한국 교육소설의 주제와 교수법 연구
- Abstract
- This purpose of ths study was to build a literary model to understand our society in better perspectives and to suggest a guide for the novel education.
In the first chapter, the "Education Novel" is defined as the novel which deals with the subject, focusing mainly on the educational matter. Its content shows the gap between the reality and the idealism of education or the power of education which causes the critical changes of the main characters.
In the second chapter, the following 4 novels, For the Little Brother by Suk-Young Hwang, The Tears of an Idol by Sang-Guk Jeon, Our Distorted Hero by Mun-Yeol Lee, and Learning Huh-Sang-Jeon by Si-Han Choi, were analysed. These educational novels were selected due to their public popularity.
In the third chapter, "The Method of Novel Educaton" of "Why-teacher" in the novel, Learning Huh-Sang-Jeon by Si-Han Choi, was attempted to be implemented in the educational site. The subject of The Tears of an Idol by Sang-Guk Jeon was used to examine executable "The Method of Teaching." For the Little Brother by Suk-Young Hwang and Our Distorted Hero by Mun-Yeol Lee, have been also compared, and analysed because they are similar in dealing the content of "The problems of the authorities in the classroom." From "The Method of Teaching" the teaching method was devised, focusing on the students activity by giving them the core and concrete subject of discussion. I believe this way of teaching can help the students to understand the core meaning of the novel instead of seeing the novel's exterior features. Also this way of teaching can make the students react diversely, and let them develop their sesitive consciousness for the valuable life. Reading and thinking about the novels can grow their sensibility and logical thoughts highly, and gives them ability to express them directly.
Therefor this is the teaching method that also corresponds educational goal in 7th course of study, which attaches great importance to developing creative communication skill.
