The Study on the Justice with Intergrative Approach
Abstract
In today’s society, justice is referred to as a problem of determining what is justified when it comes to distributing commodities and goods. For example, Rawls and Walzer, who only focus their theories of justice in terms of distribution of goods, they have not been fully observing the problems of “recognition” and “representative.” At this juncture, this study proposes ‘justice in three-dimensional approach’ as a new theory of justice in which we desperately need in this generation. It must be understood that this kind of three-dimensional approach must encompass not only ‘redistribution’ in economic perspective, but also a problem of ‘recognition’ in cultural perspective as well as a problem of ‘representative’ in political perspective. Ultimately, it is necessary for the concept of justice to be redefined with multi-dimensional approach. Furthermore, this study proposes a new course of direction for teaching ethics and moral studies. To elaborate, basic ethics education needs to include all three problems of redistribution, recognition, and representatives. In addition, ethics education needs to emphasize affective characteristics, recognizable and behavioral approaches in order for educators to practically teach justice to their students. With this type of integrated approaches in teaching justice, it will be possible for the program to actually raise ‘a person with justice’. Lastly, the concept of justice must display not just as an abstract theory, but a theory where it can actually help a person to apply justice in his or her real life. Furthermore, in order to teach justice, moral education needs to provide more specific methods, as well as practical alternatives.
