코로나19 시대의 음악 원격수업에 대한 교사 인식 조사

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 코로나19로 인해 이루어진 음악 교과 원격수업 운영 현황과 그에 대한 교사들의 인식을 조사하여 앞으로 더욱 효과적인 음악 원격수업을 하는 데 도움이 되고자 한다. 따라서 2021년 원격수업을 진행한 중등 음악 교사 14인을 대상으로 인터뷰를 진행하였고, 그 내용은 원격수업의 지원 및 계획, 활동 영역별 지도 현황, 원격수업의 결과 및 학생들의 태도, 원격수업의 장단점과 개선점에 대한 것이었다. 인터뷰 내용이 전사된 자료를 바탕으로 엑셀을 이용해 코딩, 분석하였고, 분석을 통한 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교육부와 지역 교육청은 원격수업 운영 지침에 관한 안내를 제공하였으나 음악 교과 관련 내용은 부족하였다. 따라서 교사들은 동료 교사와의 협업을 통해 원격수업을 준비하였다. 또한 원격수업을 위한 학교의 지원은 각 학교마다 편차가 존재했다. 둘째, 교사들은 대부분 원격수업을 실시간 쌍방향 수업으로 운영했다. 감상 영역은 기존 대면수업과 별 차이 없는 강의식 수업으로 교사들의 부담이 없어 가장 많이 진행하고 있었다. 하지만 실기 수업은 원격으로 진행하기엔 한계가 있다고 느끼며 사용 중인 플랫폼들의 기능 개선을 요구하였다. 셋째, 학생들의 참여도와 학업 성취도는 대면 수업에 비해 떨어졌으며 학생들은 등교하여 대면 수업하기를 희망하고 있었다. 넷째, 교사들이 느낀 원격수업의 긍정적인 영향은 감염의 위험에서 벗어나 음악 수업을 진행할 수 있었고, 학교 수업의 다양한 형태를 제시하여 미래 수업을 대비하는 발판이 되었다는 것이다. 또한 학생들의 자기주도학습을 실천할 계기를 마련해주고 채팅을 통해 소극적인 학생들과 소통을 할 수 있게 해주었다. 다섯째, 교사들이 느낀 원격수업의 부정적인 영향은 학생들은 수업에 집중하기 힘들어하고 학생들 간 학습 격차 또한 더욱 심해졌다는 것이다. 또한 학생들의 음악 활동의 기회를 제한했으며 개별적 피드백 또한 어려워졌다. |The purpose of this study is to help more effective music remote classes in the future by investigating the current status of remote classes in music subjects made due to COVID-19 and teachers' perceptions of them. Therefore, interviews were conducted with 14 secondary music teachers who conducted remote classes in 2021, and the contents were about the support and planning of remote classes, the current status of guidance by activity area, the results of remote classes, and students' attitudes, strengths and improvements. Based on the transcribed data, the interview contents were coded and analyzed using Excel, and the results of the study through analysis are as follows. First, the Ministry of Education and the Regional Office of Education provided guidance on remote class operation guidelines, but the content related to music subjects was insufficient. Therefore, teachers prepared remote classes through collaboration with fellow teachers. In addition, there were variations in school support for remote classes for each school. Second, most of the teachers operated remote classes as real-time interactive classes. The appreciation area was a lecture-style class that was not much different from the existing face-to-face classes, and it was conducted the most because there was no burden on teachers. However, he felt that there was a limit to conducting practical classes remotely and demanded improvement of the functions of the platforms in use. Third, students' participation and academic achievement fell compared to face-to-face classes, and students hoped to go to school and have face-to-face classes. Fourth, the positive effect of remote classes felt by teachers was that they were able to proceed with music classes away from the risk of infection, and presented various forms of school classes to prepare for future classes. It also provided an opportunity for students to practice self-directed learning and allowed them to communicate with passive students through chatting. Fifth, the negative impact of remote classes felt by teachers is that students have difficulty concentrating on classes and that the learning gap between students has also widened. In addition, students' opportunities for musical activities were limited, and individual feedback became difficult.
