「현대인 풍자적 표현」에 관한 연구

Abstract

현대사회는 과학과 문명이 하루가 다르게 발전하여 가고 있으며 이러한 산업사회로 인해 인간은 물질적으로 풍요로운 삶을 누리고 있다. 그러나 현대의 물질만능의 시대는 삶의 편리함과 동시에 인간의 사고를 더욱 음울함과 절망적 존재로 가치를 전도시키는 병리현상이 만연하고 있다. 현대인은 더 이상 정신에 의해 물질을 지배하고 사용하며 그 삶을 선택하고 결정하는 주체로서의 존재가 아니라 사회구조의 하나의 객체로서 스스로의 의지를 점차 포기하게 되고 생활의 무력감을 느끼게 된다. 인간의 존엄성이 상실되고 타인과의 소통뿐만 아니라 점점 인간이 획일화되고 소외되어가는 현실을 맞이한다. 이러한 현대인들은 일상으로부터 나타나는 불안한 인간심리 현상은 정신적으로 섬세한 감수성을 지닌 현대 예술가들에 의해 날카롭게 반영되고 있으며, 현대사회의 모순과 인간 소외에 따른 현대인의 실상과 사회상 또한 예술 작품의 주요 주제로 표현되고 있다. 또한 시대적 상황의 위기문제는 예술을 포함한 철학, 사회학 등 여러 분야에서의 반성적 자각을 통해 위기극복의 방안이 모색되고 있으며, 자아의 정체성의 발견과 인간의 가치에 대한 물음들이 제시되고 있다. 본인의 작품은 이러한 인간의 존재적 가치에 대한 이야기를 하고자 하는데 현대를 살아가는 인간이 당면한 현실의 문제와의 관계성을 드러내고자 하였다. 본 연구의 주관적 관점으로 포착되어진 현대인의 일상에 나타나는 인간의 심상을 은유적 표현을 통해 사회적 현상들을 상징적으로 표출하고자 하였다. 한편, 사회적 현실로부터 극복 의지를 보이고자하나 일상적인 여건 때문에 인간의 의지가 좌절되는 모습을 극명하게 드러내고자 기괴한 행동을 한 신체적 구조를 표현하였고, 비장(悲壯)미적인 요소를 내포하기 위해 동판이라는 오브제를 이용하였다. 이와 같은 과정으로 조형물로 표현된 인간 행동의 재현을 통하여 현대인이 느끼는 반복된 일상에 인간성 상실을 경험하고, 현대 사회현상의 인간상황을 일상의 관계 속에서 이해하고 표현함으로써 인식의 폭을 넓히며, 좀 더 긍정적인 갈등해소를 모색함으로써 인간성의 회복을 통한 인간적 삶의 역할을 재인식 하고자 하였다. 본 논고 서론과 본론에서는 현대사회의 현상 속에 인간성 상실에 대한 문제와 현대인의 일상에 대해 재조명하고, 본인의 작품에서 드러난 일상 속에 불안정한 인간의 행동이 부각되어져 상징화된 이유와 과정을 논하였으며, 마지막으로 인체의 이미지를 형상화한 이유와 그 표현들의 역할과 의미를 분석하여 본인이 추구하려는 사실성의 의미를 밝혀보고자 하였다. 뿐만 아니라 본인의 작품에 대한 성립과정과 의미를 심층적으로 서술하였다.|Modern society has shown a rapid development in science and civilization and by the means of industrial society people enjoy richness in their material lives. However as they enjoy the convenience of the materialism, at the same time, there exists a pathological phenomenon that conducts human thoughts to a despair and melancholy. Modern people no longer exist as the almighty with all the psychological power over decisions and the usage of materials. Instead, as the member of society, they tend to resign their wills and be helpless. The dignity of mankind has been lost as there are less communications and they face the brutal reality of isolation with the standardization. Therefore, an anxious human psychological phenomenon from daily life of modern people are reveled by contemporary artists whom are mentally sophisticated and sensitive. Also the contradiction in modern society and the isolation of mankind as the result of reality and the social values are expressed as the main topics in contemporary arts. The danger in current time beings are studied in various other fields such as philosophy and sociology, all in search of answer to self-realization and the values in humanity. In my work, values in existence of mankind and the relationship between the struggles mankind face in their daily life are revealed. A psychological image revealed in daily life is captured by subjective point of view of the research and they are symbolically revealed with metaphorical expressions. On the other side, body figures in strange actions are shown to reveal failure due to conditions in everyday life as opposed to will to overcome the reality. A copper plate is used as the main object to contain features of tragic beauty. Through the reproduction of human actions in formative arts, loss of humanity in daily life of mankind is reinforced. In attempt to understand the situation in terms of phenomenon of the modern society with the relationships in everyday life, the range of recognition extended. By searching more practical solutions, the role of humane life is restudied. In the introduction and the body of the thesis, issues on loss of humanity in modern society and daily life of mankind are redefined and how instable actions of mankind is revealed and symbolized in the work are discussed. Finally, by analyzing the reason why such body images are formed, and also their expressions and the meanings they contain, the truth the artist is trying to obtain is revealed.
