하와이 韓人社會의 形成과 愛國意識 硏究 = 日帝强占期를 中心으로

Abstract

본 논문은 大韓帝國의 첫 公式移民으로 형성되었던 하와이 韓人社會의 形成과 日帝强占期 그곳 韓人들의 愛國意識과 獨立運動에 관한 硏究이다. 하와이 韓人社會는 1903년부터 1905년까지 7,400여명의 韓人들의 移住로 形成된 社會였으며, 日本帝國主義의 韓半島 植民地化로 국내에서와 마찬가지로 抗日愛國意識이 고조되었다. 하와이 한인들의 愛國意識은 이민초기부터 愛國團體의 결성으로 나타났고, 하와이는 1910년 國權被奪을 계기로 중요한 獨立運動地로 변모되었다. 이러한 하와이의 獨立運動 基地化는 하와이 韓人社會의 풍부한 人的 物的 자원 때문에 가능한 것이었다. 하와이 韓人社會의 愛國意識은 大韓人國民會 하와이 地方總會, 同志會, 大朝鮮國民軍團, 大朝鮮獨立團, ?殞柏퇸戎濃幀?, 聯合韓人委員會, 在美韓族聯合委員會 등의 단체와 朴容萬, 李承晩, 盧伯麟, 韓吉洙 등의 獨立運動家를 통하여 獨立運動으로 승화되었다. 하와이 韓人들은 1919년 수립된 大韓民國 臨時政府에도 1945년 光復이 되기까지 人的 物的 방법으로 적극 支援하였다. 본고에서는 이러한 하와이 韓人社會의 형성과정과 愛國意識이 발현되어 獨立運動으로 승화되는 과정을 6장에 걸쳐 서술하였다. 각 장의 구성은 다음과 같다. 제1장은 서론으로 본 연구의 취지, 목적, 범위와 연구의 강조점에 대해 서술하였다. 제2장은 하와이 韓人社會가 형성될 수 있었던 1903년에서 1905년 사이의 移民에 대해 서술하였다. 이민의 背景과 移民過程을 서술하고, 하와이 移民局의 선편 입국자 명단을 통해 확보한 韓人移民團 명단을 분석하여 하와이 韓人移民團의 人的構成을 분석하였는데, 이는 하와이 韓人社會의 기본이 되는 이민자들에 대한 기초적인 분석으로서 하와이 韓人社會를 이해하는 기초가 된다고 하겠다. 제3장은 이민으로 형성된 韓人社會의 定着過程에 대해 서술하였다. 韓人社會의 정착과정을 처음 도착한 이민자들이 결성한 親睦會的 성격의 洞會와 自助會, 한인 이민자들의 개인적 가정?? 안정을 위한 結婚, 국내 상황 인식의 결과 조직된 獨立運動團體로 나누어 서술하였다. 이로써 하와이 韓人社會는 社會的 經濟的 안정을 이루어 獨立運動의 社會的 經濟的 기반을 확립하였다. 제4장은 1910년 국권이 피탈되면서 일어나게 되는 하와이 韓人들의 愛國意識과 獨立運動에 대해 서술하였다. 하와이 한인들의 愛國意識과 獨立運動을 大韓人國民會 하와이 地方總會, 同志會, 大朝鮮國民軍團, 大朝鮮獨立團, 中韓民衆同盟團, 在美韓族聯合委員會 議事部 등의 團體와 朴容萬, 李承晩, 盧伯麟, 韓吉洙 등 獨立運動家를 통하여 서술하였으며, 海外韓族大會 개최에 대해서도 서술하였다. 제5장에서는 獨立運動의 구심체로서 1919년 상해에 설립된 大韓民國 臨時政府와 하와이 韓人의 支援 특히 軍資金 支援에 대해 서술하였다. 이는 하와이의 韓人과 韓人社會가 獨立運動을 전개함에 있어서 전체 獨立運動의 맥락 속에서 有機的으로 연계되어 獨立運動을 전개하였음을 서술하고자 한 것이다. 제6장에서는 이상의 내용을 정리하여 結論을 대신하였다.|Emigration happens social and economic situation of individual and society. So it is a matter of course that emigration happens any society and period. But it is not easy to grasp the scale of emigration. Movement of population so called emigration happens sometimes in Korea. The first modern emigration what happened in Korea is the emigration of Korean removed to Hawaii in 1902. This is the first official emigration through to Suminwon(綬民院) which is a organization of government to support emigration. This is emigration of labor which is working in sugar plantation. located in Hawaii. This paper concerned about two point. One point is Korean Community which caused the first official Korean emigration from 1903 to 1905 in Hawaii. Other point is patriotism and independence movement of Korean under the rule of Japanese (from 1910 to 1945) in Hawaii. Korean Community in Hawaii was made up about 7,400 Korean people who moved korea and arrived in Hawaii between 1903 and 1905. Anti-Japanese sentiments and patriotism was high Korean community in Hawaii because Japanese was colonized Korea. Patriotism of Korean in Hawaii expressed form an organization of Patriotism the eatly days of emigration. And Hawaii changed land of important Korean Independence Movement after Japanese conquered Korean in 1910. Hawaii changed base of Korean Independence Movement an acount of abundance human and material resources Korean community in Hawaii. Patriotism of Korean community in Hawaii sublimated Korean Independence Movement through organization which is the Hawaii chapter of the Korean National Association(大韓人國民會 하와이 地方總會), Nationalist Party(同志會), Korean Narional Brigade(大朝鮮國民軍團), Korean Independence League(大朝鮮獨立團), Sino-Korean People's League(中韓民衆同盟團), Honolulu of United Korean Committee in America (在美韓族聯合委員會 議事部) and people who is Youngman Pak(朴容萬), Syngman Lee(李承晩), Paklin Rho(盧伯麟), Kilsoo K Haan(韓吉壽). Korean in Hawaii supported positive the provisional government from 1919 to 1945. This paper writes through chapter 6 the form process of Korean community in Hawaii and the process which patriotism sublimated Independence Movement. 1st chapter is an introduction which composed opinion, purpose, scope and point of study. 2nd chapter is emigration which formed Korean community in Hawaii. It is include background of emigration, process of emigration and analysis of Korean emigrant group. It is foundation that understanding Korean Community in Hawaii. Sources was used immigration list which arrived in Hawaii from 1903 to 1905 in department for immigrant affairs in Hawaii. It means base of understanding Korean community. 3rd chapter is process of Korean immigration fixation. Korean in Hawaii made up DongHai(洞會) and ChaJiHai(自助會) that purpose was increasing friendship. And Korean marry, organization of independence movement which is result of recognition of domestic situation. 4th chapter is patriotism organization and people in Hawaii. organization is Korean National Association(大韓人國民會 하와이 地方總會), Nationalist Party(同志會), Korean Narional Brigade(大朝鮮國民軍團), Korean Independence League(大朝鮮獨立團), Sino-Korean People's League(中韓民衆同盟團), Honolulu of United Korean Committee in America (在美韓族聯合委員會 議事部) and people is Youngman Pak(朴容萬), Syngman Lee(李承晩), Paklin Rho(盧伯麟), Kilsoo K Haan(韓吉壽). 5th chapter is support of Korean in Hawaii for the provisional government . It means that Independence movement in Hawaii was organic linked total Independence movement. 6th chapter is conclusion.
