and technical limitation, compared to the recent foreign fashion collection which has been introducing it many times. In this context, the purpose of study is to analyze the characteristics of costume in contemporary fashion and to apply ornamentation and functional ability acquired from above analysis in order to suggest appropriate methods for the diversified costume. As method and structure of study, researcher investigates theoretical background through literature examination and demonstrates the materials of works relevant to its background. And the contents of study are specified like follows. Firstly, as review to the diversified costume, researcher investigated its conception, emergence background and trend and finally its characteristics and meaning. Secondly, as case analysis on design of the diversified costume which emerges in contemporary fashion, researcher surveyed the seasonal diversified costumes from 1997 S/S to 2002 F/W which was showed at 50 fashion collections from the magazines and internet web site, and sampled it, then classified its pattern and expressional method and analyzed it. Thirdly, researcher described intention of producing each work, production methods and its interpretation. As methodology, based on the theoretical reviews, researchers also produced the changeable costumes that meets both ornamental and practical needs, which includes whole 8 pieces, specifically, two pieces of each change in the length, silhouette, hue ＆ quality of material and use. Through these procedures, this study tries to search visual and functional diversity of costumes, to fulfill people's demand for emotion and function by structural and functional investigation on the human body, clothes and accessory, and to suggest a methodological model by which value can be added to design. In conclusion, research results are represented like follows. Firstly, even one diversified costume gives such visual effect, as it looks like several costumes to people, and various formative performance that they can fulfill emotional needs for newness. Furthermore, its amusable characteristic confirms the possibility of increasing demand. Secondly, the diversified costume can be created by investigation on human body and its measurements, form and function of clothes and accessory, and efficient composition and pattern. Therefore, it is clear that the design manner following those investigation is desirable and effective model to grant value added to design itself. Thirdly, the diversified costume can lead the easiness of operation by fastener such as zipper, string and button, and various expression according to each type of fastener. Finally, the diversified costume can change easily based on the simple wearing manner including the change in the length, silhouette, hue ＆ quality of material and use, for example, alteration of opening and shutting or wearing position, and pleating, put in ＆ out and attachment of detachment of detail. And at same time, researcher confirms that it can match itself with other artistic fields beyond clothes field. In the result, this study recommends that more specific and systematic design examination on the diversified costumes which implement structural, emotional and ornamental aspects perfectly be expanded and developed.
