한국 미술 중에 나타나는 해학미 연구

Abstract

한국인의 해학은 자연의 이치에 순응하고 조화를 이루는 가운데 삶의 지혜를 쌓으며 살아온 우리 조상들의 정서를 포함하고 있다. 이것은 외적의 잦은 침략과 수난으로 장기간 고생해야 했던 우리 민족의 고통, 지배계급에 온갖 가렴주구(苛斂誅求)를 당하며 살아야 했던 서민들, 유?냅岵? 가부장제도 하의 가정생활 속에서 끝없는 인내와 극기로 살아가야 했던 조선조 여인들 등의 고난을 이겨내는 생활력으로 응집되어 자연적으로 나타난 것이다. 이러한 한국 민족만의 해학의 밑바탕에는 인간중심적이며 현세중심적인 의식세계와 모든 일을 긍정적으로 바라보는 한국인의 생활 정서가 포함되어 있다. 또 오래 전부터 전해오는 한국 예술의 모습을 살펴보면, 우리민족은 정형화되어 반듯한 규격적인 모습보다는 그 속에 파격적인 비약을 보이는 표현이 섞임으로 인해 숨통이 트이는 것을 즐기며 이를 통해 하나의 해학적 표현을 하고 있음을 엿볼 수 있다. 본 논문에서의 해학성은 단순한 익살과 유머러스한 표현 이상의 개념이라 할 수 있다. 한국 회화의 다양한 장르 속에서 나타나는 해학은 단순한 웃음이나 비웃음이 아니라, 대상을 감싸주며 대상에 대한 부정적인 감정마저도 포용과 융화, 사랑의 부드러운 감성으로 어루만져 주는 따스함이 녹아있기 때문이다. 이러한 해학은 서민들의 생활과 의식을 중심으로 삶의 애환과 고통을 풍자적으로 표현함으로 그들의 한을 승화시키려는 풍속화와 자유로운 표현기법을 통해 무능한 권력계급을 우미(愚迷)하게 표현해 풍자한 민화에서 찾아볼 수 있다. 우리 사상 속에 알게 모르게 스며들어 전해 내려오고 있는 전통미술 속에 나타나는 해학을 중심으로 그와 비슷한 화의(畵意)를 품고 있는 다른 작품이나 근대에 나타난 해학이 표현된 작품 몇 점을 서로 연관 지어 생각해 봄으로써 우리 조상들의 미의식과 삶의 지혜를 다시 한번 되짚어 봄과 동시에 한국회화의 흐름을 살펴볼 수 있을 것이다. 이를 통해 한국 회화가 앞으로 지향(指向)할 것과 지양(止揚)해야 할 것을 구분하여 우리의 의식과 작품세계가 보다 발전되고 성숙한 모습으로 거듭날 수 있는 방향을 제시하는 기회가 되고자 한다.|Korean humor which accomplishes harmony and which adapts to the principles of nature, includes the emotion of our ancestors. It appeared naturally through vitality of which the pain of our nation who had difficulties for a long time because of the frequent agression and suffering, the populace who was suffered by their ruling classes, women in "Chosun" who had to live with endless endurance and stoicism under confucian and paterfamilias system. The foundation of the humor which our nation has only, includes the consciousness of anthropocentricism and secularism, and includes the life emotion of Korean which is always positive. We can find that our nation enjoy theirselves being relaxed by the expression of special leap rather than standard one, and through this, they do express a kind of humorous expression, in the Korean fine arts. The humor of this dissertation has the concept which passes over simple flesh or humorous expression. Because, the humor in Korean pictures is not a simple laugh, and is not a derisive smile either. And because, there is a intensity which has a willing to protect the object and to accept even the negative emotion through embrace and love. We can find the humor in the genre picture which the suffering and pain of life make grudges to be sublimated through the expression of the suffering and the pain of life of populace in the focus which is on their life and awareness. And we can also find the humor in the picture which satirize the inefficient influential classes through the free expression. Through the research of the transformation and transmission of our traditional humor in relation to the pictures -which have similar meaning, or express the humor appeared in modern times-, we can see the flow of Korean pictures and aesthetic consciousness of our ancestors at the same time. And I will present the direction of our consciousness and the work of art in the positive way, dividing Korean pictures into intention and sublation.
