클라리넷에 관한 전반적인 고찰 : 현대음악에 나타난 베이스 클라리넷의 기법에 관하여

Abstract

영문초록: p. xi-xⅱ|오늘날 독주 악기로서 뿐만 아니라 관현악, 관악, 실내악에서 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있는 클라리넷은 약 250년의 전통을 가지고 있다. 클라리넷은 목관으로 만들어진 이조악기로서 마우스피스, 배럴, 윗부분, 아랫부분, 그리고 벨로 구성되어 있다. 클라리넷은 목관악기 중 가장 늦게 발달한 악기로 18세기 초에 독일과 프랑스에서 사용되는 동안에 개량되어 19세기에 완성되었다. 오늘날은 독일식과 프랑스식이 쓰이고 있는데, 독일식은 19세기 초 독일의 연주자 뮬러에 의해서 지공과 운지법이 대폭 개량되어 그것이 바탕이 된 것이고, 프랑스식은 플루트의 뵘 방식의 장점을 받아들인 것이다. 본 논문에서는 클라리넷의 구조와 음색, 음역, 음악적인 역사, 구조적 발달과정 그리고 현재에 쓰이고 있는 클라리넷 시스템에 대하여 고찰하고자 한다. 또한 클라리넷의 일반적인 배경을 통하여 베이스 클라리넷의 이론적 배경을 밝히며 현대 음악에서의 베이스 클라리넷의 역할과 비중을 제시하고자한다. 현대음악의 과제 중 하나는 음악에 대한 고정관념을 버리고 새로운 연주법, 기보법 그리고 이러한 연주법으로 실제 연주되는 상황 등에 익숙하게 하는 것이다. 현대음악에서는 작곡자의 의도에 따라 연주법을 효과적으로 변화시킴으로써 다양한 음향효과를 창출할 수 있다. 특히 베이스 클라리넷의 다양한 주법으로 오늘날 현대음악에서 요구되는 기법상의 문제를 수용할 수 ?斂? 되었으며 더 나아가 다양한 기법을 개발할 수 있는 가능성을 엿볼 수 있게 되었다. 이런 점에서 볼 때 현대 작곡가들의 많은 작품들은 베이스 클라리넷에 나타난 새로운 음향과 특수주법들을 많이 제시하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현대 작품들에 나타난 베이스 클라리넷의 특수기법(주법)과 그에 따른 음향효과를 연구하고자 한다.|The clarinet which plays an important role in orchestra, wind ensembles and chamber music as well as solo instrument these days has the history of 250 years. The clarinet is a transposing instrument made of wood, and it consists of mouthpiece, barrel, upper joint, lower joint and bell. The clarinet has the shortest history among wooden instruments, which was developed in Germany and France early in the 18th century, and completed in 19th century. Today, we widely use the clarinet by the German system and French system; the key work and fingering is improved by Mu¨ller, German player in German system, and the merit of Bo¨hm-flute system is adopted to French system. In this paper, my study focuses on structure, register, musical history, organological development and present clarinet system. Also, I intend to discover the theoretical background and the role of bass clarinet in contemporary music through the general background of the clarinet. One of the assignments of contemporary music is to discard the fixed idea and to make us accustomed to new playing technique, notation and realistic playing situation. In contemporary music, a composer can create various effective sounds by changing playing technique as efficiently as he wants. Especially with the various techniques of bass clarinet, we can overcome the technical problem. Furthermore, we can find the possibility of inventing various technique in contemporary music. At this point of view, many works done by contemporary composer are suggesting the new sound and special technique of bass clarinet appearing in the bass clarinet. In this study, I want to investigate the special technique and the following sound effect in contemporary music.
