현대문명 속의 소외된 인간상에 대한 연구 : 본인의 작품을 중심으로

Abstract

자연의 지배, 경제적 풍요, 이를 통?? 확장되는 인간의 자유와 행복이 초기 과학기술의 지향점이었을 것이다. 이런 희망들은 20세기 초반부터 급속한 과학기술의 발전을 통해 인류에게 화려한 미래를 약속하는 듯한 착각을 불러일으키기도 했다. 그러나 자연을 지배하는 더 유용한 도구들을 수없이 만들어 낸 현대문명은, 인간 스스로를 그러한 도구들의 예속물로 전락시키는 문제점을 배태하고 있었다. 본인 작품의 일관된 관심은 현대문명 속에서 소외된 인간이 그 본래 자리로 회귀해야만 한다는 사유에 기초한 것이었다. 현대문명 속의 인간상에 대한 조형화 작업은 물질문명의 돌파구가 정신문명으로의 회귀에 의한 것임을 자각하기 위한 시도라 할 수 있다. 본 논문은 이와 같은 본인의 작품을 대상으로 정신적 배경, 표현 방법 등을 서술한 것으로 총 3장으로 구성되어있다. 제1장 서론에서는 연구 목적과 그 방법에 대해 약술하였다. 제2장 본론에서는 작품의 정신적 배경으로 현대문명 속의 소외된 인간상에 대한 대안으로서 정신문명으로의 회귀라는 관점을 통해 이를 표현하기 위해 사용된 소재들과 표현 방법들을 설명하였다. 또한 개별 작품 설명을 위해 작품사진과 작품제작방법, 내용 등을 서술하였다. 제3장 결론에서는 본 논문의 내용을 개괄적으로 정리하고 앞으로의 작업 방향에 대해 언급하였다.|The early science and technology must have targeted the mastery over the nature, economic abundance and expanded human freedom and happiness through them. These hopes have misled people to the promise of the brighter future through the rapid development of science and technology. Since the early 20th century, however, the modern civilization which has created countless useful tools to control the nature has conceived a problem that human beings fall slaves to those tools. The consistent concern in the researcher's works is based upon the thought that alienated human beings in the modern civilization should return to their original place. All the representations of human images in the modern civilization are the attempts to remind us that the only outlet of the materials civilization is to return to the mental civilization. This thesis, which addresses the mental backgrounds and expression methods in the researcher's works, is composed of three chapters. Chapter 1 is the introduction part which lists the research purpose and its methods. Chapter 2, the subjects and expression methods are explained which are adopted to show the point of view that the return to the mental civilization is the alternative to the alienated human images in the modern civilization with the backgrounds of the works. In addition, to explain individual works, photographs are presented along with their production methods and contents. Chapter 3 is the conclusion part where the overall thesis is summarized with comments on the future directions of the researcher's' creative works.
