합창 유형을 활용한 중학교 1학년 전통민요 지도에 관한 연구

Abstract

이 연구는 국악에 대한 관심과 표현 능력 신장, 가창력·이해력 신장, 협동 정신 향상과 우리 문화 이해를 쉽게 하기 위해 중학교 1학년 교과서에 수록되어 있는 전통 민요를 합창곡으로 개발, 활용함으로서 교육 현장에서 흥미로운 국악 수업을 할 수 있도록 하는 것이 목적이다. 합창은 심미적인 안목을 가지게 되고, 학생들이 배워야할 음악의 요소들을 통합적으로 배울 수 있다. 또한 협동심을 기를 수 있고 보다 풍요롭고 의미 있는 삶을 영위하도록 한다. 이러한 합창을 이 연구에서는 모이는 합창, 흩어지는 합창, 강조하는 합창, 대조하는 합창, 4가지로 분류하여 설명하였다. 설문조사를 통해 민요 수업의 힘든 점과 보완해야할 점 등 전통 민요 지도의 현황을 알 수 있었다. 합창 유형을 활용한 민요 합창곡의 필요성이 적극적으로 활용(43%)하겠다는 의견을 포함해서 95%의 높은 수치를 나타냈다. 전통 민요의 특징을 살펴보고 합창의 유형대로 5개의 악곡을 편곡 하였다. ‘훨훨이’는 모이는 합창으로 기존의 메기고 받는 소리 부분을 이용하여 개발 하였고, ‘해주 아리랑’은 독창자가 받는 소리를 흥겹게 불러주고 그 후에 대조하는 합창의 형태로 남성과 여성이 메기는 소리의 부분을 부르게 하였다. ‘콩 꺾자 콩 꺾자’는 강조하는 합창의 형태로 주요 선율 부분을 남성 파트에 처음부터 끝까지 넣어 주면서 부각되게 하였으며, ‘칭칭이 소리’는 메기고 받는 소리를 유지하며 메기는 부분은 독창자가 부르고 받는 부분은 남성과 여성이 파트를 나누어 흩어지는 합창의 형태로 만들었다. ‘는실타령’은 돌림 노래의 형식으로 주고 받으며 노래할 수 있도록 흩어지는 합창 형태로 편곡하였다. 전통 민요의 단순하고 쉬운 선율이 합창 활동을 통하여 다양하고 흥미롭게 활용되어 학생들의 전통 민요의 관심과 국악에 대한 흥미를 높일 수 있기 때문에 합창 유형에 따른 전통 민요 지도는 도입되어야 한다. 이 연구에서 시도한 것처럼 성인들에게 맞추어진 전통 민요 합창곡 보다는 학생들이 쉽게 즐길 수 있는 합창곡으로 만들어져 우리나라 전통의 미와 흥을 알고 국악에 관심을 많이 가질 수 있도록 하여야 하겠다.|The purpose of this study is to use the traditional korean folk song in middle school textbooks which is transformed into the Chorus music by arrangement. In order to perceive Korean Culture easily, the textbook has been limited to the first year music textbook in middle school. The Chorus helps students have a sense of aesthetics and learn the comprehensive essential elements of music. Besides gaining partnership, the students can conduct their lives more meaningfully and productively through the Chorus. The Chorus in this study is classified into four aspects: Gathering Chorus, Scattering Chorus, Accentuating Chorus, and Contrasting Chorus. The survey on current state of teaching the traditional korean folk song has revealed some difficulties in and complements to classes of the folk song. A necessity for the Chorus incorporated folk tunes has taken up a considerably high percentage including an opinion suggesting for its progressive use. This study consists of the characteristics of Korean traditional folk song and the explanation about the arrangement of five pieces. As Gathering Chorus, ‘Hwel Hwel Ee’ uses the typical Korean traditional pattern, Question and Answer style. In ‘Hae Ju Arirang’, a soloist sings the answering part first and later on male and female groups take the questioning part for Contrasting Chorus. Accentuating Chorus, ‘Kong Ggeokk Ja Kong Ggeokk Ja’ features a group of male, singing the main melody all the way through the piece. ‘Ching Ching Ee Tune’ keeps both of the questioning and answering parts during the entire singing. This folk song takes the form of Scattering Chorus; a soloist mainly leads the song and each group of male and female sings the following part. ‘Neun Sil Taryung’ is arranged for the Canonic Scattering Chorus. questioning and answering parts are a chief constituent of the music. In order to teach the Korean traditional folk song effectively, a genre of the Chorus has to be introduced into a textbook. Even though the folk song has simple and seamless melodies, it arouses students to act enough. In other words, through singing the Chorus piece using folk tunes, the students can increase their interests in the Korean traditional music and curiosity about folk songs. As this study attempts, many pieces for the Chorus based on the traditional korean folk song have to be arranged for students rather than for adults. The music for the Chorus that students can enjoy and be easy to approach encourages the students to be interested into the beauty and pleasure of their country’s tradition and Korean traditional music.
